It appears that reservations with Uhaul mean absolutely nothing. We had a 26' truck reserved until we didn't. Uhaul canceled it with only a generic email to let us know. No help to get something else or accomadate.Kenzie L.

Since my roommate sold her house, I had to move out a day earlier than expected! Uhaul was accommodating to this unforeseen circumstance, and they were able to fulfill my reservation a day early. The return process was fast and easy, and I was able to move out easily and without issue! The only problem I had was needing to return my 9' van to the original location, and that there was no option for a one-way trip. Overall, I am very satisfied with the service I received.HOLLY D.

My partner and I always, always use the Ogden U-haul location on Wall Avenue. We really have never had anything to complain about. The employees there are always really helpful and I have actually never had a bad interaction there; which is pretty hard to say these days. Two associates in particular, Erik and Jeffrey were really great and their customer service was above expectations. I would also like to comment on their climate controlled storage units. They're freaking awesome. I've had three separate units over the last couple of years and they are always well maintained and pretty dang secure. My partner and I are super grateful to this U-haul location and will continue to use their services. You should consider them too!ROSALIA S.

I was charged for a cleaning fee on an already clean truck that I already paid for. It was not a justifiable charge and I am actively disputing it. This used to be my favorite uhaul because it's nice and big and clean and easy to work with but sneaking charges in someone's contract for nothing is a bunch of crap. I took pictures of the damn thing because it was a mobile pickup and return. If I had an extra $50 to just throw away I'd do it somewhere else.ASHLEY W.

I will never use uhaul again. Worse experience ever. It was a complete crap show since day 1. I reserved ONE box back in January. When I picked up my ubox, the guy at the uhaul place in Ogden Utah said someone put in 2 boxes a few days after I first reserved my box. Come to find out my reservation not only got changed once, not twice but three times. The guy tried to take the 2nd box off my reservation in April when I picked up my box but it wouldn't let him take it off. He called his boss and finally after over 2 hours of him trying to fix it, he had to make a new reservation for me. Then it took the poor guy over an hour the next day to figure out how to delete my first reservation. Then the ubox was guaranteed delivery originally for May 20th then it got pushed back to May 21st then May 22nd. I called May 20th to figure out where my ubox is, come to find out, it was in Albany since MAY 11TH AND WE WERE NEVER INFORMED. I was suppose to pick it up in Schenectady and it never made it there. How is it going to take almost 2 weeks to deliver it 30 mins further!!??? It was a big inconvenience and worst of all, uhaul knew we were coming to the Albany location and when we got there, THERE WAS NO ONE THERE TO HELP US. I CALLED THE 800 NUMBER AND THE LADY ON THE PHONE CALLED THE ALBANY LOCATION AND THE PERSON WAS OUT FOR A DELIVERY AND SAID MY BOX WAS IN THE BACK. Talk about unprofessional customer service. Something about the system needs to change. Especially reservation side. The whole process is crap. I would of been better off buying a trailer and hauling my stuff across country myself. I didn't have a good experience via phone with representatives prior to move in. They lacked customer service skills and technical communication skills. When I started to ask about my storage unit I was hung up on. I believed the first unit I booked to be online move-in accessible, but I ended up not being able to use the online process for that unit, so I ended up booking a different one. This took a significant amount of time to figure out and disrupted my moving schedule. I also ended up getting charged for the first month despite the deal running for first month free if also booking a u-haul truck. Over all my experience and time with the storage unit was great. The only issue I had was when I had gone in to tell them that I was done with the unit. I had to wait over 20 minutes and at that point I was frustrated and finally left. There was one guy working hard to help a customer in one line. In there other line there was an older woman who was being helped by a clerk and for some reason another staff member was standing there watching that interaction who once looked up and said we will be right with you. There was one guy on the phone helping another customer. Two staff members where just walking around behind the desk. In line there was me and one other guy behind me. After waiting for so long I just polightly asked if I had to stay there or if I could just call in later to close out my account. For three days I tried to call and got looped around the phone system and never actully talked to someone. For as many customers that where in the store 4 of us with 5 or so staff members it seems a bit crazy that there was over a 20 minute wait to be serviced and again it was only 20 minutes because I left.Shawna C. | Overall Experience

I ordered the trailer online, did all the extra work (uploaded photos of ID, provided all the extra information, ...) to have the quickest possible checkout. The U-Hal employee at the checkout basically had to redo most of the extra work. That was a waste of time!! Additionally, the location had only one U-Hal employee handling rentals. I waited 15+ minutes for the customer before me to go through the ENTIRE reservation process. That included the U-Hal employee leaving the building to do the hookup / at the vehicle instruction procedures. As far as my reservation, it still took 10+ minutes from the time the U-Hal employee walked back in the building to work on my reservation until the trailer was finally hooked up on my vehicle. I would really hate to be the 2 other people in line after me, they probably had 30-50 minute wait. This location needs to have multiple U-Hal employees working on the rental checkout.Michael M.

i rented a unit for $54+ from a helpful young lady, left the facility and returned home. Then I realised that the Unit I had chosen in the facility would not be suitable. I tried to rearrange the unit over the phone, the young lady advised me that she was unable to see what was available and what was not. Consequently I returned a little later to the facility to rearrange the rental and the female customer service rep, Carol, was little more than unpleasant. She was rude, curt and unhelpful. She claimed that the price I had been quoted in the morning of $59+, and that was also listed on the website, was not the price of the unit I requested in place of the original one. She claimed that it was $69+ and had always been that price. She offered no explanation for the price hike of $10, other than that it was the original price. I left and immediately found another provider, with a site manager who has had some customer service training and knows how to employ it. I am happily ensconced at that site Bad choice of employee, U-Haul. I will not return to your facility for any service or product. I made a reservation. Had a reservation confirmation, and when I went to move in, I was told the reservation meant nothing because there weren't any spaces available. I was told it was first come, first serve which I thought the reservation would help with. It didn't. The manager Ms. Kennedy is one of the most unprofessional rude people I’ve EVER encountered at a Uhaul. She also took it upon herself to close use for customers to use the restrooms, stating,” I’m tired of putting toilet paper in and having it go missing!” So, with all the money we customers pay she first put a keypad outside each bathroom, then closed the bathrooms with a sign. I think there are laws she’s breaking and secondly she doesn’t own this Uhaul. She also treats customers rudely, she is not a good representative of Uhaul and I hope they replace her.
