At the end of the day, our goods where delivered and in good condition overall but initially I was given three uboxes that were not on my order. Then when returned, one of our uboxes with our things and it was assigned to someone else. The mistake was was eventually sorted out and fixed for which I am grateful but that was unfortunate that it happened in the first place. I had to make two additional trips to get some assistance and had to reschedule our moving help. it appears that there was a lot of confusion with many moving parts. That said, All of the employees where nice and helpful and at the end of the day everything worked.Martin M.

I brought my Subaru Forester in to have it assessed for towing an open trailer. Sales associate, Dempsey, took the time to go under the vehicle, assess the work, rate the installed hitch, suggest the proper additions (with no over sales), secure the trailer and give me peace of mind. It was the first time I have towed a trailer with vehicle. His wife, Kathy, rang me up and did the exchange when I needed a bigger pin. There was also another gentleman, young, shoulder length hair who was so helpful. All-in-all, it was a team and I made the trip with no incidences or fear of the trailer become loose. My truck had a lock that I couldn't open on the drivers side. I had to open and crawl in from the passenger side. It was hard to start the truck. Sometimes it took 10 minutes. I reserved a 5x12 storage unit. When I got there, there was no 5x12 available. I was looking forward to the first month free. Instead, I had to go somewhere else to get a storage unit with a company that doesn't offer the free month. When I reserve something online, I expect it to be available!!!!Kelly B.

I am very dissatisfied with your staff as i was leaving with your Uhaul I could hear alot of noises from the truck. But did not have time to turn back to return it. I also notice that the gas in the Truck was almost on empty and i forget to take a picture of it. I had to go put 50 dollars in gas after and the truck was making alot more noise thought it was going to break down. I dropped it off early because of it i ran into the mechanic guy did not get his name also your front desk person they both explained Oh that truck does that its something to do with the muffler or something to that extent. How am i paying for this service do I feel SAFE on the damn ROAD WITH THIS KIND OF SERVICE !Also ask the guy at the desk about the gas. He suggest that DID I TAKE A EFFIN PICTURE OF THE GAS GAUGE . Delivery and pickup of the U-box were rescheduled a couple times at the origin location due to no availability of drivers but was otherwise unremarkable and very easy. Plenty of space in the box, well constructed, lots of moving blankets, no complaints. At the destination location every single step of the process was bungled. I called U-haul to arrange delivery, was told they do not deliver to my location and it would be an additional $550 to contract movers to deliver the box ~50 miles (after I'd paid ~$1200 to ship the box ~2000 miles). I paid for the delivery and never received a confirmation email or updated order number on my account. To follow up on the delivery and confirm the address, I called again and was told U-Haul had no record of the previously arranged delivery OR record of my payment even though the charge went through on my payment method. I was directed to contact MovingHelp the third party movers. After 2 days of being unable to reach them via phone, I was able to contact MovingHelp via the customer help chat option on the website. Was informed that there was NO order under my contact details and that the charge on my payment method would â€œfall offâ€. I ended up disputing the charge with my bank because MovingHelp did not even attempt to process me a refund for the money I paid for an order that never actually existed. When I called to arrange a time to personally come to the storage facility and empty the box into my vehicle I was informed there was NO RECORD of my box arriving at the destination location (even though I'd received email confirmation). Apparently the box was incorrectly assigned to another account and thus my order had not been completed on the warehouse side. When the box was finally located and re-assigned to the correct customer I arranged time to physically come to the facility and unpack the box. In written confirmation I was told I'd be able to access the box 12pm-6pm. Thank goodness my family member had the sense to call and confirm this on the day of as we were then told at about 4:30pm (when we were free after finishing the work day) that the appointment had actually been made for 12pm and the facility closes at 4pm and I'd need to reschedule for another day as they were unable to accommodate us. This was simply unacceptable as I'd previously received BOTH verbal and written confirmation that I'd be able to access the container until 6pm. The employees at the facility did end up opening the storage facility for us (greatly appreciated) and we unpacked the U-box without further issues. Every single step of this process has been aggravating. If I could give it 0/5 stars I would. It is absolutely NOT the fault of the 10+ people I spoke with on the phone (I know everyone is just trying to do their jobs I get it) but still I am staggered by the miscommunication and inconsistency. Employees did their best to assist with the situation but it was still a circus. I only went with U-haul because family members had a positive experience. Unfortunately it was not the case for me and I will not be a return customer after this experience.abigail A.

I never understood why the fuel tank isn't filled at the beginning of each trip. It's a lot easier to top off the tank each time, then to try and figure out how many gallons it needs to fill it to the 1/4 tank, 1/3 tank, 1/2 tank when the truck is first picked up. Plus, with a full tank and not < 1/4, I need to put gas in it twice, as it''s difficult to estimate how far each gallon will take me.Patric D.

We ordered two Ubox containers to be shipped to Tacoma Washington from Martinsville Indiana. Our experience in Martinsville Indiana was amazing, and made our move very smooth. However, our experience with the Tacoma location has been very disappointing. We made reservations both times to pick up our containers. However both times staff were not ready to let us self-deliver our containers. The first Ubox took an hour and a half to get out of storage and hooked up to our car. The second time, the U box was not pulled at all and we were sent away. This experience has cost us time, money, and set us back on our move. We are generally very flexible customer, especially with the pandemic and obvious staffing issues. However both times we had a reservation we were not called or notified at all that our U box would not be ready for us and the whole location seems disorganized. We are extremely disappointed with the service we received in Tacoma.Bailey H.

Truck was filthy and the window was cracked and the front tires were near bald and I turned it in Walla Walla a day earlier than I originally ordered, March 31st., and I thought I'd get a day taken off the bill but I'm now aware of your policy of No Refund For Bringing Back your poor vehicle. The address/access of our initial order, 182nd & Canyon, was horrible! There was no signage, no indicator as to how to access the trucks, no instructions on where/how to retrieve the key. When we found where the key locker was located, there was no key in the locker. I would never work with this site again. 96th and Pacific location was offline and unable to proceed without a written contract. I reserved a 6x12 trailer over a month ago. You were unable to provide what I reserved. Rather you gave me a much smaller 5x8. What is the point of making any reservation? At the very least give me a reduced rate on the trailer.. Which cost me over $300 for two days. Unbelievable. The facility in Spokane I dropped off at had over 40 trailers.. Most 6x12... All sitting there making no money for you. Why don't you load them on a truck and move them back to west side of Washington where there were none available? Online instructions were incomplete and led me to believe I could access my unit without going to the office during business hours. Email gave me an access code that has never/will never work. Online instructions should mention that you still need to go into the office to complete move in and get an access card in order to access the unit. My unit was broken into. Thought only a few thousand in items were stolen when I did a quick walk thru. After moving my stuff out found that more than I originally thought was taken. Around 5 thousand dollars worth of items stolen. Was told cameras were not working that day! Haha!!! All this does not even include the items that can NEVER be replaced!!!!! Oh and OVER 5 thousand dollars in tools that I didn’t know how to account for because I’ve been buying them for over 20 years. So thank you for keeping my items safe Uhaul. I can see from your public tv in the lobby that the cameras look fine to me but for sum reason they didn’t work when all my stuff was stolen. As far as renting a truck from Uhaul that seems to be ok. I wish I could give this more stars, but every single time we ever talked to a U-Haul employee we had negative experiences. They clearly do not hire people that are friendly. It’s especially bad as this was my first experience using their storage facility. It was very confusing at the beginning how we were allowed to enter and exit the building. Every time we asked for help they were unfriendly and somewhat unhelpful. They spoke to us like we should already know exactly what we are supposed to do. I had a huge sense of relief whenever we stopped using the storage facility yesterday. The facility itself seemed maintained well enough. I felt the price was fair.
