I reserved a truck online, and was extremely confused when I was notified days later that my reservation was in fact just a 'request'. Had to reschedule my move due to a shortage of trucks. Very annoying, do not look forward to working with U-Haul in the future. Staff at this location was polite though.

If a reservation is made at one place dont make the customer run all over town and have to pay all the different places separate and get charged twice for things that should have been one transaction.

Very long lines. Poor interface. I feel sorry for the people who work here because you wait so long you're angry by the time someone waits on you and they pay. You really need to look into this. This is not my first time here and I have a rental here too.

I requested a auto transport in Othell,Wa When the agent called me to schedule pick up location. I was on a Easter egg hunt. 1st. Pick up spot. 90 miles away 2nd spot 60 miles Finally pick up 40 miles away. I was told. Give us 48 hrs notice. Will have it ready for you This is not my version of customer service. For the all the hassle. I should of just bought 1 and sold it when I was done with it

You should explain how the wiring installation will be done before doing the job. I have never heard of "internal" wiring and frankly should not have a wiring harness loose in the back of my van except when I'm using it. I should not have to have the wiring harness hanging out of the back door of my van when I'm using it. Wiring should be integrated into the hitch! I'm not very happy or satisfied with the job.

Inform customers about your 1 day rental thru the weekend. Stood in line for an hour on Sat morning to rent so have at least 2 people at computers.

Worst experience I have had with U-Haul. The people are nice, but basically tell you anything to get you to rent a truck. Online I saw may choices for rental, but when I called the places no one had the equipment I wanted except the Pasco center. I told the Pasco person that I had to drive extra milage to and from that place. She suggested I talk to the manager when I came in to see of he could help me. Of course he could not and she knew that, but just wanted to rent me the truck. The person that helped me was the manager. The place was understaffed for being Saturday 9 AM with only 1 person to help the 10 people in line. The manager finally came in and helped, but had a line of people to talk to him also. He ended up helping me, but jumped over to another customer in the middle of my transaction, I left with a feeling of missing something, but I needed to get going with my move. He charged me 80.00 on my 1 day rental since I used a Debit. I had a charge card, but he did not say anything about that. Other than it was 80 becuase it was a debit. The estimated charge was 52.00, the final charge was 58.00. But actually it was 80.00. I called after later on the day that I returned the truck and asked what the final charge was. then had not processed the paperwork yet though. I asked if my Card would be credited the amount, if it was under the 80.00, which I new it was going to be. The person said they credit the card, I said fine I will look for the charge and also the email that he mentioned would come my way. Yes, I received an email on Tuesday, but it was the orginal receipt for 80.00. that I received Tuesday. So I called on Wednesday to see what the actual charge was. I found out the difference was being mailed to me. WTF is that about? I told the person they did not even have my mailing address, so where was it going. Which of course they did not use my mailing address. The used the address that the truck was being used at, for the mailing address. Which will likley take weeks to receive, if I ever do. So the charge is 80.00 actually, not 58.00. So now I have to deal with the manager again to fix it. If that is possible. One person should start and complete a transaction. If using a debit card a full explanation should be given on how the transaction would proceed.. Also a clear explaination of refunds or credits given. I think it is dishonest and deceiving to charge someone an overage amount then the estimated charge on your debit and then instead of crediting it, mail you a check. While in line I heard numerous stories of people waiting for this manager to talk to, all looking for explanations on charges. Hmmmm maybe that should have been my clue to LEAVE and NOT USE UHAUL.

All my belongings got soaked because the roof leaked. Seal on the driver door leaked, and they told me my vehicle would be safe parked in the parking lot and I came back to a dent in my trunk lid! Awful!!!

Delivery was 3 days late The delivery mover would not do it for the price u haul was going to give him so I delivered it myself. I spent at least two hours on hold trying to talk to the right person to get it fixed. None of this was the fault of the destination u-haul. No one has suggested that they give me the $50.00 per day for the late days that was on the contract.

I made my reservation 3 days before I needed it, yet I was bumped from Kennewick to spokane and then to pasco. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with uhaul. If I make a reservation 3 days early, my rental should be priority over same day rentals.

My frustration is not with the 3212 Pasco facility, but with the corporate reservation process. The entire region was locked down the weekend of June 10-11. I needed a 1-way truck on the 11th and was repeatedly told that nothing was available from Pendleton to Tri-cities to Spokane to CDA. Yet Sunday morning there were at least 15 trucks parked at one CDA location. There were plenty of vehicles available all over but 'nothing was available' for a 1-way. Not exactly credible customer service.

I dropped off the truck on Sunday 6.4.17 at 5:45 pm. I left it with the pads locked in the cab, full tank of gas as when I picked it up and had 43,089.3 miles on the vehicle.

Rented a 26 foot van for one day and got the whole house house moved in one trip. For under $100.00 I don't know of any cheaper or easier way to move.

Couple reasons why I rated this location that way. 1. There was a moving dolly and a bag of moving blankets in the back of the truck I asked the ladies inside to remove them as I didn't want them and they were taking up space that I needed. They said they came with the truck and can't be removed. I explained I was using the truck local for 8 hrs and when i returned they could put them back. Both ladies were quite rude and dissmisive of my request. So I'm renting a truck and can't use all the space because the dolly and blankets are strapped in with Uhaul seals which if broken they will charge me for using them. Very upsetting. 2. The check engine light was on and the A/C kept shutting off. 3. Used local for 8 hours and it cost me over $300.00 unbelievable.

When I asked if they had another trailer, they said the trailer they gave me would work for my car. I could not pull my car all the way forward because of the stops up front were too tall for my front end to go over them. So I had to leave the car set back on the trailer and strap it down with other straps. Made the tongue of the trailer light. Was fun pulling it for 2400 miles.

We went to the local office in Pasco, the Hispanic girl working the desk acted like we bothering her by even coming in. Was not helpful in anyway. We had to come home and get information about available truck and rates on line. However the service in Pullman where we dropped off the truck was fast, friendly and helpful.

The dealer I returned the truck to did not check the truck in with me present however, as I was leaving the lot he went out to the truck and checked it in without me present. 20 minutes later I checked my bank account and noticed a $59 charge from that dealer on my account in addition to what I had already paid. He charged me for an extra day! He also charged me for something else but I have not received a receipt.

This was a local rental. The pick up went smoothly but the return experience was not great. We had to wait approximately 30 minutes for someone to help us. There were a lot of customers and only 1 person working. When we finally did get help the service was friendly.

Maybe not uhaul in general, but the pasco, wa branch is worthless and a bad representation of uhaul as a company. The entire experience was terrible, from poor customer service to faulty equipment, that had us stranded in the middle of nowhere. If you are gonna have a hitch installed go somewhere else. These people have no business anywhere near electical anything. Oh, and road side assistance doesnt exsist. Don't bother and save your phone battery for a game or something you'll get more out of for your time.

This will be abbreviated because of character limit but, Uhaul of pasco is very professional and uhaul corporate is a terrible company and should be ashamed of how they treated us throughout our move.

Well to start I would not call one of their references before first calling the renter. My truck was brought back on time gas at the right interval and clean. Yet my reference was called and told that we needed to report the truck as stolen. All days after its return. That would be a big procedural thing to work on. Such as to search your lot for the truck before insinuating that a truck was stolen.

We have rented several times & will continue as we are moving furniture from storage to a hotel opening. The hotel was not ready to receive the furniture so it is stored in several storage units. I was surprised & disappointed when we brought the vehicle back to Pasco instead of Richland by accident. We have never returned it to Richland before & accidently returned it to Pasco. There was a fee for retuning it to the wrong place. They tried to wave it knowing we are renting often. They were told no at the dispatch or corporate? They split it with me at the store which was nice but really what is the value of a long time customer? $32.00??? Warm regards, Wendy

I did get the move completed. On the receipt however it is written that the customer receives "lowest price guarantee" even if a combination of rates are needed to provide the customer with the best rate available. I paid a higher rate and spent 3 hours on the phone with no resolve.

The customer service by Christopher at the pasco location was less than stellar. Our hitch installation was to take an hour. it ended up being 3 hours and we were stranded, waiting there until an hour after closing time while he finished as he was helping others and the other staff weren't at the desk. He had a bit of an attitude when we asked how much longer as it was supposed to be an hour. He made excuses on all the other people he had to help. We didn't understand if they were short handed why they gave us such a late installation time of 5 pm . We didn't leave until 8 pm that evening.

Clerk should discuss situation with customer when upgrading to a large truck. Going 1200 miles is hard on fuel when given a much larger truck than needed. I only needed a 10 ft and was given a 15 ft truck. I believe it cost me more in fuel.

The facility, service counter and staff were good. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The truck apparently had just come in from anther rental and REEKED of smoke and was dirty. Anything that was mine that was left in the cab now stinks. Sure would be nice to know U-Haul had a smokeless fleet!

My first reservation was at a location 35 miles away but when they couldn't fulfill my reservation this was the only location available. No mention of the guarantee reservation was mentioned and wasn't the best experience I'll probably try another company next time I need a trailer.

This place was a nightmare. I checked in online to make checkin once I got there quick; it was not. I stood around waiting, without any word, for them to bring around the truck for about 30 minutes. Several other people came in, checked in (or even initiated a rental) and had thier trucks (and were long gone) by the time they FINALLY told me that the truck was almost there; 5 or 10 more minutes after that, they finally brought the truck around. So Manny, the manager, told me that he'd at least let me have the moving blanket and dolly rental that I got with it for free (to compensate for the long, long wait); I just got the receipt; nope, fully charged. He claimed that the battery had gone flat and they needed to charge it before bring the truck around. OK, it must be their only 26' truck, right? So, I take off, and got maybe a quarter mile away (or less) just enough to get on the limited access highway, up the start of a bridge, where there is no shoulder, and bam. Truck is full dead, will not restart, nothing. The police came and pushed it over the bridge (with their cruisers) so that I could at least not be blocking traffic and was somewhere I could get out of the truck without near-certain death. Meanwhile I had called uhaul, and Manny was coming. He brought... you guessed it, another (newer, nicer) 26' truck. WTF?!? Why didn't they just give me that one in the first place? Manny is, once again, all apologetic, and says he'll make it right when he checks me out. Fine, I need to get this move done. So, I get the move done; it takes me 2 days instead of one, because a) I was late getting started and b) snow and ice suck, a lot. I return the truck; apparently after hours. I pull up and some dude kinda waves at me and says pull the truck over here, then jumps in a pickup and takes off. I pull the truck over there, then get out and look for whomever is going to check me out, or at least take the key. I wait, and wait; the dude is pulling trailers in and parking them, I wait (did I mention it is single digits F outside? No? It was); finally I figure that maybe I need ot go inside; I glance over at the door and see 7 am to 7 pm repeatedly, so I figured I was good to head in (it was around 6:45 by this time). I walk in and no one is there; lights are on, door is unlocked, but no one is home. I walk out for a minute to put some stuff in my car, then return and wait. Eventually the dude comes in and yells at me: "What are you doing in here!?" like I was robbing the place. I told him I was waiting for someone to come in so I could check out. He said that they were closed, but he took the key, at least, and said to call back during business hours. I'll admit; I was exhausted and forgot to call the next day. The day after I called in and asked for Manny; they said he was out, so I asked if I could leave him a message to call me back. The agreed. He never called back. I did, however, get checked out; I got emailed the receipt. Needless to say no "taking

Assistant the customer with appropriate and necessary resources to deal with weather conditions. If there was access to chains to deal with the snow I would probably feel a different way. For one of the biggest rental conpanies out there you would think you guys would provide vehicles with 4WD. And if not at least provide some way of dealing with that issue. Cost me a lot of money to get unstuck 11 times in a 24 hour window. The location itself wasn't so much the issue.

Service at the site was good enough - especially considering I was picking up the trailer in 20-degree weather with snow. Only real issue has nothing to do with the site, but rather the online reservation. I was moving locally in Benton City, but chose this busy Pasco pickup location 30+ minutes away because the online reservation system said that was the closest location with the trailer I needed available during the time I needed it. During the move I visited the local U-Haul agent in Benton City to rent an appliance dolly, and discovered that they had several of the same trailer sitting available on their lot (which the person I talked to confirmed were indeed available). If the reservation system had allowed me to reserve one for pickup there, it would have saved me 2+ hours of driving and fuel for pickup and return.

This location in particular had some issues that caused great stress on moving day that were unnecessary. If a truck is listed as available online and through the main Customer Service number, it should be available when showing up. Whatever logistics matrix is used that determines which trucks are available for local/one-way rentals, it shouldn't affect the customer, which it did in our case. But mostly, the issue was with the attitude of the workers on duty. There was a strong feeling expressed that they were seeing our transaction only from their perspective. No apology for inconvenience, or suggestions for at all for alternative solutions. Just a cold answer of what policy was. Attitudes indicated that we could take it or leave it, we should have known better. It was only when we returned later that we dealt with a visiting manager that we felt like we were getting SERVICE. After this experience we spoke with the men we hired to help pack the truck and all three of them said that they had had similar experiences. One of them even said to me, "Was this at the Pasco location? Yeah, they REALLY don't care about the customer there" The return of the credit hold was also VERY slow, When paying in cash, that credit hold should be released IMMEDIATELY. Other companies (like gas stations) do it, I'm sure U-Haul could figure out how. As far as products, the appearance, etc., the Pasco location was good... as far as dealing with customers... Not at all acceptable.

Our box was delivered on time, no problems there. We packed it up and sent it away, assuming you guys were keeping track of all of it. That is where the problem started, when we called to have our box delivered no one had any idea where the box was. We contacted customer service and were repeatedly told that someone would look into this and get back to you right away. No one ever called back, ever. We always had to call and harass your customer service, who had no record of the previous calls, and start the process over again. Finally one of your agents was able to provide us with the local managers for the area. The locals were able to locate our box by tracing our order number date and manually looking through where ever it is they keep their crates. I requested they drop it off and was told, "Sure thing, let me take down your number and someone will give you a call right away." Once again, I had to call back myself to schedule a drop off the next day. Once we connected the box was delivered promptly. In summary, the delivery crate idea is amazing but your execution was TERRIBLE. Your process and tools for tracking these crates needs improvement or your personnel needs better training.

When we rented the truck the service person said the gas tank was 1/2 full and that was all we needed to have in it when we returned the truck (even though the paperwork said it was 3/4 full). So we returned the truck with a gas tank 1/2 full and we were charged for 11 gallons or $46.75. We tried to explain this to the desk person but honestly we thought he was quite surly. When we asked to review our bill he seemed annoyed. U-Haul can do better.

You can respond to the email I sent regarding the bill and the extra charges it included. I sent you the emailed quote that said the $230 rate included 450 miles yet you charged me for $44.37 for 153 extra miles when I only travel 453 miles total so 3 miles over. At .29cents a mile that should have been ~.90 cents. Also you charged me for an extra day $79 when I returned the cargo van on the day it was due after hours - no one told me the there would be a charge for a full day. I picked up the van at 4:30 on Friday afternoon you close at 5 on Sunday so I missed the 5 o-clock closing and got charged for an entire day? Please honor the $230 price quote I was emailed. I sent an email with attachments showing the price quote and the bill and still have not received a response more than a week later! Don't rent from this location!

The passenger door seal was nearly completely off. The truck had a very strong jerky pulsating motion whenever coming to a stop. When turning corners something in the steering would grind noticeably. Engine wise the truck ran great and it was clean inside. The store seemed short handed and a little chaotic. But the staff was very kind. It was nice that the salesman gave us a size bigger truck than what we actually rented online due to a customer not having the one we were due to get back to the store in time for our 2p rental. When I went into the store to rent a trailer there were two employees. One was a manager and one was employee by the name of Erica. Not sure on spelling of name. I approaced the desk where Erica was sitting. She was on what was obviously a personal call by what she was saying over the phone and because she attempting to talk quietly so i could not hear her converstion. She told me that someone would be with me in a minute. The manager was busy with a customer. The manager did a good job of getting to me. I was instructed by him to go around to the back of the building to pick up the trailer and that someone would meet me back there. I drove around back and waited back there for 10 minutes. No one came out to help me. I went back up to the store and the only person at the desk was Erica. She was on the same personal call. When I walked over to her desk she stopped talking on the phone for a moment to ask me if I found what I needed and I explained to her that I went to the back and no one was there. She told me that someone would come into the store to help me. She continued back on her personal phone call again! The manager came in and assisted me. I decided to rent a truck instead of a trailer and he worked me through that process. I am frustrated because I was in a hurry that day with workers who were being paid on the clock while they waited for me to come back with the truck. Upon returning the truck the next day the handheld unit the employee was using was not working efficiently at that time for him, delaying check out. This store was not a good experience.

I waited 20 minutes in line without even a hello. Left but had to come back later only because the Kennewick location didn't have the hitch item I needed. Otherwise I would have never go to Pasco. We had rented a 26 ft truck and an auto trailer We were told by Pasco that we had to load the truck then come back to them for they needed to attach the auto trailer. We did but then had to spend 30 minutes after getting trailer attached to do a repeat of the paperwork we had done before ! He yelled at another customer and was rude to us. He complained about his coworkers being late and did not honor what the rep told us. Gave us a cheaper trailer because the one I rented was blocked and he didn't want to move vehicle to get the one we rented out. I made a complaint to customer service and was supposed to receive a call from the manager which has never happened. We have rented several times included a storage unit for over a year from uhaul and I will never use them again because of all this! Terrible experience by every single department.

I dropped my Jeep at 11am, with an appointment scheduled at 12 noon to get trailer brakes installed. I called at 2:30 pm and had a bad land connection, on uhauls end. I was asked to call back. I did and could not get through. I called the GM cell and left a message @ 230pm, 345, and 545 with no call back. Finally at 550 i was able to speak to someone at a call center. He said he would have someone contact me. As i am writing this, at 610pm, i have yet to hear from uhaul. That is terrible customer service. Now i have no vehicle for friday evening!!!!! I am very disappointed and will NEVER use that place of business AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!

U-Haul's customer service was horrible. I dealt with two different people over the phone in order to make a reservation. The first person (Doug) was generally unfriendly and discourteous. As well as unable (or possibly just unwilling) to answer any of my questions or to provide clarity on some of the conditions of the reservation. With the second guy, we made it through the process, but he too seemed just barely competent and seemed unable to discuss the particulars of the reservation. Once I got to the U-Haul store, I walked in and waited for quite some time while another unfriendly and not very courteous employee worked to take care of the people in line ahead of me. After waiting for between 5 to 10 minutes, I made it to the front of the line and after being asked, I gave my name and I said that I had a reservation. The lady told me to drive around back and someone would take care of me. After driving around back, I waited for several minutes until a guy came out and promptly took care of me. However, the trailer that I was to take was "hung up" with the trailer next to it that was being taken by a guy that arrived after me. He had to pull away first in order for my trailer to get out. So I had to go back into the store and wait again in line after this guy who arrived after I did! Moreover I listened to this guy in front of me explain to the lady at the counter (the same unfriendly one from before) how he had made his reservation for a trailer at a nearby U-Haul location 4 weeks earlier and this day he showed up and the trailer was not there. The customer service person offered him a discount, however it was not in the system and this lady knew nothing about it. About this time, the young man who hooked my trailer up out back came in and called me over and he completed my transaction. His name was Eleroy and he was professional and courteous. At this point I was extremely frustrated with each of the people that I had dealt with and I told Eleroy that he was the best person I'd dealt with that day. Overall, it seems that customer service is not emphasized by management. Or maybe I was just really unlucky. But even when I returned my trailer, the guy that checked my trailer in was frustrated about a situation there with his work. I will try to use a company other than U-Haul in the future if possible.

We live in Richland. There are three U-Haul outlets in Richland, none were able to have a truck available for us to rent. The only other rental place close was Pasco, 10+ miles away. My reservation was for 7:30, I arrived at 7:20. One customer followed me in and there was one customer at the counter. There was one U-Haul employee checking out this customer and when she used the wakie talkie to request that a rig be pulled up for a customer she received no response. She eventually ran to the back and called out for somebody to take care of the customer's U-Haul by bringing it up so the customer could leave. At 7:35 the next customer was at the desk. He had a reservation but there was no time stamp on it and your system said his reservation was for 12:00 noon. After some negotiation the U-Haul clerk was able to get him a rental, not the size he wanted nor the price, but he was able to leave by 7:50. My turn. It was foolish of me to believe the original price quote that was advertised. I figured it would cost more than advertised but not two and a half times more. My reservation was for 7:30. I left the U-Haul at 8:10. The rental was for 4 hours and since the reservation was for 7:30, the fact that it took half an hour to get me checked out was not factored in to the time I could have the rig. The original advertised price was $19:95 with mileage and fees. I drove 25 miles. I was charged $69.61. I will not be fooled again.
