David KTruck had problems in not being able to start because the key was stuck and would not rotate. Had to call and wait for help. I kept trying and finally after wiggling it many times it started. This was repeated several times! Secondly I had reserved pads but they were not in the truck. On checking out when I returned the truck that evening, I was charged $15 - had to wait for a manager to show up for the refund. Seems the staff is not trained or does not pay attention to taking care of business.

However, we were charged more since we didn't get to confirm the mileage recorded on the vehicle before we started. We were so charged close to 40 miles on the trip.

TILMON MI stored my furniture for several months. I had my monthly fees paid by auto draft. My payment was paid 4 days before I moved my furniture out of the storage unit. I asked if I would be refunded for the remainder of of the month. I was told there wouldn't be a refund. I feel that I should have been refunded for the remaining days.

Carter LDidn't see the inside of the facilities since I picked up after hours. The mobile pickup (U-Haul Truck Share 24/7) was absolutely horrendous. The video instructions on your website were outdated, and the proper way to access the "Pick Up My Truck" button (by swiping up on the bottom pop-up menu) didn't function on the app, nor did it work on mobile browsers for Firefox or Safari. My travel partner had to download Google Chrome on their phone in order to get the pop-up menu to function so that we could access the truck. It turned what should have been a 5 minute process into 40 minutes. Unless you fix your app functionality, I would NEVER recommend someone to pick up or drop off a truck after hours.

Mark LEverything is perfect except the floors and size of the carts. The floors are way too uneven causing things to fall off the tiny carts and it was very uncomfortable to move things to and from my storage unit. Where the floors were smooth, totally different experience.

Joseph WI never got to store anything because the GM Craig screwed everything up and was rude to me. I had no storage unit once I got there. Had to reload all my stuff back on the truck. Paid people to move me, was out of money and then had to keep my things in a Uhaul truck in the street for a week. This was horrible. There were Rat droppings everywhere in the facility. It was a horrible experience l. Then I get a call yesterday telling me I’m late for a payment! IDONT HAVE ANYTHING STOREDAT YOUR FACILITY!

We paid extra for units on a temperature-controlled floor, but we saw several times in the summer that the air conditioning was not actually working, and the temperature was higher than what we were promised. Every time we brought it up, staff pretended to be confused or surprised and made dubious excuses. The facility is in okay but not great condition. The bathrooms aren't clean or maintained. There's a person living on the 5th floor, and the staff knows about it but has done nothing about it for months, despite the fact that the contract we all sign clearly says you cannot reside in your unit. I feel for this person and recognize the challenges of today's housing market, but I had two awkward encounters with this person that added stress to an already stressful time. Staff should do the right thing and support this person to find real housing.

VASILIOS SMy online reservation was perfect and then the guy at the store messed it up. My storage unit was supposed to be a 5x10x9. When I got to the facility the until we were assigned wasn’t available and we had a 10x10. I’m keeping it for now because I’m over it. The person on the shift got a straightened out but I’m going to downsize after the holidays. It was way too much to deal with and now I’ll be paying $165 for a unit I didn’t want in the first place. Also, getting anyone I believe you when you call in is miracle.
Melissa W | Overall ExperienceMy over the phone reservation was perfect. I replicated my previous rental. When I got to the store the guy messed everything up. Including my storage unit. I was supposed to have my rental for 24 hrs but received a message stating I had to return it at 2 pm. The guy never asked me what time I wanted to return it so I assumed he was following my reservation. I had also upgraded my storage unit, online, to the next size up. He canceled out that reservation and gave me a 10x10. My reservation was for a 5x10. I’ve rented from uHaul 3 times in 30 days. Every time I go into that store I get the same guy. He is nice but he messes me up every time. I try to be overly nice but I don’t feel heard. I know they deal with a lot but it’s frustrating and I now have a huge unit I don’t need and I’m paying more than I wanted to. I spills have taken care of it when I was there but life been exhausting and so has the uHaul store.

David STruck was very old and basically falling apart. Headliner falling down, visor taped up with duct tape. Truck had a massive radiator leak, and was showing check engine light on and off. Was a total dog to drive. When we contacted U-Haul, they basically told us to keep driving it til it fell apart. Have rented a ton of times and this was a first. This truck has no business being in their fleet. Especially for a rental that was to last over 10 days with a 1000-mile anticipated trip.

Later that day when I was no longer at the facility, a man called very aggressively and scolded me for not having a lock, which I told him that I was instructed I was all set and did not need to do anything else to my Ubox. He continued to talk to me aggressively and was not very helpful in finding a solution to the issue, he sounded annoyed and finally told me my lock I returned after closing my storage unit will be used after I told him that I was no longer in the area of the U-Haul and had to Uber to reach the facility. Overall the staff is usually really nice and helpful, but I now feel nervous and skeptical that my unit will be able to be accessed easily after this encounter as I no longer have the keys for the lock.

Also when I went to close out I called and spoke to someone and they said they would go check the unit and send me an email as long as everything was out. That’s not what happened no one called and I kept getting bills and text messages stating that my storage was empty. So I called the second time and the young man was kind enough to do what he said he was going to do. But it did take two calls and the first call I had to be on the phone for almost a half an hour to speak to somebody

Timothy B | Overall ExperienceAs I told the young man yesterday when he was checking me out of my storage unit when he asked if I had a good experience: this isn't even the closest storage unit or truck rental place for me. I went here a few years ago when I needed to move and the staff were so helpful, friendly, and accommodating it was unbelievable. That was around 2018 maybe and I still choose to get all of my trucks and storage spaces here. Additionally, I still see some of the faces around that I saw back then. That tells me that Mike is doing everything right. He must be a very knowledgeable dude. I always know that this part of moving will be easy and convenient.

While I absolutely love the beautiful old wood flooring, there are areas that are missing chunks of wood and are in need of repair. These areas make the carts vibrate so badly that it shakes things off the cart, leading to the major annoyance of having to continually stop to pick up the stuff that had fallen off, and the possible damage caused from it. Maybe softer, more shock-absorbing wheels on the carts might be the quickest, least expensive solution. Everything else about my move-in was great, and I would highly recommend this facility to anyone. Jayla was especially awesome and incredibly helpful.

Mike's assistance at the counter was excellent - he was welcoming, friendly, and gave clear & thorough move-in instructions that were simple to follow and quickly led me to our unit. We had several large items to move in (a bed frame and large dresser) and were a little worried about how it would go moving to an upper-level storage unit, but there is a spacious unloading area, free carts and dollies, and a large freight elevator that made moving in a breeze. I highly recommend this location!
