I contacted Uhaul several times while driving from Nashville to Dallas with extreme wait times for each call. I was finally given a reservation at the location I requested for a drive up unit. Upon arrival the type of unit I requested was not honored by either manager Scott or Bobbi when I arrived at the Plano Allen location. I was instructed to call the Uhaul customer service line where I AGAIN waited in access of 20 minutes on hold. The customer service representative AGAIN booked a drive up unit first month free, added my credit card for automatic billing, said I was set to go. I returned to the counter where I was delayed once AGAIN when the manager couldn’t initiate the contract that was started by customer service. After he (Scott) made several calls for help and almost TWO HOURS later he gave me a unit and asked me to return after my HIRED guys unloaded and he should have the help he requested to complete the contract. After unloading a full truck the contract still had not been done properly. I received a call the following day where I had to give all of my credit card information AGAIN to initiate the contract! How many people, calls and hours should it take to perform a service? I paid my guys for hours of waiting around and then paid to finally unload my truck! Time is money! To say I am beyond frustrated, tired and outdone would be an understatement! Very poor customer service and no desire was apparent to obtain customer satisfaction! There was a ton of misinformation... not everyone is on the same page, at this location. There were offers made that were incorrect and/or not verified. This led to us having to quickly move items... with only a few days notice. The storage unit that we were told was good through the end of March, because of our multiple vehicle rentals, ended up only being good until February 28th (which still wasn't the 30 days that we were told was the contract period). We called and were assured it was fixed and we'd receive a follow up call. It wasn't and we didn't. The next call was about a week later telling us that the rental period was up. Receipts weren't emailed and couldn't be printed. The manager was nice but that didn't fix any of the issues we had to try to figure out due to their mistakes. This unit was much smaller and almost three times the price of one we found at another location with a much smoother process/better communication/ extended hours. If you've got time and money to waste, this is your place. If not, be warned.roshonda w. | Overall Experience

I am so sad to rate you so bad but I had my stuff in storage from 2012 till 2020.. 3 plus lay offs a hurricane surgery pandemic and more....after all those years and rate increases 135 to 185 and being told everything is ok no problems I let the insurance go.... only to find 3 bug rats dried up and ate everything from top of unit til floor and couch and chairs and books and pictures an plastic dolls chewed up..... after 10000 dollars this is what I get...... unbelievable........hope we don’t get sick from rat droppings Nice means nothing when what I paid for did not happenVENITTA B. | Overall Experience

The door to my unit was broken. I couldn’t open it myself because of it being broken. It slammed shut very hard while I was inside of it and almost hit me. Every staff member I interacted with was fantastic and helped me as much as they could. Hiring and training staff seems to be the only thing Uhaul does well. I booked my experience online and every single thing about it was awful. The website is garbage, the rental process is a joke, and ensuring I got what I needed was non-existent. the website promised me everything and then the staff of the THREE locations and a call center had to do everything they could to fix the problems your website caused. Turns out they couldn't because Uhaul corporate is a tire fire. They tired and they tried hard. You just let your staff fail in a broken system run by people who have no idea how online interactions should work in the year 2020. I've literally never dealt with a company that has such amazing staff and managers and such awful customer experiences and corporate operations. Seriously get your shit together Uhaul. Your staff don't deserve to deal with your incompetent messes. The only way I will ever use Uhaul again is if I have to and I can talk in person with a staff member the whole time because the customer facing staff is the only competent thing about your miserable company.Hillary F.

The clerks attitude was rude. He seemed as if he was irritated that he had to help us. I understand you have 3 people waiting in line at 7am, but we don't particularly want to be there. We have things we need to do too, but we need help doing it. We don't want to pay money for a â€œliftâ€ or a move. But we need help, so show us a smile, and be helpful. Advice: Finish with the customer you have before proceeding to the next. We were late for an appointment because the clerk said he had to go help the next customer before helping us load our vehicle onto our dolly. I was super disappointed.
