We dropped off the truck at this location during the gas shortage in Dallas and we unable to obtain any gas at all that day. An associate there said he understood and would cut us a deal. I was charged $50 more dollars later, $20 for gas (which I have no problem with) but a $30 convenience fee. That does not seem like a deal to me. We couldn't get in contact with this uhaul location all day, their phones were set to forward. We filed a complaint through uhaul and were told we would hear from a manager in three business days. It's been almost two weeks with no response. I'm not exactly pleased with this whole experience.

The truck needed to be cleaned on the outside. The truck only had a little more than a half of tank of gas. It should come full of fuel. Customers are working with deadlines and a truck not full of fuel makes meeting moving deadlines difficult.

Some confusion on my pick up time as I was traveling for business that day. I called several times with updates including day-of but when picking up, the reservation was canceled anyway while we were doing the paperwork.. That part seemed uncoordinated.

The manager named Ashley Perry did the inspection on the truck that I rented and said that they do not count the rock-chips on the truck (there were hundreds) and she didn't mark them on the hood or the windshield on the inspection report. She asked me to call if her if there is a problem at all. Well there was a huge problem and I have called her many times and I have not gotten a hold of her and nobody has called me back form that location. When I turned in the truck in Colorado Springs, the person checking me in, claimed that I had created new rock-chips in the windshield (x3) but we had not seen or heard one rock hit the truck while we had it. He claimed that I now owe $425.50 to replace the entire windshield for the new tiny rock-chips...I only saw 2 and not 3. I sent the photos of the rock-chips to my insurance and they said they should cost no more than about $20 to fix. Again, we did not cause the rock-chips. Ashley Perry needs to know that rock-chips apparently DO in fact matter and get counted as damage. My insurance will not pay or the $425.50 to replace the windshield for 2 hardly noticeable rock-chips and now that will go on my credit report as an unpaid item, because I can't afford it and did not cause this "damage". The insurance on the truck should take care of a certain amount of rock-chips on the truck per year for free.

Walk me to the Uhaul that has been reserved for me. They pulled it up to the door but no one said whether it was okay to leave or if we needed to wait for approval first. Also, make it more known how much gas we need to fill up to avoid the fuel charge.

Everything but check in was great but I had to wait over 10-15 minutes for someone to take my reservation and provide the trailer. There was one person inside taking orders. Everyone else was outside and there were 3 of us waiting for the one attendant to finish with the order in front of us. Not a very efficient way to take care of customers.

I was very impressed that the location where I originally booked the vehicle checked around and found another nearby location that had the vehicle I needed as they had just leased the last one. So, it was not just sharing a problem, they found a solution. That meant a great deal to me.

The location seemed to be understaffed when I picked up the truck and when I returned it. They were professional and courteous but they were too busy. The wait when I picked up was too long. Other than that, everything was as I expected.

Low pressure tire light was on all the time. Agent mentioned they had just adjusted it, that sensor would turn off, but it did not happen and light remained on all the time. We had no problem with the tires...but just the light never turned off.

There was a lot of confusion on billing but eventually got it right. The location where we picked up the box and I went to try to reconcile the billing, was very unfriendly and unhelpful. That being said, the location where the box originated from was extremely helpful, especially Kelly! The women drivers at pick up and drop off were outstanding! Bottom line, the women were much more helpful than any of the man we encountered.

Be a little more lenient on the gas gauge readings. The contract said there was 15/16 of a tank and I drove the truck 16 miles and ended up needing to put 3 gallons of gas to bring it to the same level. I am thinking the starting level was incorrect but it was my fault to not check it.

Picked up the truck Saturday at 3PM couldn't drive it or use it as it was having issues got home had bunch of friends helping me move for Saturday had someone come to take a look took about one hour to get to my house then worked on it for 3-4 hours pretty much night already my buddies had to leave for the day then called they extended my truck rental to Monday 7PM I don't see how that works as everyone works till 4-5 so Monday was a useless day I mean I like uhaul but I just wish you guys checked your trucks before letting them I'm not happy person that I dropped off to the location was extremely rude

The return instructions noted that a truck returned overnight may require a padlock to secure rented blankets, dolly, etc. in the truck rear. I was not supplied with a padlock and so I worried that I would be charged a fee for not securing the equipment. The drop off lot had cameras but I was unsure of what was expected of me.

Everything went smoothly at this location. However, soon after departure, the uhaul truck blew two tires on the drivers side, with no debris on the road and cars ahead driving just fine. I think the tires should have been inspected better.

Our truck had two warning lights on the dashboard. One for tire pressure; the other I never was able to decipher. The tire pressure light indicated the right rear tire was low. I checked air pressure; it was OK, so I proceeded with my trip without incident, but it was a little disconcerting, especially since the message obscured the odometer. Trucks shouldn't be sent on the road without clearing these warning indicators.

Rented a 12-foot trailer and drove it cross-country. It rained for several hours during the drive, and the trailer leaked, causing my mattress and other items to get wet and destroying a couple of priceless belongings. The rest of the experience was fine, but having wet stuff really soured the whole experience.

When I walked in, the customer service agents were eating popsicles. I was not offered one. But on top of that, they shouldn't be eating while doing their job at the desk. I was not happy with the level of service I received either. The customer service agent just seemed out of it, just seemed, bored with the whole thing. I don't like being treated like that. At the same time, I had a couple of other questions that appeared to annoy the customer service agent. I'm sorry I had questions. He couldn't answer me appropriately about the insurance that I had purchased for my trip, and several other items about the trailer. At the same time, I did not like the fact that I could not lock the trailer to my truck.

I had such a hard time the day of getting my Uhaul. Miguel Romero, from store number 733027, went above and beyond to give the best customer service I have ever received from anywhere to date. He was patient, understanding, helpful, and even went above by letting me know I had a nail in my tire. Now, he could have just looked at it, ignored it, and installed my trailer hitch, without telling me. Instead, he not only showed me, but he also helped me switch to my normal sized spare tire. Maybe this doesn't seem like much to someone else, but as a mother of 3 small children, who was moving from Texas to Arizona, there were no amount of thank I could give him to compensate how thankful I truly was. If Uhaul does not know how much of a valuable employee they have, I think now is the time to recognize him. I will forever recommend this location or any location that he is employeed at, to any friends or family on future references. Overall I find Uhaul box is the most efficient price and quality wise, and secure way to ship goods across the country as I did. Storage time is included with shipment, up to a month total. On my request, before I was ready to empty it, I had an access to the box twice - a 48 hr reservation is needed for that to arrange. The only stumbling I had that the storage manager charged my CC with another month fee 48 hrs before my initial storage term expired. I have to give him a credit though for that the next day after I emailed him about that, he responded that the charge will be refunded. No apology was offered though. But that's can be attributed to an individual's manners not Uhaul policy as a whole. Would advise to confirm the last day of "included" storage as they charge for the next month right after midnight.

Train your call center better. I just had my second dealing with uhaul hitches. On both occasions I've been given wrong information. Either the rep didn't know, didn't care or just flat lied to me. In both instances the price changed or a different hitch was installed. This happened even after my showing the Rep my confirmation email. I'll not be returning to uhaul in the future. Only comment. This rental was for a charitable group. I had the tax ID number when I rented the vehicle but was told that I needed a special rental tax exempt number. I'd like to understand what that is and why an IRA Tax Exempt Status Letter is not sufficient to eliminate the rental or other taxes that were applied to this transaction.

The whole issue started on this end. Because I have a Salome, AZ mailing address, the employee noted that the equipment would be returned to the Salome, AZ location, even after being told it would be returned to the Parker, AZ location...twice!

You can start by not ripping off customers. I was charged extra due to an error in the system based on the rerouting involved on U-Haul's behalf. Ricardo (employee) was incredibly rude and patronizing during my time in the store. He had no interest in trying to resolve the matter at all. He was not professional or courteous. The mileage calculated for the trip was incorrect due to the pick-up and drop-off locations being changed at the last minute by U-Haul. Therefore, the mileage was over and never re-evaluated systematically or manually. It was a common sense problem that Ricardo refused to acknowledge and claimed I signed a contract that absolutely did not have my signature. The initials on the contract belonged to the original employee who gave me the keys. I will be contacting my bank as this was a fraudulent signature. I asked to speak to a manager and he simply gave me a business card. This is the second time I have had an awful experience (last year U-Haul could not track are belongings via pods and said they were lost, albeit the pods were in the shipping yard the entire time) due to the lack of expertise and incompetence that most U-Haul employees seem to possess. I am not impressed with this company whatsoever. They have the lowest rates for a reason and so that they can administer bogus charges afterwards. This will be the last time I will ever use U-Haul.

The equipment was clean, however the truck was old (over 100,000 miles) and the ignition lock (depress break pedal) got stuck a couple times. I got through it but another person not as familiar with this system might have placed a service call. Not a big issue for me, but more of an FYI for U Haul.

I was originally supposed to pick up my Uhaul from a location in Plano at Central and Midpark, but I received a call 5 minutes before my scheduled pick up time that my truck was not available. I was told that I would receive a $50 reservation guarantee from a gentleman at that location. 20 minutes later, I was told I had to go to a different location to pick up my truck. This set me behind by at least an hour. When I returned the truck the following day, the general manager at the other store had no knowledge of my $50 reservation guarantee. I need to be credited my $50.

I have rented trailers from you in the past and including this time, you switched me to a location 15 miles away because you did not have the trailer at the first location i reserved. You have to realize this is a huge problem and inconvenience and does not solidify your name with me! I suggest you not allow others to extend their trailer or have more on hand!
