My 3rd cargo van rental in the past two months. Wouldn't change a thing. Always a pleasure from start to finish with U-Haul!
Fast, easy, clean, and very cheap. The truck was a trust worthy Ford boxtruck, that was great on gas, comfortable, and eazy to drive. Everything went really smooth nothing got broken and there was pleanty of space. This was absolutly the cheapest option. The place was very eazy to get to, and they have a huge parking lot. The uhaul was all warmed up outside waiting for me when I paid for for rsvp. Awesome truck! Thank you!
I rented my vehicle on a Friday after 4 PM. The manager was EXTREMELY, polite, EXTREMELY, courteous, EXTREMELY helpful. I never imagined that renting a truck experience would be so fantastic, so memorable. This staff and Uhaul are light years ahead in their customer service!!!
The customer service has been excellent up to this point, in my experience. Each time I spoke to someone on the phone they were helpful and courteous. My requests, sharing added info to my reservation were always reflected. The driver texted and called me the morning of delivery and he was early delivering the box which allowed me to complete my part of the job early. The driver also called me upon retrieval of the box the following day. I look forward to completing my comments upon the arrival of my box in 18 days. Regards, Dawn Enders
My truck could use a wheel alignment and balancing,the arm rest on the drivers seat was broken,window knob was broken. Overall all it served my purpose but the truck needs better maintenance and upkeep.
The entire “promotional†system is a complete scam. You pay more money than using the vehicle for less than anticipated. I will make sure and advise everyone that I know to never rent from uhaul.
It took about 2 hours to pick up the truck, mean while we were scheduled to pick it up at 10am, we were there on time, as soon as we tried picking up the truck by mobile reservation, we were advised by uhaul to contact customer service which lead to a 2hour conversation trying to help us out, back and forth having technical issues. Ughhh
This is my third truck rental in two months. The first two trucks for excellent. The slash truck was terrible. Parking brake light and warning buzzer stayed on all the time. Steering wandered and squeaking in the steering mechanism. Door was difficult opening and closing. Cargo lamp in truck did not work. Drivers door lock did not work and the door did not close properly. Heater blower knob loose and spins around.

The associate I believe his name is ty was very helpful and very professional. Especially so early in the morning. Even on the return we're very helpful.
I rented a 12x6 trailer to load move some atvs there was screws all over the floor of trailer one atv got two screws in two separate tires the cost to repair the tires was $260 that I will be submitting a bill to uhaul if I further action is needed i will contact a lawer. The screws where galvanized so it was hard to see in the bed of trailer I feel like this is something uhaul should be responsible for since the trailer was rented to me without being cleaned and checked
We got a flat on the trailer and waited 2 hours for roadside assistance finally he came with the wrong tire so we waited another 2 hours. I feel a total refund is due and a discount on future rentals. Uhaul made a 5 hour trip into 9 plus hours. Not even to bring water for us
It was difficult to reach anyone by phone at the U-Haul facility. However, the forklift driver was really great and was able to pick up our U-Box on the same day after dropping it off.

Van was a little dirty but overall good
Your customer service after answering the call after 15 min of waiting, they take your reservation number, then put you on hold and disconnect and never call you back. Happened more than two times. After confirmation with the site for my reservation, they decided to change the truck size without even a call—just an email.

I rented a car tow dolly from this site 3 days before pickup which they said they have. When I went to pick it up the tow dolly it had a flat. So I had to get another rental from another location not in staten island and it cost me 40$ more to return it to a different location. My problem was why didn't they check the tow dolly before I went to pick it up and fix it or let me know so I could arrange to get another one before my pickup date

U-haul is engaged in an unlawful bait and switch operation. I arranged for DOOR-to-DOOR delivery of my Ubox. I was quoted a total price with delivery dates. AFTER my Ubox was picked up, I was sent a purported "contract" which had no relationship to anything discussed or agreed (or anything that happened after for that matter!). The "contract" also informed that my Ubox would be arriving to its destination several weeks after the delivery date first quoted. Once my Ubox reached California however, I was informed that I needed to pay an additional delivery fee or Uhauk wouldn't deliver my Ubox to my home and would begin charging me for storage. I even received three storage bills, which claimed that I had a storage unit somewhere in Queens--which I do not! The additional delivery fee was NEVER disclosed to me or discussed! The delivery should have been included in the original price quoted to me--which was 100% for DOOR-to-DOOR service delivery of the Ubox. I thought it was a mistake on the part of Uhaul, but then I found out that Uhaul did the exact same thing to a friend of mine. Bait and switch is illegal. The additional delivery fee added to the cost AFTER my belongings were already in Uhaul's possession reeks of extortion! Lula at the Vallejo Uhaul is absolutely to be commended for excellent service, however, I would never recommend Ubox to anyone again. I am considering filing a class action lawsuit against Uhaul for these deceptive business practices. Uhaul lied to me about the price in order to make your services appear competitive. Shame on Uhaul. You need to be up-front with customers.

Better communication when dropping off container
We requested a pickup truck. It was not available when we arrived due to the previous renter not returning it on time. Then we were given a van with a non functioning AC. After about half a hour to 45 minutes, we were able to receive a second van. The second van was usable but someone before us had left some food in it. Also its maintenance alarm for oil change kept showing up.
Extremely unhappy with uhual corporate - they did not contact me to confirm pick up location and i was foreced to drive an hour to staten island for this truck. the location itself was great, but i will be calling about reimbursement for the $75 Lyft ride to staten island from brooklyn. dealing with uhaul corporate was a nightmare this trip.
Employee was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and very professional. He was a pleasure to deal with and because of my experience in dealing with him i would recommend anyone to this location.
The reservation was poorly managed sending people to other locations the night before despite paying premium to pick up in the Brooklyn location.
All customer service reps were very kind and helpful, special thanks to person who helped us Dwayne a gentleman and knowledgeable with equipment.

James over at your location is a superstar and was amazing to deal with and in constant communication to make sure my U box was delivered and picked up and dropped off at the correct locations and also very helpful with renting the truck and suggesting extra things I needed for the moving process! I will recommend this location!
the uhaul recommended a right number of containers but the actual movers were not able to bring more than one it confused the payment and i had to throw away my couch, mattress and a couple of other furniture items and i had to buy new ones which was quite expensive
I ordered a pick up truck for pick up by 8am on a Saturday; I was given a box truck and didn't drive out of the parking lot till 8:45am. It was not an easy process. I called the 800 number 4 times and was hung up on 3 times. I would never be a repeat customer
Be cautious of the items in the box and the way you handle them. I did not have a lot of items that would've stuffed my box. So if you don't handle it with care things get flipped over such as my stuff did. It looked like some one flipped my box upside down
