Truck rented needs service, pulls to the left when applying brakes. Customer service when renting was excellent, a nice young lady. I dropped off after hours. While I did not refuel, the gauge when I returned was on the mark between 1/2 tank and 5/8 a tank. I took a photo of it along with mileage. Was charged 8 gallons of fuel which should have been 4 or maybe 6 at the most. Thanks, Darrell McMaster

The uHaul Truck was very old and was a gas guzzler. It had already done 140K miles when we go it. It did not have cruise control. It was a rough drive and a gas guzzler. Would expect Uhaul to provide better vehicles for long distance bookings

When I rent a trailer, I expect the trailer to be here not across town. Very sorry way to run a business. I am highly displease with the u-haul located in Garland, Texas. I traveled 3 hours to this location. I reserved a trailer in one week advance.

When I reserved the trailer online a week before time to pick it up I reserved it for 24 hours. When we went to pick it up the guy at they counter told us if we did not have it returned by 7 am instead of the 10 am we could not rent the trailer. When a reservation is made I expect to get what I requested and if you are unable to accommodate the request I should have received a phone call letting me know and I could have made the changes at that time instead of having to figure things out last min.

On one of the trucks I had the gears we in different orders, 3 for drive, etc. You had to turn the key just right in order for the beeping sound to go off when you took the key out.

He had to redo the contract multiple times, making me have to run my card multiple times. We received the vehicle on almost EMPTY!! We filled it all the way up & then filled it to 3/8ths. Once we returned it we were told we didn't fill it up enough & we still had to pay $20 despite putting $40 in the truck. I'm very displeased with the whole experience & will not be back.

I had to point out a broken door before renting my last vehicle, but for the most part this facility is well maintained and super friendly. I think they missed the broken door from it being turned in after dark and being understaffed. They are always polite and helpful

I'm not sure I will ever use Uhaul again. My experience at the store was great, so don't blame them for losing me as a customer. You guy's are idiots. I used my debit card to pay for the rental, 9/2/2017 and as of today, my freaking money is still floating around some where because of your fucking greed. I didn't use credit you jerks. I did debit, meaning you got your fucking money right then. But you have the fucking nerve to take over 5 fucking days to return my hard earned cash. So fuck off, I will use hertz from now on. I have used the Uhaul location a few blocks from me before, it is extremely convenient, unfortunately this time I had to drive to a location much, much farther away. Delivery service, or transferring trailer to my location would have been an enormous help.

I'm not happy that my card was charged after I was told it wouldn't be charged till Friday. They put my bank account -95 plus I got charged the $30 overdraft charged. So I'm not happy about this or losing mo yes.

The only negative is that the location is so successful, and has a large, varied inventory to meet customers' needs, it ends up being very crowded and hard to maneuver sometimes. But I'd rather have that then to have to drive 25 miles to a rural area with 20 acres and lots of room!

I needed to postpone my move until a week later. The place close at hand did not have the vehicle I needed and where one was available was a good bit farther in the wrong direction to my move. No problem, they gave me adequate additional free mileage and the gas differential was acceptable.

Parking was nonexistent, and driving in between trucks was treacherous. Strap ratchets were rusted and siezed. Protective guard in front of the hitch locking knob safety lever was bent, jamming the safety lever. Knob loosened itself halfway through my trip. Lighting connector was extremely loose and became disconnected during towing, leaving me with no lights. Girl who checked equipment back in couldn't loosen the hitch knob, I had to do it for her. She also could have been a little more decently dressed. Professionalism helps. If I had to try to find something positive about the experience, I guess the guy who checked me out was very nice.

the bill was inaccurate, charged me for 2 days rather than one, was promised a discount since the original store didn't have the trailer, I arrived and they had no clue I was offered a discount nor did they add one. It least someone did follow up and corrected the amount of days on the rental

I had made sure to pay ahead of time and reserve my car to assure a quick turn around when I arrived for my truck due to limited moving time, however, when I came to get it I ended up waiting about 17 minutes for my car to be "found". Other than this it was a good experience and I would use Uhaul again, just not this location.

Excellent customer service from everyone at this location from the reservation placed over the phone to the check in, rental pickup, return and final billing statement. I highly recommend this location and will use them the next time I need to rent a truck.

Equipment was not well maintained; the yard man had to look at 3 trailers before finding one that didn't need significant maintenance; and even that one needed minor maintenance which took about 15 minutes. This store was poorly staffed; the man helping us had come from another location to help out and didn't know the inventory of this store or how to fix the trailers. They had no mechanic on duty. I would not go back. Also no mention was made of any way to lock the trailer to the car. Our trailer was detached and stolen while parked overnight in a reputable national hotel. Beware, your personal property is not insured by UHaul.

One of the staffs here was extremely rude. I had a hard time in finding a customer parking and I ask him for the spot. But he just repeatedly kept yelling "over there" and starred at me like I was stupid. In the end, I found the sign for the customer parking was hidden by another sign. If I was the manager I would never hire a guy like this who has zero work IQ and terrible customer service.

Spent 3 hours after loading the truck at the location because the overhead door wires were off the spool and they do no repairs. You are at their location waiting for roadside assistance. This is rediculous a repair area that is not authorized to do a repair. No more U-Haul for us.

If you tell me I'm getting the truck for 24 hours when I reserve it, when I pick it up don't tell me I need to have it back in 12 because "other people are waiting on it." My restarting clearly stated I needed it for 24 hours.

I used the tow dolly for less then 14 hours was charged 4 days. The lights stopped working after 3 hours it didn't even probably fit my vehicle that I was towing. I will not recommend uhaul to anyone for their moving needs

I returned my trailer, to the back where I was requested to return it, and unfortunately it was not noticed until the following day. I ended up being charged for an extra day, and they said they would reverse it, so if that happens all is good. Just just one of those things, that I'm sure very rarely happens.. Overall very excellent experience! Tell them to keep up the good work!

I've never rented a vehicle from U-Haul before, so it would have been nice if the associate told me an additional day's charges would be tacked on if I didn't return the van in time. When he asked me what time I'd be returning the van, I said I'd TRY to get it back by 7:00. Since I said I'd TRY, obviously I didn't realize I'd be charged for another full day if I didn't make it. That was his cue to tell me that I should do a longer rental period, even a full 24 hours, to avoid additional charges. Yes, I know it's in the paperwork, but who looks at that when they're in a hurry? I had movers for my furniture, and they were 2 1/2 hours late showing up, so that threw my whole schedule off because I wasn't able to use the U-Haul van to transport items for nearly 6 hours while I was waiting for them to arrive and load and unload. Then, when I called to ask about the additional charges, the female associate on the phone gave me MAJOR attitude! I was just calling to ask for clarification, but she was extremely rude and actually talked down to me. So, to improve, your associates should stress that the vehicle should be returned by the stated time or the customer will be charged for a whole additional day when they could just schedule for 24 hours at no additional charge. Also, that female employee should be advised on proper customer service principles.

My only complaint was that I reserved a truck in Plano which was 8 miles from my house 2 weeks before my rental and the day before my rental, U-haul called and said that my truck was not available at that location but was available in Richardson which was an additional 8 miles from my house. So when you reserve a truck, they will rent you the truck but it may be from a different location than you expected.

I spoke to Diane at the front desk she offered me a measly apology and told me she can take off my dolly but I would have to drive back and pick it up, said she would still charge me mileage. She was very unhelpful and imsensative to the fact that I had to drive back and get the dolly!! The gentleman who rented the uhual to me was very nice and helpful.

I rented a pickup, had it less than an hour, and only drove it 6.0 miles and yet I was charged an extra $7.50 for fuel. Seriously? The truck is rated at 19-mpg and I drove it 6-miles and I'm charged $7.50 for fuel consumption. I will have to be really desperate before I rent from U-Haul again, or at least this location. $34 to use for less than an hour and drive only $6 miles? No, I won't be back or recommend to others.

I was offered a 1st month free storage with my rental. I needed the storage, and could use the free month, so I reserved a spot at my destination Uhaul. My truckful of furniture and I were eventually redirected to the Storage Depot where my reservation ended up being, and "Um, No, Sir, we don't honor that promotion here." I was told that Storage Depot never has offered the 1st month free and that they get a number of customers every week showing up expecting the same deal. When I called Uhaul Richardson back, they reserved me a unit back at the destination uhaul, which I was completely denied upon arrival (3 minutes later) because those units were already reserved out to TOO MANY other customers. Uhaul Richardson only has so much control over what is in the system, I know, but they still get the gig for linking me up with an affiliate company that doesn't honor their corporate promotions, and for failing to verify availability for my new reservation before sending me to be turned away at another location. Additionally, it would have been helpful if the clerk had mentioned the dollys weren't in the trucks.

I was in contact with the location 3 different time prior to me trying to pick up a 17 ft. Truck. I came in to the location to get boxes the day before I was due to pick up the truck. It was not mentioned they did not have a 17 ft. Truck available. I then called the following morning because I was running 20 minutes behind. The Rep asked what size of truck I needed and said ok great we have you down for a 17 ft truck. I arrive to the location and I quote " Awe man, I've been meaning to call you all week, I don't have a truck for you." They had multiple opportunities to let me know there was not a truck available and not one person mentioned it. I then was sent to another location where I was told They didn't have a 17 ft truck available either. You guys market the sizes of the trucks based on number of rooms that need to be moved and what size of truck would best fit your move. With the 15 foot truck I was forced to take an extra trip which ended adding 37 miles to my move on top of the miles having to go to a further location for pick up and drop off. The $50 given back will not cover those miles. Moving forward I will not use uhaul. Starting a move this way was very frustrating and lengthy. I will say up until this point I used uhaul for 3 different moves and it went smoothly. This time was such an unorganized mess. I do have one question, every location I see has trucks lined up for days, yet you don't have 17or 20 ft trucks available? They all have banners in the windshield so I'm assuming those are for marketing purposes only? Which makes no sense. Uhaul has been around since who knows when. Your brand sales itself. You honk of move, you think uhaul. How about putting those trucks into business to avoid these kind of disasters.

The truck had about 16,000 miles on it. The two front tires were bald on the outside edges (no tread). The truck pulled badly to the right. The is a VERY SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE! The truck should never have been allowed to be rented in this condition. I did not notice the tire problem until I had reached my destination. I see this as gross negligence on the part of U-Haul regarding inspection and maintenance.

I first rented a trailer and the service was excellent I had to come back to get some furniture dollies and the service was terrible the agent that was assisting me was extremely slow I was trying to beat the thunderstorms I expressed to him the importance of him expediting the process it took him over 30 minutes and he still had not completed the transaction the lady next to him asked him several times what was the problem and I said he needs more training and he replied he could work faster if I would stop acting like an "a--hole!" I said what did you just say? He repeated the statement again. Then the lady next to him said sir you need to leave. I left without the dollies in a thunderstorm with expensive items getting ruined. I was walking to my truck and saw a gentleman in a Uhaul shirt and explained what had happened and how shocked I was about how I was treated! He explained he was the owner and there was no excuse for that kind of behavior and processed my order and I went on my way!

I rented a 26' truck and an auto transport. The staff always years the lights of the vehicle(s) before you leave. I was rold they were good, but when I arrived home with the units I noticed a frayed wire. The running lights on the trailer didnt work. I had to return ro the store to have a section on trailer wiring replaced. It was a quick fix but it should have been caught before I left the store.

Today I had an argument with Mr Shawn Baars who claimed to be the manager. I made my reservation on our corporate account and stopped by the location to pick up my truck. I was on my cell phone when I gave my driver license to Mr Baars and I told him that I have a reservation. He ignored my request and told me that he will begin after I finish my phone call. I informed him that was an important phone call and it is in no way a conflict with what he supposed to be doing. He insisted on ignoring my request until I hung up my phone. I was upset with his attitude because I've done business with this location multiple times and never experienced something like this. He insisted that he needed my full attention in order to start the service even though he himself was chewing on his sandwich. I asked that someone else to serve me and he let another employee take care of my business. After coming back to drop the equipment Mr Baars was still there and I asked that I would not complain if he apologized for what he did but he chose not to. So I hope you can bring his attention to improve his customer service and to deal with your corporate clients in a better way.

This is very unfortunate that I have to leave the review on this location because it wasn't their fault my experience was so bad, but I have to express how bad of an experience I had and this is the only avenue available. I havehHad one of the worst experiences with uhaul at the 2716 K Ave b, Plano, TX location. I scheduled everything online to pick up a truck after hours at the location because I had to drive in from an hour away. I get there and start my pick up process and no one at the location had assigned a truck to my order, so I couldn't pick up the truck. The online process instead gave me a number of the area manager, who I called twice and left a voicemail with and still to this day haven't received a call back from. The only saving grace for me was that there was a uhaul open till 7 that I called who routed me to their reservation people who scheduled another truck from a different location 15 minutes away for me to get. So not only did I have to drive an hour to not get a truck that I scheduled, I also had to be ignored by an area manager and rerouted another 25 minutes (6 pm traffic on 75) out of my way to get a truck. Terrible experience because someone at this store just didn't do their job.

First I was given a truck with a half a tank of gas and was expected to return it with 3/4 of a tank of gas to go 63 miles. I spent more money returning it to thi location than if I'd of just returned it to the location where I moved to. When I told the associate about it he said "ok, you drove over the allotted miles and it's going to cost you an extra $4.40". He didn't even address the fact that I got the truck in substandard fuel capacity and try to help rectify the problem.

The store people did a great job. The only issue I had was with the default mileage being provided. I had requested a starting and ending location and the default allowed mileage was well under what it took just to drive from the pick up location to the drop off location. They added miles at the store so it wasn't a problem but pay attention to this if you are doing a one-way rental.

I reserve the truck for whole day which is till 5 pm. When pick up, I have no idea why the sub manager changed the return time to 3 pm. When i return, all they said (the manager lady and they cashier) is i m late without explain anything. She also said that I were sign the lease document. The sign is electronic sign which don't provide the time. Even the sub manager told me to return at 5 pm. We argued for 30 minutes till ask me for the reserve document which showed the expected return is 5 pm. $19 is nothing but the way they talked and the attitude make me want to pull out all of my teeth to argue. Nasty and make me look cheap at the same time. Even give me a free rental, there is no way on earth to go back to see these kind of people.

Was not to happy about that but as I live in for worth I just had to re route. I will say that Robert was very friendly and help full. Everything was fine - truck was a bit beat up with over 100,000 miles but did the job for a local move. Would not want for a cross-country move. Something that was a problem - fuel out was 1/4 tank and got low during the move so I had to stop twice for fuel to make sure I had enough for my usage and also to bring it back at 1/4. I think should be at least 1/2 before you let it go off the lot. But everyone super nice at this store and all went well. Thanks.

I put gas in the truck and the dial would not move. Then, I went outside and put more gas. Then, I realized that I was looking at the temperature dial and I had filled the tank because I put gas twice where I just needed to fill until 5/8. When I explained to the clerk and asked if she could refund at least the smallest amount( about 12 dollars), she refused.

Not the clerks fault but the initial equipment checkout process is slower than what it should be with the 2016 technology that is available. I realize you guys have a lot of equipment to protect but it really should not take 15 to 20 minutes to get in and out with your rental. I rent every year in December so I have noticed the pattern. I got overcharged, the staff doesn't know how to read the odometer whatsoever or they get compensated for extra miles that customers drive. I drove 18 miles but got charged for 42. Luckily I didn't leave the premises and after I reviewed the receipt I had to go and get everything straightened out. The staff wouldn't even go and recheck odometer until I pulled my recipes for gas that I paid for. For $5 worth of gas that I spent I couldn't drive 42 miles. After that the staff member went and checked the odometer I guess and was able to refund me. Well I have to wait few days for a credit in my account. Very unhappy!

Have the other locations be as awesome as this one. The person hooking the trailer up when I picked it up double checked everything. Even had to run inside to check the kind of trailer my car/hitch can tow (it's unusual, and I appreciated the concern). When I went to drop it off, the person tidying up the outside immediately told me where to be, and ran over to unhook the trailer so I could be on my way.

An advertised $19.95 per day Econoline van with collision damage waiver ($10) kept 5 hours and driven 30 miles was $56.82 not including the $12 gas I put in...

Lucky Simmons is excellent as the store manager. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who is moving from Dallas.
