We had to drive an extra 2 hours to pick up our truck. Please let people know that their desired pick up location is not an option. The people at the St. Cloud location were terrific, however. The truck was very clean, but we were offended because of the heavy cigarette smell.

Staff was taking a test with 3 workers but only one staff was required for the online training. I sat in front of then for 4 minutes then moved to another computer and waited for staff to help for another 8 minutes. after the the team failed the test fir a second time they decided to acknowledge me. The gentleman didn't do so much in me wanting to return my business. the woman with fake eyebrows and piercing was nice

Combination of issues. Uhaul St cloud did not have any pads in the truck, my person who was picking up the truck, was told they were in the truck. They charged us for the pads. I had ordered a $5.00 pack of pads on line. Other problem, I ordered the truck online, listed another person as main driver, and me as secondary driver. I filled out the form completely. Got a confirmation number and email. Put my credit card to be charged. My driver gets there, and no record exists on their end. He has to put his card to pay for it. He was told only he could drive it, so that further complicated matters. This whole thing threw or timing for day off. I tried to call uhaul traffic department, and as usual for them, was on hold for twenty minutes or more. Every time I called uhaul, I was put on hold for it excessive amounts of time when I tried getting it done by phone. Please contact me via email or phone. Thus was Saturday the 29th. Of June.

I had ordered moving items along with my trailer reservation. Neither the cashier or I remembered them, so I had to make another trip to pick them up, which was inconvenient. Other than that my experience was great!

I rented a 26 foot truck, we had it loaded the night before and drove it to our new house in the morning for final walkthrough. We were told we could leave at the residence while we did closing. In which we did and we locked the doors and took the keys with us. When we got back we unloaded the uhaul and went to unlock it so we could move it to back up our second uhaul and other vehicles. The key would not unlock the cab of the uhaul. After having 6 people try to jiggle and wiggle the key no luck. Called the store I reserved it from and they just said call the road side assistant. Which I did, and it took over 4 hours to get someone out. During in which time we kept trying to get the key to work. No luck and we decided to unload the other uhaul from the road so we could go get more stuff from the storage unit. Got a call while out saying that the company they got told called me saying there was an accident and it would be delayed more, which they didnt and isnt on uhaul. Long story short the locking was defective even though the tech that came out was able to get the key to work We had a lot of lost time with the 26 foot truck taking up the whole drive way and just annoying that the key wouldn't work for the lock

The cab of the truck was filthy. I had to clean the cup holders of sun flower seeds. Wiped down the interior. I spent 18 hours in the cab.

I just returned a trailer that I rented yesterday. I want to go on record as saying that I am appalled by the deceptive and high-pressure tactics that your website employs when conducting a rental transaction. We all understand that you need to verify information, but the high pressure “trick-screw” tactics for purchasing insurance and everything else under the sun - things that you mislead us on is unethical and impractical. While not being a lawyer, I must also question the legality of those high pressure tactics as well. Many years ago I worked at a car dealership and I was always very cautious with anything that a salesperson said- especially a used-car salesperson. But your website has them all beat. The only thing missing is sunglasses. The staff did a great job, but your website has given me a very sour taste with your business. Overall a good experience and the guy at the location was good. The Trailer we rented was older and looked a little beat up. We had some hard rain during our drive with the trailer and we noticed the roof leaked in several spots just a little. The mattress we were hauling got wet in 4 spots from the roof leaking.

The light for the license plate was not working and one of the marker lights fell out while towing. A placard on the fender for the tires indicated 65 PSI, when I checked the pressure, the tires were inflated to 56 PSI so I had to service them myself.

I'm sure it isn't the location, it is U-Haul's decision, but I think luring people in by the promise of the truck costing only $30 a day, and then gouging them on the mileage is very poor business practice. I can assure you, I will not use U-Haul again, but rather find another say to move. We were expecting charges less than $100, and instead wound up paying almost $200 because of the $1.18 per mile charge. And then, we still had to pay to put gas in to bring it to a 3/4 tank. I am very disappointed.

We were charged for extra miles, when the reserve was suppose to be transferred to st cloud, knowing we had to go to Alexandria then to little fallsl. Instead, alexandria called, said they had no truck, but would get one, but had no furnature dolly at all.. so, we talked to st cloud and got one there instead. Dont feel we should of been charged the extra 60+ dollars for milage over.

Even though we checked out online, we had to wait over 20 minutes to receive the trailer. There was only one person at the counter - admittedly dealing with a difficult customer - but waited over 15 min for another person to even show up to help others in line.

only issue was that truck should have wY to turn off airbag for front passenger if a child is riding in that position,if not possible to have child ride safely in the truck,then should be told that ahead of time...otherwise everything went great with the rental...cept that uhaul could not give us a pickup time until 2 days before,hard to plan ahead with lining up the people for moving day...

It was a little backed up when I first got the truck, but I didn't have to wait too long. There were for trucks ahead of me when I brought the vehicle back, but somehow they managed to check me back in quickly and efficiently. The truck was clean and only had 10,000 miles on it. That was nice. There was a faint stick of cigarette smoke. Not that strong, but still unpleasant.

We did not receive the truck we requested. They upgraded the truck for us and added extra mileage so we wouldn’t go over. However, they wanted us to return that truck back to this location. We were not planning on returning to the area so they had to change it. We did not receive the blankets we requested and paid for. By time we realized, the location was closed. Called the 800 number. They told us to tell the place that we returned the truck to. We did and they told us we had to call the place that we ordered the truck from for a refund. Not worth my time since we are busy moving. Also, when we called the number to find a location to return the truck to, they were trying to make us go way out of our way to return when there were multiple locations in the city we were in. We finally were able to get a location that was convenient for us without having to use more miles and gas.

Communication was horrible. I usually try to be really generous in my ratings but I had such a stressful experience with Ubox. I had to place 5 different calls within the same 24 hours my box was scheduled to be dropped off at my original location because nobody at the Minnesota regional office had contacted me to schedule a time. Come to find out (via a UBox representative) they had not even assigned it to a driver. Then, a representative at the regional office was very rude as I tried to explain the situation because I wanted to make sure I could be home for its delivery. She first argued that it would not be picked up because the box wasn't "ready" to which I explained of course, because I hadn't yet received the box for them to pick up. She then argued it hadn't been scheduled, found that it actually had, then conceded and gave me a time. Well past that time, i called back (twice) and was finally given the number for the distribution office/dispatch for drivers. Called that office and they were really nice -- apparently hadn't been told there had been a delivery scheduled for my Ubox that day so had I not called multiple times to get through to them, it would have never shown up. Driver was very nice and helpful. Then, as it was in transit, I got random emails that said my date of dropoff at my new location had been changed and pushed back, but in actuality the box did arrive on time. Overall a frustrating and unreliable experience. I was worried for my belongings the entire time. Will not use again.

Work on organization skills. No reason i should be getting calls 8 hours after i return a rental saying it needs to be returned. That was one thing but receiving an email 2 weeks later stating the same thing really shows me the shit show internally that this company is.

I was frustrated by the variability in rental locations when trying to source a trailer. I had tried to rent a trailer in the Eagan, MN area and was quoted prices from $200-743 for a 2 day rental, one way. The night before I had been on your website and had a price similar to what I actually paid from the St. Cloud store.

The young woman who checked me in was amazingly helpful and friendly. Made me glad I rented for U-Haul and will never consider any other rental place. Price was fair and the people we're efficient and professional. Should also mention the 5X8 trailer was easy to tow through heavy rain and high winds.
