My only complaint is that while I was waiting patiently for help, a lady who had an issue of her own making barged in and she was helped before me. It would have been better if the Uhaul staff had politely explained that she needed to wait her turn. I had already waited for some time and had 5 people waiting for me to return. Her issue was caused by her not paying her bill on time. I didn't feel it was right to reward her behavior when others had waited longer.Brenda J.

I had a problem after we loaded the material on the trailer because the lady that did the set up forgot to get the ball tight on the hitch. It came off and almost created an accident plus it damaged my truck. I called her and she said oh my bad ,I forgot. She was training someone else. Don't want to know how the training is going. The most amazing is that she is training someone and not following the basics. Check for your self next time.Francisco G.

Mad and very upset because a customer service rep specifically called me the day before to offer a $99 special on a 26â€ truck when I originally planned for a 20â€ truck... of course I agreed only to get screwed over and get charged extra for a 26â€ truck anyway! Like what the heck?! Why even call?! It was really messed up because it was all through the mobile app. Very upset with this it's been my 4th time using U haul. Went to pick up my truck at 8am via the app, but they had blocked it in with a truck in front of it. I know it was the U-Haul that did it because the truck blocking me had an advertisement sun visor placed in the front window. Had to wait for the office to open at 9a and their first reaction was â€œwe are not openâ€ when I went in. So I started 90 min late my move day.Bruce F.

The time to wait for inspection and to drop the trailer was time consuming. Maybe because of this being a 1 way rental? Anyway, one of the tires were extremely low so we had to wait to have it filled before being able to drop it. I rent often and this process has never taken this much time. I was told I could drop off in another state only to find out I had to bring the trailer back because the attendant told me I could drop it off and they would charge me 200 but she couldn't do it. Then I show up and they try to charge me 1900 . This didn't happen last time and would rather buy my own trailer nowKENNETH ALBERT S.
We had reservations at 9am and the store wasn't opened on time to give us keys. The employee that was there outside who was cleaning the trucks, had no answers and continued to work as if we didn't exist, instead of trying to contact her Manager or someone who could help with the situation at hand. We finally received our truck at 10am from the employee that was already on site cleaning the trucks. Our reservation was never extended to comply with the time we originally were given the truck, so we received a call about returning the truck, just unbelievable! The worst part was that the truck had roaches in the back, that we hoped wouldn't get into our things because at that point we already had the truck, nothing we can do but they need to be fumigated with pest control. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER with uhaul. Very disappointed!Pablo R.

Absolutely unable to reach them by phone to return their calls or for issues that arose. Regional never documented ANY notes when I was forwarded to them so it didn't help at all and the Sanford location kept calling back about the same issues. Corporate was irritable with me when I reached out to them to help given regional had no notes and they wouldn't listen to anything I said I was told. They gave me a lecture that we hadn't changed the phone number out of mine since someone else had the van (I'm sick) but I WASN'T THERE. Also, while regional was all reassuring during phone calls- nothing they said came true: 1) they said we knew we may need more time as I was not there to help with the move and we would just get $19.95/24 hours extra charges up to today (Thursday 5/6) as long as we kept in touch- which we tried to do. We were never able to reach Sanford and, as regional never documented our calls, supposedly, Sanford kept calling and leaving us messages wondering where we were and what our plans were. 2) I also told regional that I was in another state receiving chemotherapy and was not with my friend (the driver) or the van doing the move -her phone number was already also on the contract which was in her name!!! However, when I got forwarded to corporate instead of regional the last time they said that we should've changed my number to only hers on van pick up- please remember I wasn't there and Sanford could have mentioned/done that- and basically that the problem was we hadn't changed it out of mine- and I felt like I was being lectured rather than they were trying to solve the problem. In the end all corporate would do was say not contact me on the paperwork- they wouldn't listen to anything I tried to explain was told to me over several days by regional because NO NOTES were ever made apparently from ANY of the calls! This was particularly frustrating and hard on me given that I had received multiple calls, was only trying to help the situation while being very sick, and my friend/the driver was out of phone range at some points doing the move. Why transfer calls to another center if there are no notes/records to help out communication??? I'm a retired physician and this seems inconceivable to me- granted it's not about patient's lives but it's still customer service and I was beginning to feel like we were being treated like we just disappeared with the van after MULTIPLE attempts to communicate clearly what was happening. 3) if you look back at the original reservation, I initially booked a week because I knew I couldn't be there and my helpful friend needed some flexibility...I was reassured this was fine until day 1...she was driving to Sanford (Friday 4/30) and was delayed by a FATAL accident that shut the Florida Turnpike down into a parking lot. She was unable to call or pull over yet (which someone from your company LECTURED ME SHE SHOULD HAVE DONE) and I had been clear that my phone had hearing assist so I might have to call back rather than be able to answer initial calls. So instead of waiting for a call back, Sanford CANCELED our reservation on Friday 4/30!!! So not being confident there would even be a van there- which had to be requested specifically as not listed initially at that location- she turned around and went all the way home (over two more hours of driving). We rescheduled for pick up later that weekend and were very clear how to deal with another potential delay given there are OFTEN delays on Florida motorways. The reason my phone number was specifically left on the reservation at that point- requested by YOUR COMPANY- was so I could call if another problem arose- given it's not always legal and/or safe for a driver to call!!! This is especially why I'm so annoyed that I later got a lecture/criticized for still having my phone number listed even though hers was CLEARLY also on there. In summary, I've gone to great lengths to show you how un-user friendly your company can be, how some of your employees are condescending to intelligent (and critically ill) people like me just trying to deal with a moving deadline with the kindness of good friends, and that your nice employees like regional who seemed so reassuring and sympathetic actually made things more complicated by NEVER documenting ANY notes/multiple calls I made to them which backfired because I was told it was just â€œhearsayâ€. Finally, to be told/prompted to use the online or automated system is a joke from my point of view because NEITHER worked EVER during this process. Tried initially to â€œcheck inâ€ using the online system but after SEVEN attempts I gave up. At that point, I needed to try to reach a live person because I was nervous about the reservation given we had a van special order and, in the end, it was canceled anyway the first day when she was slightly late which I explained above.SARA L.

This is the second time I've rented a truck from this location and both times my truck was not available for the time I reserved it. Although I made my reservation over a month ago (both) times my truck size was not available because they were overbooked. So they offered me a different size truck with a shorter period of time to use the truck. I think there needs to be a process improvement put into place.TONYA D.

4/29/21- Rude employee name was David. Literally said he didn’t work for uhaul and then went inside and was working with Jazmine on computer. He had the worst attitude and bad representation of uhaul. Next came move in time, but a random unit issue caused a delay beyond usage of the unit and although we were understanding of this issue the down side was that the employees on duty took 40 minutes just to continue telling us they are trying to figure out a solution. How about rent us another unit or call a brother/sister uhual to reserve for us inconvenience, but No! They offered no solutions until I personally called SIMPLY SELF STORAGE in SANFORD FL. Where we worked with a Miss Christina and was able To secure a clean, AC unit with better monthly price (cheaper by 60 bucks a month) and an awesome first month free deal. I have always used uhaul services and due to the lack of concern and resolve from uhaul employees today , uhaul has lost all of our business indefinitely. Even though I give this location 5 stars, it is for Jazmine, her male coworker the day I rented, the young man who guided me where to park when returning the van BUT... The female "customer service" associate named Nikki would bring this rating to a ZERO. Her attitude and behavior was INEXCUSABLE! She was rude, impatient, disrespectful and not at all fit for dealing with customers! I had a very sensitive situation occurring at the time, which was very clearly explained and requested to please be patient on having someone meet with me to take care of the final payment. I received disrespectful treatment and will be informing everyone that I know of her unprofessional behavior if this situation is not resolved. If she was that blatantly rude to me, how many other families and customers has she acted this way towards as well? No one deserves the treatment this woman inflicted. If this woman is still employed by U-Hual, I will never utilize their services again. This is sad because everyone else that I had an encounter with at this location was wonderful!GRETA D.

The first storage rental got messed up because a drink was spilled on a computer. I was assigned a different storage space and the insurance was not done properly. I went back 2 days later to fix the insurance and buy more supplies and the rental assignment had been put back to the original space. Went to move things into the space the next day, and the elevator was blocked by a huge truck and a van that had been turned in and just left. Then went back with another load after 7 PM and the code that I had made up had been changed when the unit was reassigned. We had to call the "on call" to get it-COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS!!!!! The manager is apparently on vacation. I will voice my complaints in person. The staff was always courteous, but that can't make up for such a negative experience.Caroline A. | First Impressions

I had my storage unit in this location (Rinehart rd.) for 3 years. Della runs a tight ship and it shows in the professionalism, cleanliness, efficiency, and how friendly and personable the staff is. This is THE CLEANEST and FRIENDLIEST storage/moving Uhaul location or any storage and moving location that I’ve ever used and experienced. I’ll miss seeing the smiles and talking to the workers as I ran in and out of my unit to get things or store more things over the last 3 years. I just can’t say enough good things about this place.
