The lady who initially took care of setting up my trailer is honestly very professional and one of the best. I have dealt with her in the past and she's very friendly and professional definitely makes you feel welcomed, will definitely be going back for my rental needs. Also equipment worked very well for what we needed it for definitely will recommend this place to anyone who needs a rental.

I never write reviews but this time I will. I was hoping to rent a truck up front in person with one of your representatives. He told me just to make a reservation online with the app. Ok, no big deal, I'm tech savvy so it was no problem and easy to use but I was looking to speed things by doing it personally. Only other problem was there is seal problem with the driver side door. It lets highway travel noise in so you can barely hear passenger talk. Other than that no problems. The truck had 100k+ miles and ran like champ. Thank you, you did help me out a lot. I would definitely recommend to a friend. From Michael

I rented an appliance dolly to move a refrigerator. When I got it home I inspected it to get a feel for how to use it. Upon inspection, I discovered that the hand crank was not working right. The previous renter had substituted a Bobby pin for a cotter pin on the hand crank! I repaired this myself, no big deal, and reported it to U-Haul. On return, they cut my charge in half for my effort. Thank you for that ! The dolly got the job done also.

Teach your employees the rules for storage. I asked for a unit that would hold my trailer and ended up going to a second location because there were no units available. After several attempts at trying to squeeze in a unit that was impossible to navigate, I had to cancel it. Took the rental truck and my trailer back to the first location and someone there told me I couldn't store a trailer in the U-Haul units. I wasted 2 hours of my time. I should have been told this prior to my reserving a unit. I had to tow my fully loaded trailer 25 miles back home and my truck died and had to have both towed. Had I known the no storage rule ahead of time, I wouldn't have had a tow bill. Owners and upper management need to do a better job training their employees!!!!

I like how I was over charged. And told I would not be charged for the moving blankets. I also enjoyed being over charged on my mileage, and something else I enjoyed was how I brought it back on a full tank even though I recieved it on 3/4 of a tank. But hey thanks for the use of your abused equipment that needed service badly and looked like the person that used it before me was blind and driving by brale.

Service at this location was appalling. Had an appointment to move out of my uboxes. Manager had left and was not returning. Uboxes were not accessible. No one called to cancel my appointment. Seriously poor management at this location. I had movers and a truck and trailer with me and drove an hour and a half to get there and was then told the manager Phil was not there, my uboxes were not ready and no one could be contacted.

I reserved a truck for pick-up at 9pm. As I arrived neither the app, the website nor customer service could remove the pick up by hand delivery annotation. I took a cab there and had to take a cab home at a loss of over $25 due to this mistake! I have rented via auto pickup from Uhaul several times with no problem. This was a costly disappointment. I am greatly saddened.

I am very upset that i brought vehicle back on time and the employee failed to check in the vehicle on time then charged me for an additional day I emailed in evidence of the time i left the premises at 3 :47 pm after spending about 15mins sitting in my car returning texts and phone calls. attendant checked in the vehicle at 4:21 pm when i was already in Homewood Illinois for a 4;30 appointment. Unacceptable!!!!

I returned the vehicle to location of pickup in under 2 hours for a total of 19 miles. The drop off was not put in the system. I received several calls the following day stating the vehicle was not returned. Call were even made to my wife's job. The staff at the Shererville IN location was unaware the vehicle was returned the following day. Totally irresponsible! I will not rent there ever again.

The tow dolly I rented had a tail light out when I left the store and the employee didn't let me know. I got pulled over for it and when I looked the tow dolly over again the chains never were connected to the tongue of the dolly properly. They were connected to each other not the tongue of the tow dolly. After dropping the tow dolly of and telling the same employee that attached it to my vehicle, all he had to say was he didn't see the light out and sorry for improper installation and that the police officer didn't know what he was talking about. I will never rent from uhaul again!

They do not answer the phone. I was given the direct number, but they had the phones routed to corporate. I noted there was a problem with my equipment when I arrived home, and was unable to return to Uhaul. I was on hold for 46 minutes, and no one in Schererville ever answered the phone during normal business hours. Young man that help me desperately needs training. First told me my rental was not at the facility, until coworkers corrected him. He took 10 minutes to hook up 3 chains. He could not figure out how to loop the chain through the hitch hole, and hook back to itself. His solution, twist (bind) the chain, until is was not dragging the ground. I fixed this once I got home. He did not review the equipment with me, demonstrate the features, or even ask if I was familiar.

Instruct your employees to get off their collective ass and DO SOMETHING! I had to check in my own reservation online only to be asked THE SAME QUESTIONS I JUST ANSWERED ONLINE! I then had to confirm the condition and gas level of the truck I was renting, all while these two BOZOS were sitting behind the counter AND NEVER MOVED! after that, I had to return to the store after I had left to get the BLANKETS ,THAT I PAID FOR ,THAT WERE NOT ON THE TRUCK. What am I paying for? I'm DOING ALL OF THE WORK. YOUR SERVICE SUCKS! Because of this I was given a $50 refund and I WILL BE FOLLOWING UP ON THIS MONDAY!

Your facility was great. However, I originally reserved my truck from the Alsip, IL store and found out my truck wasn't coming back until 4pm the day I needed it. Trying to get.thru on the phone is crazy. I waited probably 45 minutes and then was directed to call the district (?) number to see if they could help me locate a truck. Again I waited on hold forever and then the recording wasn't working so I had to call the store back and wait on hold FOREVER AGAIN. Finally got someone very nice and very helpful who found me a truck at your store around where my son lives so he could pick it up. After all that though everything was great and easy pick up and return. Thank you

The staff (female) went above and beyond to help us with reserving the unit over the phone. Once we arrived to finalize the rental, we were helped right away by friendly staff and they even gave us a lock for free. Although that seems insignificant, it really made a stressful day a little less so.
