I can’t give enough praise to the employees at this location. Jarrett and Daniel went above and beyond to help me get set up. I had some electrical issues and they hooked me up to 3 different trailers to ensure the issue was not the trailer, rather my vehicle. Jarrett also changed out the battery in my vehicle when it wouldn’t start (and I was stuck in their garage bay), after the electrical issues. He spent much more time with me as a customer, than would ever be expected. Jarrett was genuine and never made me feel like a hindrance. This was greatly appreciated.

I was underwhelmed with the service. My biggest complaint is when I received the truck the paperwork said it was basically full. It was not. The truck was almost half full and I didn’t notice till the truck was already hooked up and I was at the gas station filling up. I took a picture and kept a receipt. When I made the drive to El Paso I showed the clerk all the supporting documentation. All their response was that it was my fault and I should have said something to the put going store. To me this demonstrates a lack of honesty and respect for customers.

When I first came in I stood in the waiting area for 15 mins.before anyone came to the front. I think a Jarrett came up, ask a lady a question and never said a word to me. I waited a few more mins and left. Called an hour later and the phone rolled over to someone else who was very nice but has problems with her computer. I went in to the local store to pick up my reservation and that young lady was also having problems with the computer system and took me close to 45 mins to get a trailer. She did not give me the one I looked at. When I got hooked up and backed in the area I wanted to load, The tie down rails were all messed up. On the passenger side they had replaced with a rail I could barely get my strap to. On the other side (driver) had a itty bitty rail and had to force a smaller rope through the even smaller holes far apart from each other. I I would have had the time, I would have brought it back and got the other one, But my helper was king enough to put off what he had planned and I did not want him to wait for me to exchange. When I got back to town to turn it in, I complained to the other lady and it was like so what! I told her I should have brought it back because of the tie downs, She pointed to the rings on the floor! WHAT tie downs on the floor is not going to secure my load. Then she says they only repurpose them some where else. Lesson learned, look again before you drive off!

I returned a truck with attached trailer. They did not bother to check in the trailer, I got a phone call about that today from the central call center. They also charged me around $564 dollars after the central call center told me I'd only have to pay $40, and then when I turned it in they said everything was up to date and no final charges. I'm still currently fighting this unsubstantiated fee, but they've left me little to no information on how to properly follow up on it so I bet I'll have to totally re-explain and have lengthy phone calls to fix this error. :(

My only complaint is that when I turned in all my equipment, after the contract had been extended "at no additional charge", I received a charge on my credit in excess of $500 for the additional days that were supposed to be "no additional charge".

The point of sale systems were not working, so we had to conduct our transaction via the U-Haul app on a tablet. The location also did not have the hand truck we had requested. To improve customer experience, have working point of sale systems and have all the equipment requested on hand.

When we turned in the U-Haul truck and had a 3/4 tank gas on our receipt the gentleman put down we turned less than a half a tank of gas and made a comment he was going to siphon the gas out of the truck and use it in his vehicle guess he did that....

Employees were absolutely terrific. Corporate Management needs to install a better IT system. Took almost 20 minutes to input data into the system. System hardware mis-matched. Software calls for touch screen capability. Hardware does not support touch screen capability. Employees did their absolute best with terrible tools to do their job. Everyone in Corporate Management should be fired!

It was the total cost..You might as well rent a truck from enterprise...U haul cost me a total of 147.00 plus 30 in gas. So 177.00 just to deliver a small load to Mc Neal..NEVER again..I rented a moving van in Palominas and it didn't cost me near as much same mileage or pretty close..The ladies were nice though..

Customer service is extremely poor. The workers weren't very friendly at all. When I went to return the vehicle the employee wouldn't even come outside to assist me when I clearly needed help. I walked in to reserve a truck. I told the man I needed to go get someone to drive my vehicle and I would be back in 30 minutes. I asked him if I needed a reservation number or anything and he told me no. When I went back to pick the truck up the employee gave my vehicle away which was a larger truck (resulting in 2 trips). Thank God someone had just walked in to return one or else I would've been out of luck. Just an overall bad experience.

Friendly and accommodating staff. We picked up a trailer on Saturday and was told to return it at 7am on Sunday. Arrived at 7am on Sunday to find out they open at 9 am --- that would have been good to know. We had to drive an extra trip to return it once they opened. Other than that, I am satisfied.

Verified in person day before that my reservation had all information needed, including my brother, the drivers, license number (had added copied to reservation). Woman at center verified it all, said all he needed to do was bring his license for verification. At 7am, pick up time, he was told he needed to build a profile on uhaul app in order to pick up the truck. NO EXCEPTIONS! After 40 min of trying to get app to work, they finally approved everything manually. Upon returning the truck I spoke to same person as I did day before asking her why she told me all he had to was show ID! She said after talking to me, her boss said they had to start forcing people to use the app to build a profile before renting. When I told her I had already done everything on the computer prior and confirmed it all with her, she said she was just telling me what she was told. Uhaule 40 min delay cost us 40 min of our movers cost due to no uhaul present AN HOUR AFTER reservation time.

It was difficult for me to rate my experience. While Staff is nice here, I purchased $70 worth of extra insurance that I thought protected for theft. Well, our U-haul was broken into in an overnight stay in Amarillo Texas. I reported incident to Amarillo Police Department and then called to file claim with U-haul. Gosh, was I surprised and disappointed to find out that U-haul provided me NO PROTECTION AGAINST THEFT!!! Staff needs to be MORE CLEAR when dealing with customers in what is covered and what IS NOT!!!

The manager here was amazing and took very good care of me. He informed me the benson worker hooked the trailer up incorrectly they took pictures and he offered me a discount for next time. I really just want my money back I could’ve gotten hurt had the trailer come undone.

I was charged $28.50 in error for not bringing in a 1 hour rental pick up truck under full. I drove 21 miles in total, filled up the tank and brought it back full. I was still charged for the gas. I spoke with the manager and they said they would fix the problem, however, my credit card still shows the charge. As a veteran, I do not expect to be cheated out of money or for services that I didnt request or use.

this location will not give you the guarantee that was promised. I shouldn't have had to pay no more than what Melanie promised me which was 183.97 with the 15.00 off coupon. This is what Melanie told me and its not what i ended up paying. No promises are kept. Even with the phone calls being recorded. I still ended up paying more than i should have paid. 221.72 it went down from the 253.97 which still isn't what i was told over the phone by Melanie. I even called there customer service numb and they are rude. I can't even speak to a supervisor. So no i will not recommend uhaul.

Two issues: - on installation day with specific appointment, the hitch was not there. Had to come back 2 days later. - The four pin harness was poorly wired and not secured, had to ask technician to correct loose wires and control unit. General manager recognized the problems and credited the labor cost. We appreciated his good professional attitude

The store was supposed to open at 9:00 am which was the same time we were supposed to drop off the equipment. It was closed so we ran a couple of errands before returning. Then there was only one employee and a line of customers waiting for service. By the time we were waited on the clerk charged us for an extra day rental and an extra day's insurance. Also, we accepted an amount of gasoline in the truck when we picked it up and had documentation to show for it. We returned with a significant amount over what we started with yet the clerk insisted that uhaul did not reimburse for gas. Upon my insistence that uhaul was cheating customers if that was their policy she finally called her manager who told her there was a way to credit overage and walked her through how to do it. I think we still lost money yet after being there for almost an hour all we wanted was to get out of there. She claimed that she refunded the extra day rental and insurance along with 15 dollars for gas. She also claimed that she sent us receipts for it all via email yet we received nothing. Suffice it to say it was not the best experience.

I would like a phone call from the manager. My hitch was installed well. Staff was courteous and friendly, but my plastic skid plate on the bottom of my Toyota Sienna was not reinstalled, but merely placed in the back of my van with the plastic rivets. Installer stated he didn't think it was worth cutting the skid plate and reinstalling. I've since seen others with it re-installed. I would like this corrected in a timely manner if at all possible. I had made my reservation 1 month in advance but yet I took my 3 hours to get my equipment. Free items showed up as not free, but over time it got worked out. Finally we were able to drive off. 5+ miles later we had to return as the trailer had no left brake light or blinker. The replaced the trailer only to find out still no left lights. So then we traded out the truck. It all got worked out but equipment needs to be more carefully checked. It should not have to take 3 hours.

The vehicle I was driving was in very poor condition. The employee who rented it to me should have already known this. I had additional places to go such as a furniture store. I chose to bring the U-Haul truck back early, because the vehicle was not operating properly. It felt as if though the transmission was slipping or missing. I was very afraid and nervous that I was going to be involved in an accident. Also I was anxious because I feared the vehicle was going to break down. I tried to explain to the another employee upon returning this vehicle what problems I had. I don't know if the employee understood what I was telling him. I stated to that employee, "this vehicle is dangerous."

Same at this location, a lot of the 4 x 8 trailers seemed to be very old and in need of replacement. Realize a lot of people like the 5 x 8 since it will take a queen bed, but some of us just need a covered cargo trailer.

I went in for the second time this year. The girl who helped me with my pick up was extremely nice. She was alone and had 5 customers. She was going crazy trying to help everyone but she did an excelent job. The first time I went in however. About a month back. The service was good but the man in charge lied to me. I needed a smaller ball and an adapter to hook up your equipment. I told him I didnt have a lot of money and that I would go get a smaller ball from home but purchase the adapter from you. He then told me that if I didnt want to drive all the way home I could buy a ball a simply return it after I was finished with it. I bought the ball which was around 35 dollars. When I returned the equipment I asked about returning the ball and the person doin the return told me they dont return used items. So I spent an extra 30 dollars when I didnt need to. Only issue everything rlse was average service.

Second time dealing with this location. First time was okay. This last time nobody greeted us. Nobody even acknowledged me. I parked disconnected my trailer waited around to see if anyone was going to check it in. Someone walked right past me didnt say a word and walked to the other employee on premises. I just got in my car and left uhaul there without contact or check in. This was middle of the work day 1030 or 11am

Picking up the trailer was quick and easy, the staff was very helpful and friendly. When I dropped the trailer off, the staff (only 2 people there) was not as friendly. The gentlemen that was there walked past me, looked at me, and did not acknowledge me, I waited in my truck with the window down (per the sign for drop off) for 10 minutes. I know that is not a long time, but when you are on your way to work, that is a considerable amount of time. I finally went inside, the lady at the counter had 2 customers, she helped them, and then asked me how she could help. I said I was there to drop a trailer. She said they would be right with me to go back out to my truck. I went out, and that is when the first gentlemen acknowledged me. They unhooked the trailer, asked if I needed a receipt, to which I said no thank you, and I was on my way. I said all of this to say this. Acknowledging a customer goes a long way, and doing it with a smile or at least a descent attitude shows your customer that you care and appreciate them choosing to patronize your establishment. Sierra Vista as a whole is lacking in one area, that is customer service, and this is not just the younger generations. Though I am not angry about this, I do feel that this needs to be said.

First i ordered my equipment 2 weeks prior to my move and two days before pick-up i receive a call they don't have the right equipment. my options are drive over an hour to get the right size or accept a lower size truck. they should have figured out how to get me my equipment. they are near a military base which sorry to say 26' one way rentals is your clientel. this caused me to have to pay an extra $2000 to ship 2 uboxes. the uboxes were not delivered on time to destination. I had a hard time getting weight tickets needed for reimbursement. Overall i will not use Uhaul again or recommend to my friends.
