I arrived at 4:30PM to drop off my truck knowing that this location closed at 5PM. When inside, I asked nicely if the someone on the staff could help me off-load a motorcycle I had used the Uhaul truck for as I am a new resident of the city and have no friends or family. Upon hearing this the lady working barked "We Closed!" the time was around 4:40PM. After explaining that I have no other options, she got the other employee to help (who was nice and helpful in helping me off-load the bike). When the bike was off the truck, I put it back in the return zone and went in to turn in the key. The lady then informed me that there was a "$20 cash only" fee for helping unload vehicles that have been hauled. I do not keep cash on me and asked if I could pay with card. The man who helped me was willing to help me, however the lady employee again barked at me saying "We closed everything already!". The man then said that the fee would be charged to my card the next day (which at the time, I was ok with). What I cant help but wonder is if the employees were just in a hurry to close early and pocket money off of me by making up a bullshit "vehicle off-loading fee" that just so happened to be cash only. I am also not happy that she was willing to leave me abandoned with my property still inside the Uhaul. I know the truck was available to me for up to 2 days but being as I am an adult and work a regular 8AM-5PM career, I had no other choice but to off-load the motorcycle at the Uhaul establishment and ride the bike back to my apartment. All in all, I'm unhappy with this transaction and will NOT be using this store anymore. I have used this store twice before but this bullshit-ery has put me off from bringing my business back.Landon N.

Equipment is not maintained or inspected. I asked about a trailer looking flat and was told to put air in it. When I asked about the screw in the tire, they said there's nothing they can do. I had to wait on the side of I85 for well over 2 hours because of this.BRET W.
We dropped off after hours and had to go through multiple steps to take pictures of the inside and the milage, gas level, back of truck. Then it said I owed $115 for gas even though we had filled the tank back up to 1/3 full after picking it up about 1/4 full. I maked that that was not OK and then had to wait for a day to make sure that no charge went on my credit card. I was not mischarged for gas, so all was well. Be more clear with directions. I spent well over an hour trying to figure out where my keys were. I called 24/7 nber and got an answer after waiting over 30inutes. Then the lock used to secure truck was difficult to open. That took an extra 15 minutes. Thankfully when I texted a representative they responded alot faster than a person on the phone. T his experience was very upsetting to me. At least this time all my equipment I ordered was in the truck.Sherry M.

I was promised a 26 ft truck, however I was called and was told that that truck was going in for mechanical service. Because of this, I was advised that they would give me a 15 ft truck instead. I explained that I have to move a 3 bedroom house! I was told that they would make sure I received the largest truck available. However, when I arrived to get my 15 ft truck there was another gentleman in front of me who had NO reservation but I did, who was able to walk away with the 26 ft truck. I told the clerk that this wasn't fair. The only accommodation they gave me was reduce price per mile to .79 instead of $1.19. I was still ridiculously charged because I had to make multiple trips. This could have been resolved had this site held to their promise! I had a standing reservation! In addition to this, it sure didn't help that the gentleman who walk away with my 26 ft was a white customer and I was a black customer. The general manager was right beside the clerk that was handling my truck check-out and he never acknowledged the situation. His only words were â€œI can help whose nextâ€. I want a refund! Oh and to add, I purchased a dolly and it wasn't on the truck. I have to travel back to get it (extra miles they also charged me for). So unfair!VINSON B.

Your reservation specialist need to do a better job of actually having the U-Haul at the location they are supposed to for pick up. I had a reservation for Greenville North Carolina and was told the day before that my pick up was in Pikeville North Carolina which is over an hour away. This was due to not having the size truck I need it in Greenville and my only resource was to take a 5 foot smaller truck to use for my moving. So I had to be inconvenienced and drive a truck and a car and a U-Haul to move my daughter since you didn't have the appropriate size vehicle. So disappointed in your service levels and your scheduling of vehicles even though I made my reservation over a month ago.ALAN B.

The people at this location were helpful overall, but my biggest complaint is with the earlier reservation I had at Greenville Mini Storage to pick up a van I reserved the day before and spent over 3 hours on the phone between being on hold and online.SEAN G.

Initially attention to detail was a bit lacking in the process of check in. No lock was provided though I paid for one, nor was there one in the unit. The process of swiping in was mentioned but not WHY you swipe in (i.e. you set off an alarm if you access your unit without swiping in) & swiping out was not mentioned at all. Fortunately, there are signs & I asked a young lady to clarify the process (Keisha? Maybe her name was... Lovely African American young woman) She's an asset for sure. Very pleasant and helpful. She clearly explained the check-in/out process & fetched me a lock while I was unloading and she opened the lock package as well. The facility is new and that helps with cleanliness. When I returned today a bar of soap that was in the elevator yesterday was now a ground up purple mess along with other bits of trash. Not a big deal but the elevator is essentially the front door for everyone who accesses their unit. The signs says 24 access is possible upon request but I was told only the GM could approve it. This is minor but it would be nice if there were always someone on hand who trusted make those decisions. All in all though, very good experience from start to finish. Just disappointed that people allowed to keep tow vehicles hooked up and in travel ways. Very much restricted turns and parking long rigs also know people came in and out with no access to be there and roamed around. They drove in when someone opened gate and then waited to leave when gate opened from inside saw this several times. That's very alarming and forced me to go over there every week to check on my boats. Not as secure as it should be. Very nice place but this needs to be addressed I think. Will be back in July. The only problem we had was that we called to rent a storage and was led to believe we had a space and we gave them our credit card information. But when we got there to put our stuff in the space, we were told that we did not have a space and there were none available. After much conversation, the agent finally gave us one. There was definitely some miscommunication somewhere but we were never told that a phone call and credit card did not reserve space. After all that, we are very satisfied with our storage space. Upon arriving the customer service was amazing and I truly thought wow, this is a great place! However I was really, extremely disappointment with my experience as the night ended. I wasn’t informed that the big doors don’t open after 7pm so I was stuck trying to fit a couch through one single door. As well as my pin code was showing a error that “I wasn’t checked in” , when I did go upfront to sign and was given a lock. I also was granted time access prior, as soon as 7:06 came I no longer had access. So I was stuck outside with a couch and a couple of other items and couldn’t receive assistance... but that’s not the worse part, while inside and open my lock to my unit the alarm went off over the entire building, not once but twice! I’m not sure if it was due to this same “not checked in status” but I had no one to come help, customer service told me I would have to wait until the next day. This was unfortunate being I stay out of town, have not begun relocating yet. I also needed to check my Uhaul in on this day, and here I was after 8pm with no access and needing to get back home (2+ hours away) very very traumatizing... I give two stars because the customer service at the actual store were like angels... but I just had a horrid experience and some details where left out about the storage.Taravia M. | First Impressions

The staff was very friendly and courteous. I was even given the 1st month free of charge. Not sure if there was some kind of promotion going on but it was awesome regardless. Also I accidentally set off the alarm in my unit because I didn’t check in, which was explained to me prior. I just forgot to since the door to get in was already open from another tenant. But one of the staff was there to shut off the alarm and kindly explain to me the reasons for the alarm.
