They stepped up to assist after my original location called and said my truck wa not there! Then they wanted me to go into Buffalo to get my truck. I live and am moving South of Buffalo. Weat Seneca was very accommodating on short notice! Kudos to them.

The woman behind the counter was beyond rude. My reservation was not ready. I took the time to do express check in. Nothing was saved in the system and she continued to argue with me. She kept telling me my credit card expired in 1999...I wasn’t even old enough to have a credit card in 1999. Not only was your customer service unacceptable but the truck was as well. There is no way the tires would pass a state inspection. They were visibly bald and you could feel it while driving. The transmission was slipping. Luckily it was for a local move...Definitely did not feel safe! Will use Budget in the future.

Billing and payment need to be updated. I paid $73.37, which included 15 miles, in the store and when I did the self check-in after the use of the truck, it charged me again for the full price of $126.77. All I should have been charged when I brought the truck back is the overage in miles (23 x .79 = $18.17). The overage charged caused an overdraft on my account which will cost me $38.50. I am completely not happy

Everyone was very pleasant. I picked up my truck at the appointed time but was informed there had been over booking so if I had been moments later and another reservation came before I would not have had the truck available. You had my credit card # and it was my understanding that was adequate to insure my reservation. This would have been catastrophic had I not have had my reservation honored. Now I realize all went well for me however future moving plans will be in question. I did get excellent advise on packing products and the products were reasonable in price and good quality.

I was extremely disappointed with my uhaul experience. I reserved my uhaul and spoke to someone confirming a location in Lackawanna. My husband and I showed up at the location and the doors were locked. They were closed. We had to drive to the orchard park road location and pick up the uhaul which was out of the way. As I am glad they were able to accommodate us, this is a problem that should not have happened in the first place. On an already stressful day this added more stress. The only thing that was done for us to help with our inconvenience was that the fuel level was adjusted so we didn't have to put gas in it when we returned it. Having a uhaul was supposed to be helpful and I am disappointed in the service we received even after we were inconvenienced.

My reservation was changed (location and time) without any notification had it reconfirmed after multiple phone calls the day before was sent to Hamburg location which was CLOSED all day (10/7) and thankfully was able to be rescheduled immediately (although later than originally planned) at the West Seneca location. Will use another service in the future

In person customer service could use some work. First man was texting and asked me to hang on a second; pointed to 4 identical looking trucks under a tree and tried to tell me me which one to take. I ended up taking the wrong one- the only reason I figured that out was because the mileage was wrong. The rep on the phone ( when I finally got the right one) was VERY nice a helpful. She did a great job and for me on my way. When I got back, the second d guy I dealt with didn't even say hello; I had to greet him. Basically, he just was not all that personable or friendly- not like a customer service rep should be. I'll go back because it's really the only one nearby, but they could seriously use some better people skills training.

The truck was good, should have met my needs. The movers I hired off of your site were incompetent and had to repack the truck twice. Took extra 5 hrs of time to move. They damaged my tv stand less than 2 years old, damaged my couch the walls of the apartment. Never again

First, i signed up online a few days prior to the day I needed the uhaul. I selected the date and time and truck I needed. Somehow I got a text confirming the complete incorrect time from what I selected (I chose 10:30 am and i got a text for 6:30pm). I called back the next day (the store was closed, so I had to call the following day) and could only get a uhaul 2 hours after I wanted it. That was fine, I should have tried signing up for one earlier than I did, but the website should have more accurate times that different trucks are available and clearly there is some glitch with the site. I wanted a 26 foot uhaul, which it was confirmed that I was getting one, only to hear that when I showed up (I didn't show up late I showed up about 15 minutes early) the only thing they had was a 15 ft truck which means I'd have to make more than one trip because everything wouldn't fit. The employee said it was completely their fault and he saw the truck was signed out to two different people prior to this. It was super inconvient. I got a $20 discount but am still super dissatisfied with this. Like do you guys let two people sign a truck out at the same time so that you can still get business from people? You guys definitely need to create a more organized system because it really sucks for customers trying to coordinate a move. This was a terrible expirence.

scheduled a 17 foot truck was told I was good to go and got a 10 ft...had to do multiple trips and it cost me 50 extra dollars.....truck smelled like smoke...i am allergic it was bad

We returned the equipment early as this location asked because they were down one truck. When we asked if we could get our rate adjusted we were directed to contact the supervisor, who never called us back. We would say Poor Customer service for this rental trip.

I have used U-Haul twice in the last 2 months. Once was a trailer around town and more recently I towed a boat one-way from Florida to New York using one of their box trucks. In all my experiences, in the stores (3 of them) or on the phone, everyone I dealt with was professional yet casual. All fees were straight forward (and reasonable) and no one pressured or offered confusing services or fees. Everyone seemed to genuinely want to help me get my jobs done. The equipment was clean and felt more than reliable. This to me shows U-Haul is a well run organization. I typically don't leave reviews and rarely rely on 1-stat or 5-star reviews. But I can't think of one thing I didn't like about my experiences. I will definitely be using them in the future.

I made a reservation for pickup at the Elma location. The reservation came back as Orchard Park. The return was reserved for 1:00 pm...this was changed on me to 10:00 am. This system allowed me to reserve what I wanted but the company changed it all. VERY POOR ON UHAUL'S PART...then UHaul is unwilling to provide any customer service to fix the problem!!!!!!

When you send a confirmation for a time and location have the truck there! I had to drive 8 miles away to a different location because of this. Also the owner at the location I was supposed to pick the truck up at said he deletes the emails he gets from online reservation. This is the second time I have had a problem with this location. I will never use uhaul at B and S mini storage again!

I would have given it an excellent rating based on my interaction with the Manager, on 8/26/17, but I was displeased with how an employee, Vince interacted with my wife on the prior day. He was apathetic and non helpful when we were dealing with an issue of piece of rental equipment that was suppose to be there but was not there. While I understand that it was not U-Haul's fault the equipment was not there as a prior customer did not return it.He did nothing to help us out, and was rather apathetic. Vince could do with a little more customer service training.

Everything was very streamlined and hassle free. The actual system for ordering at the store was having issues and we had to reorder the uhaul 3 separate times in store. Repairing the ordering CPU system would be my only suggestion

Just the fact you have movers that work off your website that don't show or call. Tried 2 different ones had to get a emergency movers and costed me $350 mover. All because your movers didn't show.

The rental and return were seamless. It took about five from my arrival to when I drove off with the pick up truck. The turn-in took 6 or 7 minutes. The truck, a low mileage, spotlessly clean, Dodge Ram pickup, performed as advertised. All-in-all, it was an A1 experience.

The only comment is the Lady that set up our rental was very professional and friendly. The Young Man we turned our rental to later that day could use a little customer relations education. He wasn't very courteous or friendly. He was in fact a sour puss.

I would for the expense and customer's ease of mind, ensure warning directives such as "Oil Change Required" alerts be cleared prior to equipment being placed "In Service". All that did was indicate to Me the motor pool is in severe need of management at all levels. Employees were not present, other customers present claimed to have been waiting for 15 minutes prior to My arrival. I used My cell phone to call the site to let staff know people were waiting. One of the two attendants that arrived was required to input my data 7 times prior to the system accepting the info and moving on to the next stage. There was no review of the vehicle and its status upon being brought out to be turned over to the customer (Me). Upon return of the vehicle, when deficiencies were reported to a different attendant, he simply demonstrated a trick (depressing odometer switch) so mileage could be revealed. Unfortunately those issues merely make this particular UHaul site average versus being unsatisfactory. Severe need of upper management being less concerned with the "bottom line" and more attuned to customer satisfaction. It may cost a little more to merely adequately manage a UHaul site, but in My opinion well worth it in the long run. As a customer I took a picture of the alert immediately upon starting out to properly ascertain liability in the event a misfortune occurred.

Well, everything was OK. I personally think to charge 44 dollars to fill a tank is a little bit over the top. I forgot my wallet at the new house and was not able to fill the gas tank up. I know it is more work for you, but still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. 20 to 30 dollars would be fine. There is a gas station across the street and you probably send somebody to fill it up who makes a little bit more than minimum wage. Total cost for you probably 15 dollars. Don't mind me, they are just my thoughts.

I was extremely surprised by the price to rent a trailer for a one way trip. I don't remember that kind of sticker shock when renting U-Haul trailers in the past. I will definitely be shopping around more when my next move requires a trailer rental.

The issues I have with U-Haul are not about this location even though I specifically asked to pick up in the Depew NY location. My issue is that a reservation with U-Haul is meaningless. I booked a 26 foot truck and then auto transporter on July 11 for a July 30 pick up. However, I was informed after an initial email earlier that day that my equipment was reserved that no auto transport was available. I was told one would be available on Monday, 7/31. That simply was unacceptable. Your regional Western NY staff didn't give a damn about my reservation. The representative have the audacity to tell me that my auto transport was just booked within the last 24 hours. A reservation made on July 11, 2017, it's not in the go she Asian for U-Haul to decide when a piece of equipment would be available after you have confirmed a reservation. Tear injury to insult, no auto transport became available. On Sunday, July 30 I was sent to Niagara Falls New York to pick up a piece of equipment that would allow me to tow my car but not what I specifically ordered. Additionally, I was charged the full price for the auto transporter which would allow me to tow my car without wheels being on the ground when I was provided with a lesser model which forced me to tell with two wheels I'm dragging. I spent a significant amount of time frustrated, angry, and then had to call back to deal with the charges that were incorrect. I therefore, request that I be reimbursed for the full cost and insurance that I paid for the auto tow. I did receive a follow-up call after my initial complaint stating something would be reimbursed but it was never clear how much. With all the aggravation that I have gone through and the 60 miles round-trip that I had to go out of my way to pick up this auto tow (I was not reimbursed for the additional gas expenses), I should not have to pay anything. You violated the contract that we went into. You violated the contract that you sent me in an email. No one gave a shit about my needs and my schedule and made my life frustrating to say the least. What is the point of taking reservations and confirming then if you are not going to honor that which was reserved? Your customer service is horrible. Your reliability and providing and meeting your contractual obligation's is horrible. The lack of empathy care or customer support by your staff particularly in the western New York region of Buffalo New York Is horrible.

To improve the experience for the next customer you can charge what you say you will. At check in I was charged for 2 days even though I was told I could return after hours for a one day. I was also charged a higher mileage rate than I was quoted online - .29. A GM adjusted the number of days and the mileage rate - THANK YOU; but for some reason I was charge 79.00 for the rental instead of 19.95 as I was quoted online, as it says in the store, and as it says in big bold letters on the truck. This is crazy.

Staff should not be using chewing tobacco and spitting into a garbage can. I indicated that the rental would be returned on October 29th. After my review of the printed receipt, I indicated that the return date was incorrect. I was informed that this was ok and that a note would be placed on my transaction to avoid a phone call I then received a phone call questions why my rental was not returned on the 23rd, removing me for a program that I was conducting. While at the Orchard Park store I found the staff to be disorganized. When the trailer was attached I was asked to go back into the store as the incorrect info was on the receipt, and another transaction needed to be processed.

When I called the staff were kind and courteous. When I arrived to pick up my 5x8 trailer, there was a problem with my trailer hitch wiring. The good people of this business did not turn me away. They connected me with their amazing mechanic, Ken, diagnosed the problem, and got us on our long journey. Best service I have experience anywhere in a long while.

It wasn't his fault, but I don't know of any retail environment where a 10-minute wait is acceptable. There should have been more staff present.

I'm very upset cuz the place I called was not the place I rented the truck. This pick up location was very nice but I don't leave in orchard park I wanted the rental from Hamburg u cost me an extra 16 miles. Next when I rent from a place I expect to get the rental from there not have to drive 10 miles out of my way. Didn't even get a conformation email stating where to pick up the uhaul or phone call will never rent another uhaul ever.

i think for someone like me for instance you should have a set rate for miles above say 50 or so because i thi k it gets too expensive too quick and we hsd to limit what we could move to stick to a budget which all in all makes moving even more stressful vut other than that id use uhaul again and again if i needed to.

The vehicle's transmission or somethi,g was absolutely terrible. The vehicle had the hardest time changing gears so sometimes could not even accelerate. On several occassions, it was extremely terrible. One time, the vehicles rpm acted like it was accelerating even though I was not pushing gas. Very bad. Also, I did a one way trip.. it would've been nice to be able to choose my drop off location upon rental, because instead, I was instructed by the Orchard park location to call some number when I was ready to return the uhaul.. The number was "closed." I called the Orchard park location and expressed the number was closed and asked if they could tell me where I could return the uhaul.. The lady said, "let me get someone that can answer that and just cold transferred me to THE SAME NUMBER I TOLD HER WAS CLOSED.. and so i couldn't return the uhaul at my convenience.. Had to wait until next day to call and then return.

Employees seemed annoyed with my questions. Last trailer had shorted running lights and I got pulled over at 2am and held for 1 hour while they checked my truck and trailer, I had to leave the trailer and get it the next day. So I asked if they?checked the trailer I was taking and they got an attitude. Well they gave me the same broken trailer. I had to park it and I called U-Haul roadside service and I could not get anyone through the auto attendant. I had to call U-Haul accident report. They put me through to roadside. Who told me it would be at least 1.5 hours before they arrived. So I returned the trailer the next day. I got a bill for 2 days....Lol... Your service is HORRIBLE. If your company wasn't the only game in town you wouldn't get a dime from me.

The office and truck were clean and the people were nice, but my truck broke down (needed to have the starter replaced) and I was stuck for over two hours waiting for the repair man and the time to replace the starter. When I returned the truck, I inquired of a refund or discount, the staff person said they would check with the owner, but that they were not authorized to offer a refund. I have not heard from anyone nor received a refund. In the future I will not use uhaul and will not recommend to any friends

There is only one thing this location is consistent at and that is not having the proper truck for the reservation that was made. They are 3 for 3 within 5 months and one was for my wedding!!! The staff was very efficient and knowledgeable. I rented a 6x12 trailer and a dozen moving blankets. Immediately upon opening the trailer I noticed the trailer was very dirty inside. It could have easily been swept out to clean it a bit.

My only problem was the truck was not cleaned off of snow, also the roller door was frozen shut and took about 20 minutes to get opened. Once opened it was very hard to open and close, I wish it would have been checked before I left. I will check it myself next time.

I ordered my truck and said that I would be back later for my rental as I had to go to work when I arrived to pick up my truck it was moved and checked back in... This is not what I wanted to deal with after working long hours and begging coworkers to help me move. I'll never return to uhaul again 7166019013

The lady we worked with was beyond rude and had no idea about how dimensions of a pickup truck would fit on a tow dolly. It was pathetic. It took us over a half an hour there because of her lack of knowledge which wasted our rental time...everything after that was extremely rushed due to our experience there. Very disappointed especially since we typically have a good history with uhaul in these situations.

I was garenteed that I would receive a 50 dollar credit on my retail and never did. After a few emails they stopped responding. Very unprofessional after the fact. In all and all they are refusing to give me the credit.

I reserved the truck several days in advance as I need to move. I received a confirmation the truck would be available on n the morning. Upon arrival there was no truck. When I inquire staff were rude and indignant. They had no explanation why a confirmed reservation would not be honored Had I known I would have rented a truck from another location. Needless to say my move was pushed back by 8 hours and I was charged a full day rental And as a result of not getting the truck until late afternoon I had to keep the truck an extra day. I incurred additional costs due to their poor planning.

The truck I rented had significant trouble with the ignition switch or possibly the key which took several attempts to start. This was reported to the service agent upon the return of the truck. This should be fixed before renting this truck again. Thank you for your attention.

One comment about Uhaul service in general. I have had issues with more than one location when calling. If nobody answers, you get transferred to someone in another state who can`t assist as well.
