I spoke with a gal from this location on January 9th which was a Saturday. At this time I discussed the rental agreement and explained I'd return it by either late Monday night January 11th or by Tuesday January the 12th and would pay in full. Unfortunately this was not relayed or properly documented to corporate office and then cooperate office reported the truck stolen. So imagine my surprise when I heard two police officers banging on my door at 1:55 pm January 12th. Which obviously is Tuesday and the day I'm returning this rental. I stepped out of my home and got commanded to face the wall and put my hands behind my back and then arrested. It wasn't until a couple minutes had gone by that I was Informed I was being charged with vehicle theft from uhaul. I was completely bewildered and confused as I'm no thief. I begged and pleaded with the officer to let me call uhaul and straighten out the mix up , to which he refused and himself and his partner were more worried about the 4 other cars on my property without plates. Non of which were stolen , just simply due to Covid-19 it's hard to get an appointment scheduled. So long story short. The officer did call uhaul to verify if they still wished to press charges and made it seem as though they recovered a stolen vehicle thru great police work and true grit. The reality of it is the truck was parked in my front yard with my 22 foot flat bed trailer attached. I live on one of the busiest streets in my area and on a corner lot. Basically the whole damn town could know the truck was there. Now does that seem strange to whomever may be reading this. If A person was truly stealing a vehicle why would they park it directly in front of their house for the whole world to see? Don't worry I'll wait. So I was booked into jail and then my mugshot ended up on several of Facebooks group page inmate sites. I'm getting flooded with phone calls and messages and I look like a piece of trash thief. It cost me 1000 dollars to bond out and the next day I walked into the local office I rented the truck from and paid in full what was owed and cleaned the truck out completely. The manager/ owner Brian was there and pleasant and openly admitted that was his wife I spoke with that Saturday and that there was some miss communication there and he apologized. So.... see where I'm going with this. I expect uhaul to make this right and I also want a letter from uhaul apologizing for what took place and the sooner the better because time is of the essence for uhaul before I start making legal phone calls. And we all know those never end good. Especially when a consumer is wrongly accused of a crime and then arrested for said crime and charged. I expect a response back no later than Monday the 25th of January with what uhaul intends to do regarding this matter and to satisfy my concerns. Hire front desk staff with actual customer service experience. They argued over petty things amongst themselves as I waited to pay/pick up truck. Unacceptable. Also too much hidden fees my expected price was 58+tax overall I paid $118. Called manager to get clarification as this was my first time ever renting a uhaul, but he was very unhelpful. Customer support was very good, they assisted me in locating a car transporter 2 hours away that was suppose to be at the location via reservation. I only have a digital copy of my license and the app prevented me from uploading which prevented me from taking picking up a truck. So I walked kntk tbe office and that is when Kathy, the do it All lady at this site saw me and stopped what she was doing and walked in from the parking lot where she was warming up trucks and greeted me warm and friendly. She hear my listened to the explanation of my situation and immediately provided solutions. Within ten minutes of thinking I was in trouble of failing my project, kathy had me out the door, in a truck, and on my way. My experience with Uhaul was awesome and our business relationship is strong Thank youHoward H.

I was upset because on Saturday I RESERVED a. Uhaul for a certain location and when I got there to pick it up they gave it away!!! So I had to drive across town to another location! The process was easy. Everything was ready when I got there. I had reserved my truck online. The truck did seem to pull a little to the left at speeds over 60. But not a horrible pull. The rate was good I got the insurance because I got a bigger truck than I usually drive.MARVIN R.
Trucks were overbooked and I was pressured to get the truck back by 4pm (I picked up at 945). This gave me a little over 6 hours to complete my move. When I booked it, I indicated an 8-4 rental but also knew the rate was for 24 hours. This was confirmed by the clerk. No discount, no thank you. Just, â€œI don't know why they alway do this.â€ And â€œhave it back by 4â€. Your overbooking should not be my problem. Nothing but problems with my reservation and communication with the customer service women there... More intent to speak to my son instead of me about the issues... Needed to pull a travel trailer behind - upon calling in, stated they had a 2 5/16" ball to put on - they never stated 2" balls were welded on - offset location for other @4", and had to pay @$70 onsite for that! Then no pin to go with hitch, another $4! They lost the keys to the 15ft truck, which ended up being in the woman's jacket pocket! Very disappointed with these women - i have used this location before and no problems EVER - this was a bad taste in my mouth, hopefully never use them again... Was a rip in the drivers seat and the tank was only 1/3 full... dirty inside van body...MARYAM E.
Truck was very clean and easy to handle. Price was excellent and will use again. The gentleman that checked us in was very nice and informative. Do always check the gas as ours was not completely full but they did reimburse when we filled back up to over full.Janice P.

I am QUITE frustrated that the UHaul location IN INDIANOLA--where I WANTED to return the trailer does not accept drop offs! HOW is that serving the customer??? How do you allow your franchise named to be used, yet they don't accommodate your customer? Why is it MY problem if they have an over abundance of trailers and/or truck rentals? (I don't even know if that is why they wouldn't accept drop offs. I HAD to go another 20+ miles and the extra time to return what should have been a 5 minute trip.WESLEY B.

I have rented two U-haul trucks in the last 6 months. Both times I requested a regular two-wheel dolly during my online reservation process. Both times when I went to pick up the truck I was told that there were no available dollys. This makes moving boxes and furniture much more difficult. U-haul obviously needs to have more dollys on hand at every pick-up location. This is a vital piece of equipment that needs to be available with every truck.John S.
Originally had a reservation to pick up auto transport from 101 63rd west dsm. Got there was told no equipment available and was made to come back to current location at 630 when one would be available. I live 40 minutes away so was very ðŸ˜¡ with the whole situation!!! Pickup was scheduled for 7am however the day of pickup, no employee was there at this location and it was completely closed until 2 girls that looked like they rolled straight from bed and still drunk opened the store at about 8:20am-8:30 am showed up to open the location and give us keys to start our out of town location. I was to receive a credit due to the mishap and that didn't happen. I'll never refer anyone to that one. Very disappointing and cause an even longer move and more money since i hired helpers to move and they sat and did nothing for over the 1st hour.Trin C.
