On May 7th I reserved a 20' truck for May 28th to move my daughter home from her college apartment. I showed up at the U-Haul facility at 7:45am on the 28th to pick up the truck. They had one 20' truck on premise but they said I couldn't have that one and that they didn't have a truck for me. Keep in mind, I'm the only one there at that time and I have a reservation for a 20' truck and there is one on the lot. My daughter had to be out of her apartment by 5pm that day. After an hour and a half at the U-Haul facility the best they could do was rent me a 12 foot trailer. The 12 foot trailer was a major inconvenience as we had to make 2 trips between Stillwater OK and Glenpool OK to move all of her stuff which is an extra 140 miles roundtrip.James H.

Only person working on one of the busiest weekends of the year. Move out weekend at Oklahoma State. The person duty was doing best her could. But wait was over an hour to get equipment. Manager didn't come because of Mother's Day.Shanon K.
The U Haul website was a bust. Did not work on several occasions like for changing the time of pickup or turning the vehicle in after hours. Would not upload pic's. Just awful. Also, calls transferred to the corporate office would not transfer until 15 minutes - yes 15 minutes of messages were played. All in all, I spent over an hour waiting for responses on three phone calls. I bet you won't let upper management see this message! If so, they owe my an apology for all I went through this weekend. Then the wrong mileage was entered into the contract to begin with, so the website would not take my true return mileage, so I had to "file a disagreement request". They obviously dropped the U-box. It was literally falling apart, to the point they had put metal straps around it to hold it together. Boxes on the 2nd layer were completely upside down. How does that happen if they didn't drop it?TONY K.

I had an absolutely horrendous experience with uhaul in general. I was told that I would be able to track my ubox but I could only ever see that it was "in transit" which isn't tracking. I also was told that it would be guaranteed to be in stillwater by the 23rd and it was 4 days late and I was not told that it was going to be late until the day it was expected to arrive. I was given multiple different expected dates of arrival after that. I attempted to get a hold of uhaul to find out information multiple times and could barely ever get through on the phone. I had to wait on hold for at least 10 and at most 60 minutes. I was not told that I couldn't get the ubox delivered to my final address until two days prior. My stuff did arrive safely but the lock had been damaged during shipping and was difficult to open. The only truly positive interaction I had was with the assistant manager (Zachary) at the stillwater location who helped me unload the ubox into a truck so that I wouldn't have to drive the truck to two a ubox and trailer both ways. He was very pleasant and hard working and I couldn't have done it without him!Sarah B.

I originally was supposed to get a truck from APR in Enid, OK. Reserved it 10/30/20. Got down to three days before pickup & was told truck was gone. I had to drive to Stillwater to pick up. Something NOT factored into packing & moving plans. I thought I was getting the number of pads my mover recommended, but did not. He tried to get APR to comp me the extra pads due to the runaround I had to go through, but no. Extra trip on moving day, & extra money out the door. I have rented from Bobby for over 9 years. He has always gone above what normal people do as far as service. He is knowledgeable about many things and will come to your aid anytime. He will come in all types or weather conditions and make sure you are secure before you leave his shop. I will only rent from him. I have read some of the comments and I say if you are not satisfied with Bobby Dee then you must be the problem. He know what he is talking about and respects people in every way. I might recommend this site to someone but need to give new staff appropriate training so they can take care of customers when they bring in equipment. Waited for refund on boxes brought back said that would happen later that afternoon employee stated he didn't need any further information he had our contract but credit never refunded. You can't just throw a new employee out to the wolves and just let whatever happen. Don't feel like it was his fault at all should have had proper training.MELISSA C.

U-haul was installed without a d-ring which caused it to disconnect on the highway, creating a serious life safety hazard. Zac Ingram, the salesperson, repeatedly hit on Morgan Vance and Madison Vance, the two girls who picked up the trailer. In fact, Zac asked Morgan for her phone number (not for rental purposes), and told her she would be great with his kids. He proceeded to tell them his wife was in prison so there wouldn't be any interference. Last, I was told over the phone before renting that if I picked up the trailer any time on Friday, I could return it any time on Sunday and would not be upcharged, but Morgan's credit card was upcharged on Sunday.Morgan V.

Facility is in a fairly convenient location to OSU. It is on a hill so I didn’t worry about my storage flooding, but also with that, you have to be careful taking the turns in a big truck. Sometimes the lot is empty and easy to maneuver, sometime it’s full of trucks making it a tight squeeze. It is not gated, but I felt it was secure. Someone is always there if you need something. Move in was easy. Move out was not bad, but make sure you follow up and get a confirmation right away. Would definitely use this facility again, if the need arises.Andrew P. | Overall Experience

I was able to rent this storage unit over the phone for my daughter just before school closed for COVID. They sent all the needed information via e-mail and when we arrived the lock was in the unit and we were able to move in despite the office being closed. When we moved out everyone was kind and helpful. I like that the unit was temperature controlled and the cameras made me feel safe and secure leaving our stuff there. Over all a good experience with a storage unit. Only had a problem with the policy regarding payment/ prorating of unit if moved out early. The property had a couple issues. We had difficulty leaving the unit entry area because of some concrete damage caused our car to bottom out if not very carefully driven over. 4 star rating due to the few minor issues. Staff was always friendly and helpful and knowledgable when inquiring about policies and procedures.
