This location was 45 minutes away from my preferred location, adding 1.5 hours of driving to a day that would already include 4h+ plus loading/unloading. I find that to be unacceptable but What choice did I have?? The booking was made 2 months in advance. Also, I booked and paid online but had 21$ in additional charges on arrival. It is not the location's fault but something different should be done. The extra time and gas were a problem but What of people who dont want to drive on the highway with rental equipment and have no choice when one of the 5 local locations cant serve them??? The actual location was good and they did let me know that I could pick up the trailer earlier (as per my request since my preferred time was not granted and would have put me yet another 3 hours behind).Kimberley M.
Equipment very clean & reliable. Staff very helpful. Booking was very quick and easy. The only problem was that the key pick up & drop off locations did not match where it said they were on the mobile site. For example, the site said the key drop off was an orange box by the front door. It was actually a mail slot on the side of the building. It delayed us by a few minutes - not a big deal but process would be much smoother if the website descriptions/pictures matched the actual pick up and drop off boxes.Shantel L.

The employee threatened us with reporting us to the police after a 3 day rental and the trucks transmission was not working probably revving to 5000 rpm before shifting. Credit card terminals didn't work on checkout.Timothy S.

I rented a tow dolly, and when I picked it up the young man was very helpful. He hooked it up for me on the van. When I got to the car to be towed, the tire strap cranks were very rusty and very hard to use. As well, the lower slide rail on one side would not move to align the straps on the wheel. We had to use a winter scraper to clean it out enough to move it. This took a lot more time for loading. This was not what I expected from your company. The equipment has not been well maintained.John S.
Only a quarter tank of gas made it hard to estimate how much fuel to add to get to destination and return with a quarter tank. Truck should be full on pick up to make it simple to use the guide on the contract.Frank S.

The company needs to improve in general. The guys at this location are great. They can't help if the company in general are just plain fuckheads. Changing my reservation days before my move forcing me to rent a second van the day before cause I couldn't get help with the new time I was given. And also nobody gave a shit. Everyone I talked too was a complete asshole about it. That's why fucking people work at U-Haul tho, they have failed at life. Will never use you guys again I will find any other place to rent from. Price quoted was $30.00 different; still dealing with that issue. Arrived at storage after office hours, after loading to find the unit had someone else’s lock on it. I just want to send a big Thank You to Nolan at the 130 Upper Centennial Pkwy, Stoney Creek location. I pushed my work day too long and came really close to missing closing time, but I did make it. I was exhausted from my long day at work in St Catherines, Nolan was in a good mood at 6:45pm, polite, knowledgeable of my question or two, well trained, eager, happy to work at a great uHaul location and outgoing (I forgot about the mirror I broke in my rental and he had no issues cleaning it up for me ... The lady in the counter does not have customer skills at all. The bed floor was full of snow which makes it unusable. The gas tank wasn't full even when they told me it was. The odometer was showing a different number than the one online and even when I changed it and uploaded a picture of it, I still got charged the original one. It wasn't a lot but still makes you think that either the guys are not checking the odometer or they are just trying to make more money out of it. It wasn't a pleasant experience at all.Jose S.

Great location. Quick and easy pickup and return process, however, the truck was very dirty inside. Coffee stains everywhere, sticky steering wheel and seats, and human/pet hair stuck to dashboard. The truck was also in very rough shape and drove very poorly (felt unsafe). I like the location and the process was quick, but the equipment was horrible.Peter W.

Great service, would have preferred 24/7 access. Great customer service by front desk staff. The first night I got there to check in and the system was done, I was unable to get the storage unit that night. The following day I worked until 6pm and got there just before close. So the truck that was given to me was a 15 footer - to start off with it only had 1/4 of fuel - the wipers did not clean the windshield as they where falling apart- the front end was loose when turning corners and the alignment was out and steering was off - also both front tires where bald on the edges - for having to drive 150km that AM i am lucky to be alive ! I called the customer service number to rent a truck and told the person what I was picking up (king mattress/box springs) and he said the 8' truck would be good. I went to uhaul to pick up the truck and was told that wouldn't be big enough and was told to get a 15' truck (totally wasn't needed). The CSR who served me was not wearing a mask - his gaiter was around his neck. I was not screened up on entering the location. The CSR swore (shit/fuck) multiple times during our transaction and told me â€œI close the door at 7, if you come back with the truck at 7:02, I won't even look at youâ€. He also took pictures of my boyfriends ID with his personal phone which seemed incredibly inappropriate. I was actually shocked at how unprofessional this guy was. Lucky for Uhaul, you don't really have competition!Michael C.

I was very frustrated and disappointed to find out that the truck ai reserved had a red engine light on. The older lady at the Rymal Road location just send us to another location without even being courteous, no apologies for the trouble. I was about 1.5 hrs behind my schedule after the whole ordeal. The staff at the upper centennial location were very kind and helpful, unfortunately I could finish my move. I had originally booked the truck for two days, due to this inconvenience I could only had the truck for one day; which means I will have to complete my move on the 27th of December!! The entrance driveway @ Highland Rd needs the pot holes filled. This can cause vehicle tires to bulge & get damaged- can be dangerous ! The back RV lot also needs the low spots filled. There are many large puddles when it rains. Understanding that the premises is up for renovations but the pot holes & low spots are a simple fix to convenience customers. When I first moved my stuff into the storage locker, I went to the office and said it’s very dark in there & I can’t see anything and that the light bulb is burnt out. They told me I needed to bring my own lightbulb from home as they don’t supply them. As I was just staring at the young guy in stunned silence, he added, “My manager says, we supply the electricity, but not the lightbulbs”. So, my next trip to bring stuff in, I actually brought a ladder and a lightbulb to change it myself so I could see. Seriously, U-Haul, have a few behind the counter to change them out when they blow....people moving or storing stuff have enough on their plate!!
