I received the truck with "approximately" 3/4 tank full. After using it I put some gas in. Upon return, your employee said "Oh, it will just be a few dollars more." Then I was billed over TEN dollars. What a dishonest, bullshit system you operate. My only issue is with the way I was told your system is set up. I was told that I was unable to use my DEBIT card that's attached to my BANK ACCOUNT WITH PLENTY OF MONEY IN IT Jp Morganchase account that I'm not able to use my card to rent the van that I wanted initially. I was told my card that's attached to my account was a prepaid card. After I told him it was not he insisted that it was and rudely offered me the 10ft truck. The guy with the dog insisted that my card was not a real credit or debit card so he pretty much insulted me ave called me a liar. I've been using u haul since I was adult age and have used my card to book truck rental storage space on a few different states and nobody has ever told me chase was not a credible means of banking to debt a truck.Joy A.

The truck was not at the pick b up location. We had to find another truck and have a friend pick it up. It took an hour. We only had our moving team for 3 hours and 1 hour was wasted. I've rented fro this location more than once. They are very nice here. Nothing can be fine to improve. However, the app could be improved fir returns. I've had issues at least twice. This time, it could not connect to the network on the last step. I had to go through everything to return four or five times before it connected to the network on the last step. Though we were unhappy that this was the third UHaul we were sent to (after having successfully reserving the equipment 2 days in advance), this location did actually provide the needed equipment to rent and Adam gave a great customer experience in light of the troubles we encountered to that point. My mattress was inside of 2 tarps and still was ruined by dripping water from the wall or ceiling and I was unable to use the insurance I payed for to replace it. The lock did not fit and the door was unable to secure completely which made me get calls from the office about an improper lock which I was forced to use because I was not able to move to a new working locker nor would they fix the sliding portion of the lock or the door. It would be helpful for on the phone communications about installing hitches be more thorough. For example I was NOT told about installing a wiring harness and that it could void my auto warranty. All is good with this storage facility except one current issue: there is a 3-5 inch divot across the entire width of the entrance drive to the facility that is obviously from when the wiring for the new light-up entrance signage was installed. The issue is that you have to drive across the divot to get into the facility, and no vehicle (personal car or U Haul truck) can go over the divot without serious rocking. This inevitably rattles items being moved around quite a bit and is a danger to the suspension and undercarriage of some smaller cars making using this facility not only annoying but also dangerous to fragile items being moved. This specific issue is why I would currently not recommend anyone use this facility. It is that big of a problemChristopher D. | First Impressions
Move in and cleanliness of facility was fine. Being a first time user, I called the number to reserve a 10'x10'x10' unit. I got the reservation no problem. However, I thought that meant that I was guaranteed the unit I reserved. We drove 3 hours with a packed car and trailer only to find out that that was not the case. I had to rent two 5'x7' units to accomodate SOME of our things and had to bring the rest home again. I made an order back in May and canceled it on the second immediately because I found out that my friend was willing to keep my items. However before the moving in date that is supposed to be I still got emails about the details so I was very confused and contacted customer support. They say that it was a system error because according to their records at my homepage I do not have any active orders for now. However in July I got a late notice that is charging me for $60. I was very confused because I’ve already confirmed with the customer support that I have already cancel my order and I have never been to U-Haul. I called the customer supports that has always been busy, sent an email that I did not even get in single reply after 10 days as for now, and for some reasons the live chat link would not work for me after trying different browsers and enabling the pop ups. Finally I found a number that is for the Madison facility so that I don’t have to call the official customer support and a guy help me to resolved the issue. I rented a unit on Sunday and made sure to write down clear directions how to access after hours bc I knew I would not make it by 5pm after your took an hour to see 3 different sized units. Then I wasn’t allowed access to unloading dock/ building even tho I did exactly as told. It apparently was the unit I rented. Augh! Then On Monday I asked for same exact unit size with access, Adam reassigned me and when I took the first load of items in to it, there was a huge column taking up a large amount of space inside my unit. So, I had to switch back to former unit so I no longer have 24 hr access. Needless to say, this has all been a big hassle and has wasted a lot of my time and energy and my RV was overloaded with weight much longer than expected due to no access Sunday and the air wasn’t working there at Packers(leak) so I couldn’t even get air in my tires to put them back to normal. Staff was friendly and I was pretty grouchy after dealing with this for 3 days(Sat-Sun-Mon). However, I’m STILL wondering why some units cannot have 24 hr and garage access set up?!!? Seems very illogical. And inconvenient to always have to ask staff to open garage door for me since it’s difficult for me to do stairs, and not doable with heavy items which I need to use a cart. Waste of time for both of us. Can’t they just set up a code for me to access the garage bay? I asked about this and the guy working said I’d have to speak to the gentleman who left and I suggested we call him and he said he wouldn’t answer. Not good customer service. Very frustrating! I also encountered another customer who also had a big column in her storage unit and was also not warned. The guy working said they didn’t know which units had these. The map or computer system seems very outdated & inefficient as he had no way to search for other available units of the same size he said. WTF?!!? I would be very reluctant to recommend this place to a friend unless they wanted a lot of hassles potentially. Unfortunate.
