The Uhaul that we picked up at this location had the gas line cut. We did not know this until we arrived in Cheshire as there was enough gas in the tank to get us that far. The lady who checked us in was very nice however we are extremely disappointed that the equipment was not in working order. We waited for 4 hours for a resolution which was a hardship for our trip. Do to piss poor management and not checking a customer out the correct way. I received several calls and texts stating my rental wasn't back on time. When in all actuality it was returned two hours before it was supposed to. I wouldn't recommend this location not U-haul to any of my friends or relatives.VERNON M.

This facility doesn't have an elevator to carry furniture down to the basement. Neither does have a dumpster where to dispose broken furniture. I had a $2,000.00 piece of furniture that didn't fit on the conveyor to bring it down to my storage unit in the basement. Trying to carry it down the stairs, it got broken. When I tried to dispose of it in the dumpster, the attendant tried to tell me that I couldn't use the dumpster for it. I couldn't bring it down to my storage unit, didn't fit in my vehicle, what was I supposed to do with it? I broke it in pieces and dumped it, against his objection because I considered it was irrational. I didn't have other option.Victor M.

When I arrived my checkout was quick and the man was pleasant. He also assisted me in putting the dolly I rented on the pick up truck and secured it. When I returned the truck later in the evening I didnt even have to go in. The man met me outside, checked the vehicle, and even asked me how my day was. The customer service displayed by these men was excellent. They both were friendly, personable, and are definately an asset to the company. The truck rental work in proper fashion. This is the second time I rented from Uhaul and had to call roadside assistance and had to bring the truck back earlier than the time contracted to have it. So unreliable with their trucks. Not a satisfied customer.LISA R.

I picked up the rental and got it home. The low oil pressure warning was lit and the gauge read low oil pressure. I called the location I took it from and was told there was no one there to come and look at it and if I could bring the truck back and get another one which I did. This cost me extra time in my move. After I finished my move and returned it I found out in the receipt on my phone that I was being charged for 2 rental periods. I did get stuck in traffic and ran over the estimated time I needed the truck but I don't think I should have to pay for another rental period since I did not complain about having to bring the first truck back.Timothy A.
The check in process is still lengthy, even doing it all online. The picture taking can take place in advance. And the vehicle inspection is tough in a bad service area. I lost the WiFi because the van was too far away from the building. Maybe keep the vans closer to take advantage of the WiFi.PAUL D.

The staff that helped me with the trailer was Excellent. He was knowledgeable of all products, was helpful, & made me feel comfortable although I was nervous driving the trailer. Another male staff also helped me with practicing how to drive the trailer. I think it's disappointing that I had to pay extra mileage costs to travel because my local Naugatuck U Haul store didn't have any trucks available the 3 times I tried to rent there. Each time I was trying to rent at least a week in advance. Having said that the Waterbury location was great, all the people were easy to deal with and knowledgeable. ThanksROBERT T.

The truck I rented ran noisily and did not accelerate, making my move tedious. God knows if I used more gas due to that. I was on a time constraint and it made it stressful. The inside cab had small pieces of litter in the console and the floor was dirty.Lori M.
I was forced to rent the Uhaul an extra day because the ubox wasn't available and when I called Uhaul to discuss the mileage I was advised they would take care of it and they didn't. So what you can do is address the issues your customer has and keep you promises.WAYNE M.

In a pandemic I would have expected the steering wheel and door handles to be clean and they were filthy. The facility was understaffed and the attendant helping us was literally running around helping people and it took 30 minutes to get the truck even having checked in online.Kimberly L.

Arrived 1/2 hour early for my reserved truck, waited in line only 5 minutes as Taygen finished serving 2 customers ahead of me (one couple quite stressed about moving). After watching her customize those 2 rentals, I merely told Taygen my move details and allowed her to make suggestions and slight changes to my reservation. Her advice saved me a second trip, and the slightly larger truck, handtruck and blankets made for a much easier and faster move. Thanks, Taygen. Truck turn-in was convenient and quick.
