The agent had an attitude and the process was anything but enjoyable. It was 8:00 in the morning when we attempted to get the truck via mobile app. Once that didn't work, another agent took over and said by the way, you need a third person that we can contact in case you don't return the truck. Hello! Why didn't the website tell us that during our reservation process? Like WHO is going to answer an 800 number at 8:00 on a Saturday? Nobody, that's who. So, as expected, my sister did not answer the call from UHaul, so I had to call her and say please answer. She didn't answer my call either until awhile later. This is the most ridiculous reservation system on the planet. Frankly, I've never had a good experience at ANY UHaul store. This was the worst ever.STANLEY S.
When I closed out my storage unit, I received a call from one of your associates telling me that I had cut my lock off of the unit. I stayed that he was wrong in his assumption and asked why would I do that. His response was, they do it all of the time. At thAt point I lost it! The nerve of him to accuse me of something that I hadn't done. When I got a break from my work, I drove back over to your facility to explain to him that he shouldn't ever accuse someone of wrongdoing if you don't have the backing of solid evidence. I told lock with me to show him that it hadn't been cut off. I don't appreciate him saying that an told him that my phone records every conversation that I have because it's my work phone. 1. The "pre-reservation" is false. I provided information and the counterman had to re-enter all data, including pictures of ID. 2. The pre-reservation does not say anything about other contact info. On a sunny Saturday, my other contacts are busy and did not phone calls from counterman with stranger phone calls (even (or especially!) UHaul = spam phone calls). The pre-reservation could have asked for contact info before. OR BETTER-- don't bother family, friends, business supervisors, and neighbors unrelated to my rental contract. 3. The call for secondary contact is nonsense, of course. I use AirBNB often and not even they require condescending secondary contact phone calls. I can live in another person's HOUSE without those annoying phone calls. 4. The countermen interrupted me. One was talking with me, I asked a question, a secondary (overweight unshaven white man eating at the counter) man interrupted my question. NEVER interrupt a customer. Grow up and learn how people have civil conversations. NEVER interrupt the customer. I actually had rented a truck at the same location about two years ago and the counter experience and it was negative, throughout. I had hoped that this recent encounter would have been more positive and used the pre-reservation ... which was totally ignored and useless. I will never use UHaul again. Fortunately, we have several alternative services for such rentals. I will use those alternatives for all usage. I'll be sure that I copy all this information in multiple social platforms such as Yelp and Google Map.Bruce M.

When I went to drop off the truck they â€œkey drop boxâ€ was not by the front door. I could not find it. I did not want to just leave the key and it get stolen so I took it home with me for the night. I was told to drop the truck off by 9. I had dropped off the night before because I was finished. I came before 9 to drop the key off and the employee was so rude to me. He snatched the keys out of my hand. And when I told him that I couldn't find the dropbox he very aggressively ran to the garage door and put the garage door down and started yelling and pointing at the key slot saying it's right there it's right there. I didn't even have to have the truck back until nine and I have the truck and keys there by 8:50. No paying customer should ever be treated like that. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I booked at a specific location and was not contacted to confirm that the location was switched. I was sent to another location and told that they were open and they were not. I couldn't get in touch with anyone so I went back to the first location and they were so kind to help me get in touch with someone and was finally sent to a location that had the truck available.Raneisha F.

I was double charged, we had to return the original closed in trailer as it was vibrating us all over the place, upon return found out that it was a one way. The wrong return time was on the receipt, the lady said that she would fix it i the system, I trusted her that she would and she did not. We picked up at 10ish, we told her 12 hours , she had return time of 8ish, when we dropped and checked out on line the fee was doubled. We did not finish the online check in. I had to take time out of my schedule to return and explain the situation. My credit card had already been processed for 2 transactions. We did not receive new paperwork on the second trailer but was charged for 2 trailers. I work from home during this pandemic and had to take away from my schedule to go up to the place to get it resolvedSEAN M.

The first two times when I came in to purchase boxes, tape, equipment and to book my truck and services the young ladies at the desk were amazing. Very friendly and helpful with positive attitudes. The 3rd time on my moving day neither me or my family members had a good experience. Monica Durbin made the experience awkward. When we walked in she stared at my nephew whom is very tall and and black male. He is only 19 and that made him and I both very uncomfortable. He came into the location with me because he was helping me move. Don't know why she felt the need to stare at him like he didn't belong but it was odd. I think maybe this company should do a bias training for their employees. Also I originally arranged for 2 dollys. Her and the other gentlemen there @ 10:50 am on Friday 2/26 informed me that they didn't have any dolly's even though I reserved 2. I thought that was very inconsiderate of this location not to take reservations seriously because obviously that would be a major inconvenience to me, to have my movers move heavy boxes with their hands, which would ultimately delay my total move. Those 2 employees were very unfazed and unapologetic about the mishap. They just kept repeating they are all gone. Of anything the man was condescending and told me I hadn't paid for anything just reserved it. He then told me he'd check for another truck that had to go to the shop and was able to find me one out of 2. I had to go to another location to rent a dolly just because of the lack of organization at this location. When I told them this location ran out of them they thought it was strange and unprofessional. I've used this location when I moved 3 years ago without a problem but I most certainly won't be back.NICHOLAS K.

Received the truck almost on Empty. Returned the truck the same day I rented it, when It was due Sunday which was 2 days later . I've rented 5 or 6 trucks in the past. Charged 29 dollars when I returned it at the same fuel level I received it at. No one could find out exactly why, charged my card 59 dollars for a late fee. I stored my things from 2016-2020 the increase every few months for “pest control” was ridiculous especially when I cleaned out my initial unit 219 and saw several dead mice. Some had eaten through some of my belongings. Then I moved to a smaller unit 226 because I only had a few things to store and after only being in that unit a month you charge an increase for “pest control” . Thank fully I no longer need your services because you definitely price gauge and don’t deliver. When I called to see what what was going on still not clear. Walked in and another lock was on the storage that wasn't mine I apparently got charged for. Had to talk to someone again.
