The staff was great, but my stuff had mouse droppings and there was poplar seeds all over the inside of the compartment
Everything was great about this storage facility except for one thing: We found rodent feces on the floor of our unit once we moved everything out.
I had a storage unit for my landscaping trailer and landscape equipment. Every time I tried to access my unit, it was blocked by Uhaul trucks. EVERY time. In order to get my trailer out, I had to go to the office (if it was open), ask them to move their trucks, wait for someone to move 2-4 trucks, and then gain access. This procedure had to be repeated when I returned to put my trailer back. I asked the office people to please not use the entrances to the storage units for a parking lot but was told that's where they had to park them. I emailed a manager more than once about this problem but nothing changed. I was paying more than 240.00 per month for a unit I couldn't get anything out of without the hassle I just mentioned. And mine wasn't the only blocked unit, the Uhaul trucks block lots of them, so I'm sure other people have the same frustration. I also had rented a climate-controlled indoor unit and had no problems with that one. The only reason I also moved out of that one is because of the problems with my outdoor unit and I wanted to keep both units at one place. I have since moved to a different storage company and have had no problems. They couldn't believe the way your Uhaul facility was operating by parking 24' trucks in front of storage unit doors

Other than the problem with my billing, everything was good.
Excellent staff and clean facility
Excessively high & unauthorized billings made this the worst U-Haul experience for me. Justin (Asst Mgr) moved me into a 5'x5' space which actually was 4'x41/4', which he verified. He offered to rent me a bigger spaced for a 20% discount at $57.95, I interpreted this as an at least 5'x5' or a bit larger space. (I'd moved out of another space in a different state so I knew how my items should fit in that size space. That space cost only $62.90/mo., including insurance, much less than $82.50.) Also, the electronic card/keypad code didn't work on move-in day (6/14/2020 or for a few days following, setting off the deafening alarm. Then Justin (Asst. Mgr.) & Matt Driscoll (Gen Mgr.) offered me a larger space with a 20% discount, but didn't clarify this would be at my expense. There was an additional unexpected unauthorized billing 5 days later for $13.19 on June 19, 2020 for a total of over $95 for June, 2020. After a discussion with Justin, there was a credit of , then another unauthorized billing to my credit card for $98.48, then another billing for $113.48 July 18, 2020. I have had to contact my credit card bank for assistance. I felt I had to move-out immediately after discovering these unauthorized charges on my credit card, which seemed to get worse with on-site efforts to clarify the price per month. I have moved out. I rented at the same location in the past with a different manager. There were no billing problems. There were problems with break-ins, especially over a snowy, icy winter with the front gate inoperable for a period of time. A U-Haul lock from a previous location also got stuck at the June, 2020 rental, which I replaced with another disc lock I purchased elsewhere. I mentioned this to Matt Driscoll. There seem to have been some other issues causing tension which I don't understand.
I moved in a month ago. I got a call from the office asking if I moved out. I said I just moved in. They said don't worry about it, it was a computer glitch. I asked if I needed to do anything they said no. Then my entry code stopped working. I stopped in the office to see why and they had to move me in all over again. What a waste of time and lost revenue for your business! Totally avoidable
Generally happy with the facility. My only complaint while the lockers are supposed to be available at 9:00 am often I would have to buzz the office at 10 or 10;30 to open the door.This mostly occurred on Saturday/Sunday. Probably when management was not around. The process to get someone to answer the buzzer and come to open the door took as long as 15 minutes. I deducted two stars because of poor access on weekend.
Customer service during evening hour accused me of living about a ten dollar lock and I refused to do business with them. Should teach them manners and business etiquette
They over charged and gave me a run around, the GM was very ignorant!!

I moved my stuff out of storage with 14 days left that I had paid for. I called to see if I could get a refund for the remaining days because the amount would be about $45 dollars. The rep I talked to did not know and said she would call me back. But she never did. Could I please get a refund for the remaining 14 days? Thank you, Virginia Rhinerson. The staff do not understand the swipe card operation, or cannot articulate it to customers. It took multiple calls to reserve our storage unit. A couple of the young guys are a bit unkept- one with long, dirty fingernails. Overall not a good experience. Closing it out was the best experience— and we were very glad to be done with it.
my unit was behind a gate that you needed a card to access. The card never worked and none of the employees could figure out how to fix it so I had to wait for an employee to open the gate always.
Everything was great! They even stayed the few extra minutes after hours we needed to finish loading up.
No issues. Since we could only go during business hours (9-5), sometime U-haul trucks made it difficult to get in. Clean facilities, always carts to use, and great staff.
Jeremy the employee who helped me out was very kind. I was greeted and offered assistance right away. He was very thorough and helpful throughout the process of renting a unit.
Had unit for 1 free month for renting a truck. Offer made on website & by UHaul in Pittsburgh. Erie facility kindly accommodated but had no idea of the promotion. Corporate must communicate better.
The U Haul staff member was very fast & efficient. He walked with me to the storage locker, showed the locker and showed me how to use the lock. He was very good.
The first day I went and purchased a 10x15 climate controlled unit and when the employee took me back the unit already had a lock. NOT enough space to explain the multiple problems I had!!!

Needed it open later. Hard to spend time in unit at first because the lights kept turning off. On a timer. Was late on a payment and they were still courteous until I got it taken care of. Very nice.

Hours listed should reflect the actual access hours - I was once locked into the building by a staff member (who knew I was there) 15 minutes before closing time and had to use an alternate exit.
Very helpfull and professional staff. And the prices are great. I would highly recomend U Hall. They also got the best prices on propane

I had a unusual situation and the staff was very polite and helpful. Every person I dealt with was professional. I will use this facility again.
Store seems understaffed. Some patrons had a long wait for service. Service is fine when your turn comes.

When I was leaving the unit next to mine had roaches coming out of it. When I was checking out the kid was rude and could have cared less about it.

It would have been easier to check in/out of the facility if I could have had the option of a scan on my car or something so I wouldn't have had to reach so far to type in my code.
Dealt with multiple staff and all are professional. Truck in nice shape. Only thing we don't like is the storage space with a door that does not stay open all the time so it can hit us if it falls

I ordered 10*15 drive-up locker for $144 onUhal.com.When I got there,was told they don’t have it,N changed a10*10 interior to me,which price is $107, but still charged me $140.Typical COMMERCIAL FRAUD
I wouldn’t use your faculty again.. I had a number of items chewed and mouse poo all through my things. Obviously the black box either needs refilled and isn’t checked.
The U Haul office was very helpful and accommodating when we needed to extend the rental period. I can recommend this U haul dealer.
Employee was watching videos on his phone when I first walked in. He didn't welcome me; I had to approach him. He was very short, unprofessional & gave the impression that he didn't want to be there.

Personel working there did not appear to know what they were doing outside of Tyler the manager. We were double billed for one of the 2 units we were renting and mistakenly charged a late fee.

I paid for my unit and the lock was not taken off and i had to wait in line for an hour just to get someone to take the lock off. Then there were 5 trucks in front of the door and i couldn’t evengetin
Our unit got infested with rats and the staff made us clean it up and also charged us more than we were supposed to pay. They then put an extra lock on our locker so we couldn't get in.

I rented a Unit for Ten Yrs, had no problem, with the Unit or the Staff, very Nice People to do Business with.
I reserved a 10ft wide unit and I ended up with two 5 ft units; which isn't a big issue other than the confusion that resulted and an issue with getting two locks.
NEEDS MORE EMPLOYEES! Every time I went in I stood in line for approximately 10 minutes before being helped. They also helped people that came in AFTER me before helping me.
I accomplished what I came in for. That is what I'd expect to happen.

I’m a night person and on weekends especially Sundays I would have liked to come around 7,8 o’clock to look for stuff in my unit. The staff was very helpful when I had a problem with my credit card

Wouldn't allow me access to one unit because I was late on another unit. Had to have them remove locks even though I was current on both units. All around bad experience. Too expensive for the service

Excellent staff! Only suggestion is maybe a master key for the locks..so customers like myself who misplace...might be able to pay $50 for removal vs $100 by a locksmith 😉.

The hallways / facility look clean but my unit had a lot of blue mice pee & droppings in the unit & empty bait box..Lot of clean up needed. On move out, I found a mummified dead mouse. Gross!
We were using a 10 x 10 storage unit in the temp. controlled area and could not have been happier with the cleanliness and temp. maintenance in this area.
I was comfortable leaving my items in the storage unit. I was confident that they would be safe and protected from theft and the elements in the climate controlled unit.
