The lady that booked my reservation in woodland changed it to a sacramento location. Then the size of the truck was wrong and smaller which made my move harder. Then they messed up on how many days I needed the truck and called me in the middle of my move to bring it back. I will never use uhaul again after this experience. Your company made my move harder and more stressful.

I think the only thing would be is to always have two employees available when checking back in. Instead of one employee manning the in store counter and truck check in. Other then that GREAT experience!!!

there was confusion regarding the delivery date and a phone call was made on November 2 asking why the trailer was not delivered. another phone call was received the next day and I was told I had until 5 pm November 3rd to deliver the trailer. when I arrived at the location, the associate said they would have to charge another day, but changed that after checking the contract.

The young lady that helped us was extremely friendly and helpful. She was fairly new and had to make several phone calls to be able to process my transaction mostly correctly. The only thing I would suggest is make sure they are comfortable alone before being scheduled alone. But she never gave up trying to problem solve for me.

Very slow service. I was there on 10/31 and spent about 1.5-2 hours at the store between pickup and drop-off for my rental of 2 hours. Some of the employees were not knowledgeable of their job. I was double charged for my furniture pads and CDW. I did not receive the fuel credit of 31 dollars as promised after I filled the Empty tank with 1/4 tank of gas. I was told I would be contacted by a manager on 11/2 to issue a refund of the charges made in error, as well as the fuel credit. I have not been contacted yet. I am extremely dissatisfied.

We originally reserved a 20ft Uhaul, only to be told a day before our move date that it hadn't been returned. Then we were told we could rent a 26ft Uhaul, only to be told it was rented out in the 30 second phone conversation that occurred. We were then forced to use a 15ft truck to move a 4 bedroom house. Very poor customer experience.

The van I picked up was clean on the inside but the entire front was covered in runny med streaks and bird droppings. Also after returning the van ahead of the time due and the tank fuller than I picked it up, Uhaul tried charging my debit card again for reasons unknown. The charge declined because I had spent the last of the money in my account renting the van, but hopefully Uhaul won't try and charge my card again when my direct deposit goes through.

Terrible experience I had reserved for a 15' truck and trailer combination weeks in advance for my move. I wasn't notified until The DAY BEFORE I was supposed to pick up equipment that my location not only changed but I had to drive 45+ minutes away from the requested location for the truck. Had to drive 30+ minutes to another completely separate location for the trailer. Adding 2hrs to my experience completely messing up my initial plans and adding unnecessary stress to my move. Would never use Uhaul again.

Nothing. When I went into the location the previous Sunday to buy boxes and arrange a truck for the following Saturday, the process of going through the call center and was given the pertinent info to call. The lady that helped me through the call center was polite and knowledgeable. At the location, one of your employees Kathy Saterlee came in on her day off specifically to help my driver get acquainted with the vehicle and helped set up the mirrors. Very well done!

I rented a car trailer. Worked great but was not clean found a bolt and hose clamp from previous tow still on the trailer that could have fallen off and hit another vehicle.

Truck was below E and when I went to put in 20.00 which gas gadge never moved and there was no gas cap. I did tell them when returned truck and was told no problem they've had issues w people taking gas @ night

the steering wheel was off, the steering wheel was slightly turned to the left. the alignment was off, the truck was constantly moving to the right. me and fiance drove like this all the way from san francisco to texas. the passengers seat window had like a air hole so the whole trip the cab was very noisy with wind sounds. the break pedal would stick down for a few seconds on immediately go back up. it was a very crazy and scary journey.

Our utility trailer was stolen. When asked prior for extra security, wheel locks anything to keep it safe the Uhaul employee says there was no sort of equipment for this. Uhaul did get there trailer back while we had All our items stolen!

Your Oakland, CA Operations Center is extremely helpful. I had to go to another location to pick-up the trailer, because all equipment in the Bay Area was rented out. The Oakland operations center walked me through the process. They called me a day ahead of time and located another trailer.

When i picked up my truck the gas was siphoned out of it so I immediately had to get gas. The workers at the location said it is a common thing. There should be some way to stop people from siphoning gas from the trucks.

Original reservation was meant for one way. When I arrived Saturday morning to pick up, I was told that they do not have one way trucks. My cost for rental increased from about $98 to $189. The money isn't the real issue. The customer service was troubling. There was a lot of inappropriate language in front of customers.

Employees were not wearing masks and not requiring patrons to wear masks either. Employees were approaching customers, including myself, without wearing masks and in no way adhering to social distancing guidelines. I was not directed to the location of my van, rather I had to ask someone where it was when I went outside only to find it parked by the road with a cardboard advertisement in the windshield and about a month's worth of dirt and grime plastered all over the vehicle no doubt from passing cars and trucks. The interior of the vehicle was otherwise clean. Furthermore the professionalism of one of the employees at this location was no less than alarming. A few minutes after walking through the door an employee called a customer to inform him that a reservation he had made for a one way trip with a van could no longer be honored because vans only go 2 ways. This may be the case but to not honor a previous reservation seemed unfair to this individual who was rightly confused. Moreover, after hanging up the phone with this customer, who was due to arrive in store at any moment, she proceeded to tell her customers that she was going to post a blurb to her Facebook describing why a customer should purchase the insurance for their vehicle to avoid these sorts of incidents, an incident that appeared to be the fault of UHaul. I have already reached out to the UHaul customer support line concerning this matter. From now on I think I'll use the Davis, CA UHaul location to conduct my business or pay a friend. I will not be recommending to my friends to use this location out of concern for the safety as well as their sanity.

More attentive and prompt customer service: Representatives did not have a high regard for the time spent by customers checking out/renting equipment. Most importantly, U-Haul corporate needs to address the online truck return application. URGENT: ONLINE/MOBILE APP NOT COMPATIBLE WITH ANDROID CAMERA. When trying to take the pictures that the mobile truck return application prompts you to take to create a record of the condition of the truck upon return; the application does not readily accept images taken with an android phone (See: Moto G7) though it seems to work fine when using Apple/iOS devices. This is huge issue, as I spent over 1.5 hours, after-hours, trying to return my truck with no luck. It was not until a pair of strangers allowed me to use their iPhone that I was able to successfully get the application to accept the pictures I took of the vehicle; even though the angle, framing, lighting, and general quality of the photos was not substantially different between the android device and the Apple device.

Terrible customer service. Two people working during a large university moving day happening. Customers not wearing mask. Waited 60 min in line but had to return the equipment at the original return time (even though I picked the equipment up 60 min late due to Uhaul delay) and was told if late to return I would be charged $100 extra. Poor planning and poor customer service!

The truck worked fine, but the bed was still dirty and the inside smelled like tobacco smoke. I didn't notice the dirt or odor at first because it was dark and my sense of smell is bad, but it was obvious the next day. Also, the service was extremely rude when I returned the truck on Friday afternoon around 7pm. My friends were waiting in the lot to pick me up after I returned the truck. I was in the truck maybe 5 minutes behind them because I stopped to get gas. A U-Haul employee (Short, female, maybe reddish hair) approached my friends in their car, and asked what they were doing and if they were waiting for someone. One friend answered yes and one answered no. One friend is foreign (First language Brazilian Portuguese) thought the employee meant waiting for someone inside the building. Since I was not in the building, he said no. The employee was then extremely rude and said something about “well you two are giving different answers, so are you waiting for someone or not!” My friends felt attacked. I also don't know what the point of this inquisition was, since there were in their car and only taking up one space in a huge empty lot. I am sure it is not uncommon to have friends waiting in a second car to pick up U-Haul customers after they return their vehicles. I arrived a few minutes later and the same woman was also very rude and brusque to me about the car return process. She repeatedly told me to “just leave the keys in the door.” I was confused because the U-Haul app told me to park the truck in a certain area and take a picture, but then she yelled at me to just leave it in the line because she had to disinfect it. She was just ordering me around, and she was not listening and answering my actual questions. I understand that she was the only one working, but that is not an excuse to be rude and yell at me and my friends. I am very disappointed in this experience. This employee needs to work on her attitude and customer service skills. I had already had a difficult time with moving complications and this woman made my day even worse and more difficult. I hope I get a response from U-Haul about this.

I rented a enclosed trailer and made the reservations on he 16th of August. When I went to pickup the trailer the person at the desk informed me the enclosed trailer is rented and they do not have anymore. The entire day was a disaster. I only hope I do not have to rent another trailer from you again.

I am rating this location average because we requested to opt out of the insurance for the trailer. When we noticed, they offered to try and remove it. We watched them attempt it and said the computer was having issues processing it and to call customer service. Not worth it for $8, but this seems like something uhaul as a company needs to not make automatic or default. Otherwise, location and people were nice

My pick up appointment was at 1pm. Luckily, I was serviced promptly. The truck was ready to go and it had 3/4 of a tank of gas. The person who assisted me (Andrew?) was professional and patient. Overall process was efficient and smooth. In addition, I was lucky to be able to book the truck since inventory was low due to evacuations (from CA fires) and people moving out of CA (one way rentals). Words of advice, book as far ahead as possible to get the desired truck size and at the preferred pick up location. Also, one way rentals could end up cheaper. Do the math. If I had followed my own advice, I probably could have saved around $50.

The girl behind the counter was very rude and I had to park the trailer myself and unhook it with no help or direction. The girl wanted the trailer parked along the fence but it has a slope which made the trailer roll forward when it was disconnected from the hitch. My wife had to hold it with me so it didn't smash into the back of my car. VERY DANGEROUS!

The gas was siphoned from the tank, it an hour to check out through the app, and I was given a call about my van being returned an hour late but it was not. I was then charged for an extra day. Awful experience. Absolutely awful.

Truck wasn't there when I got there - fortunately the person found another truck so I had to cut my time to use the truck by 3 hours - no thanks from anyone. They made it seem like it was my fault for renting the truck 4 days earlier. Then the next morning a total Bee with and Itch called threatening me if I didn't bring the truck back by 12 she was going to fine me. Then she asked how I got the truck - OMG Really DO NOT GO TO this place in WOODLAND They SUCK!!! Go to the other one on Beamer - I rented from her and she was GREAT The one on Tide Circle - losers!!!!
