This location hooked up the wrong dolly for our vehicle at first, we were almost ready to leave when someone else realized it was the wrong one...a delay that cost us about 30 minutes of drive time. Then the correct one had to have a ratchet replaced we had to wait on them to install, which was apparently installed incorrectly, because every time we stopped all the way to Texas the straps were completely loose...we were grateful the chains were holding it on or we would have had a serious problem.

Our only complaint was the decal on the glove box reflected in the passenger side mirror so bad you couldn't see cars near you. All you could see was the decal reflection! Very dangerous for all. We think the decal should be moved to below the glove box or somewhere where it doesn't reflect in the mirrors.

Awful customer service, charged us $161 when we had a truck for one day and drove 30 miles!! I was transferred to at least 6 different people and still have no answer as to WHY we were charged so much. They claimed we had the truck for 2 days when we had it for 9 hours! I will never EVER use uhaul again!!!

The truck was dirty and the gas gauge was on E. I was told I would be credited for the oversight but was not. There was a bad smell. I had to clean the front before I could go anywhere. My reservation was for Kittitas, but the company told me I wouldn't be able to get a truck there. I had to go another 43 miles each way out of my way to pick up the truck and take it home to load, which caused me to go over on my miles and get chared an EXTRA $14. I have always been happy with Uhaul, but every step of this process this time was unacceptable.

Was supposed to have a 15' truck, then told they didn't have that so got upgraded to a 20' truck. Then we were told that was in the shop and all they had was a 26' truck. We took that one because we had no other choice but I'm not super happy about the extra gas money I had to spend, especially because that truck was ELEVEN feet bigger than the one I was originally supposed to have and we were driving four hours away.

I was told I had up to certain time to return but was called several hours before that deadline stating it neede to be returned before and that another client was waiting. Nevertheless, the manager was willing to rent me truck for an extra day. Also, they wrote on the contract the fuel was 3/8 full but the truck only had 1/4 full. Upon return they did not charge the penalty that would have applied so they did believe me. A few days before I also rented a truck with no problems whatsoever so it seems to depend on who attends you at the time.

This is the only location I would recommend to anyone thinking of using U-Haul. The manager, Monica Howard, is a ROCK Star. She has exceptional customer service skills and was more than eager to help me and willing to work with me to get a truck. I was jacked around on my initial reservation which was a 26ft truck for 2 days to be picked up at 4;30 on June 2nd. When I called to let them know I was on my way to get my truck I was told by the person at the location that my reservation had been moved as the location didn't have a truck. I reserved a truck and was told it would be there. He gave me a number to call about the change and the person who answered told me they had to move my reservation as they didn't have a truck. I was told that I should have been informed that U-Haul trucks were in great demand and there was limited availability but that is not what I was told when I reserved the truck and gave them my credit card number. When I inquired as to where it was moved, figuring another location in Yakima so I could pick it up, I was told my truck was waiting for me in Spokane, WA which is over 3 hours from Yakima! And, I would have to drive to pick it up and pay $.89 per mile for the drive BACK to Yakima once I got it. When I explained that was over a 6 hr round trip and I would be out the expense of personal driving and paying for mileage, I was told this was not the customer service representatives problem but if I wanted a truck that may be my only option. When I pushed further, I was informed I could have a truck for unlimited miles but I would also have to drive to go get it, in Sunnyside, WA! This is over an hour roundtrip but it was my only option. It was now 5:00pm and Budget, Penske & Ryder were closed and I had 10 people lined up to start moving 2 households.... I was at the mercy of the incompetence of the reservation/customer service reps for U-Haul. I told the person on the phone I had no choice but I expected her to call the Sunnyside location to confirm the truck was there so I didn't waste my time driving there only to find there was no truck. She insisted at least 3 times the truck was there, she was looking at it and it was already reserved in my name. I could have it for 2 days with unlimited miles but I had to be there before 5:45pm as they would close at 6:00pm. So, I was off to Sunnyside to get my truck at Teto's Car Toys only to arrive and be told there was NO TRUCK and there wouldn't be until Saturday at 5pm!! He informed me that U-haul had double booked the truck and he didn't know why they told me to drive there to get the truck. I drove back to Yakima and in a desperate attempt to get a truck figured it was worth a shot to go to the South 1st St location. What did I have to lose at this point? I couldn't move without a truck. After explaining everything to Monica she got on the phone, tried to locate a truck for me, found that the Sunnyside truck was actually rented to a "walk-in" as the person didn't b

I booked this Uhaul over one month in advance and asked for an 8am pick up time because we had family that were going help us move. I called 4 days prior to confirm and was told that it was fine to pick up at 8am. The day before our scheduled pickup the time was changed to 3pm. This messed up our plans. Very disappointed with this service. I will not use again and will not recommend to friends.

I reserved and checked in online spent 30 mins at front counter none the less then had to deal with paper work that said tank was full which it was not had to take photos go back in to be told it would be adjusted. I had my paper work initialed and took photos returned truck with more fuel than when departed drove 10 miles total in 17' truck and was charged 92.00 now am having to dispute and fight for reimbursement. Bad customer service, lack luster employees and false documentation If you don't have to rent from here I would recommend you don't.

Reserved a DC and a 5 ×9 trailer to go frome Yakima wa. To Sallisaw Ok. Was told the trailers they owned. 1st, the reservation center based out of Spokane wa, told me 1 day before, that I could drive to Chelan WA to pick it up since they didn't have one. I made this reservation 1 month ahead of time!! Then, she canceled the reservation!! Next, they said I could drive to Sunnyside WA to get the trailer! Unbelieveable! Next, I was offered no compensation for the hassle, trama or anything. This company has gone to crap since I worked for You! I had a family member flying up here the next day to help get me moved home. The call center in Spokane Washington, Cindy, to be exact, was unproffessional, rude and completly unqualified to do her job. Why the he'll was this equipment not staged at the pickup location? I worked for uhual in Medford MA, also in Puyallup Wa..we would make damn sure a reservation, of this size, would be ready for our customers. Pissed! This location does not hold up to the uhual promise of taking care if they're customers. Customers 1st! Fix the problem..compensation would be nice!!

I was told on the phone by the person that I reserved the trailer with initially, at least two weeks before my reservation, that all straps and everything would be provided with the trailer. I rent often enough from U-Haul that I knew better, so my suspicions were raised and I was prepared anyhow. It's time to send a memo out to your representatives!

Peak hours could use more employees. I had a 12:00 appointment and there was only 1 desk attendant and 2 service employees. It took several calls to the back office before another attendant came to help and she wasn't very pleased to help. The attendant that helped me was very helpful and courteous and tried to help others in between waiting on me, which was a great show of multitasking. Overall, was a good transaction. The new service attendant was very nice and helpful.

Clean the vehicle. I had to kill the spider that occupied the console and clean out the cobwebs. The cigarette smell in the van was so strong it burned my eyes. I had to drive with windows open in the rain just to get breath. Even though I checked in online, it took 40 minutes to get my vehicle. The staff at the pick-up location could not understand the charges on the online quote I was then charged for an extra day due to returning it 1 hour late. I will not rent from u-haul again. The initial quote was less than the competitors, but it wound up costing me more. The only reason I rated them as "Average" is because most u-haul locations I have been to are not well run.

In reference to my comments, I am normally very positive, but there were so many difficulties with this rental. I had to make a special trip from my office to pick up the truck due to there not being a truck that size locally. Upon arriving, they said they did not have the 26 foot truck available. The first person to help must have been new and training and the one training must have been ready to lunch. Both were not very helpful nor competent and it took 45 minutes to hear, they did not have a truck that size. After stating that I would not leave without 26 foot, a third person showed up, I'm guessing either a manager or someone who'd been there a long time and within 5 minutes we had keys in hand and were driving away! I was VERY impressed with her assistance!

The open trailer I picked had oil on the floor. At first I though it was just dirty with water in it because it had rained the night before, but as the day warmed up it became clear that it was oil. This made it very dangerous for us to load the bed of the trailer. We had to buy boxes to lay on the bed of the trailer so it would not ruin our stuff. When I brought this to the attention of the person (female) who unhooked us, did not acknowledge that I was even speaking to her. I have never had a problem at this location before. If I was not on a deadline to get my items moved I would have returned the trailer at the beginning. I am not a satisfied customer. Seems to be a atmosphere of apathy among your employees.

2 people at counter like they are digging stuff out from under counter all over the top of counter with not really any room left on counter. Then told that one of us will be out to check you in..... in reality I was waiting for the one person helping customers that was filling 6 propane tanks.... as 10 then 15 minutes go by I see another employee come but he just talked to the one working person and then goes back inside and as he goes in door kicks a $5 lunch box from McDonald's closer to a planter not picking it up, then as I go back in to find out if I was going to get helped I noticed 2 cups and a wrapper in flower pot so I guess the pot with flowers in it is also a garbage can... I guess that is what you get when you have 1 worker and the rest are management..... I had 2 calls with 1-800 and nothing got changed in either call , maybe you should take those recordings of calls and actually use them for proper training opppppssss I guess those are used only against customers not for them......

Well garbage in flower pot, Wendy's lunch box on the ground next to it... counter person says yes one of us will be right out......in truth... I the one person pumping propane will be with you.... no us three will dig under counter looking for something then help someone... and one kicked the lunch box closer to the flower pot.... not even picking it up...... guess you have one worker and the rest are management at this location...... poor....

When checking in the truck after hours the email for the rental said to go to the uhaul web site to get final contract. Not very user friendly. Had to call uhaul on phone. They helped me out quickly.

The advertisements on the vehicles are misleading. Most of the Uhaul vehilce state the fee is $19.99 or the respective price. Consequently when you get into the location and begin your contract you find out it's $19.99 plus mileage. Making the rental at least $50 minimum with the fees. You should have a flat low fee for in town. If you're going long distance over have a fee including mileage.

Was overcharged on March 17, 2017. Before I left the store on the 17th, monica, who identified herself as the general manager, told me the funds were credited back to my account and to wait up til 5 business days to see the credit. Today is April first, I've talked to someone at uhaul corporate who said the funds were never credited back to my account. Monica doesn't respond to phone calls. Just give me My $ back please! !!!!!!!

The only issue that I had is that the last two trucks I have rented had steering issues I believe could've been related to upper and lower ball joint's or tie rod ends other than that my experience was awesome and I would rent them again

Arrived to pick up uhaul - had daughter pick it up. She questioned the size of the trailer. Therefore, the agent was fairly new and called the manager up to assist the transaction. Daughter brought back the wrong size trailer, had I traveled with the 6x12 trailer we would not had made across country alive. The trailer weighed more than my 2013 Ford Mustang Convertible. I took the trailer back and exchanged it for the correct size I had ordered to begin with. When we exchanged the trailer the electrical wiring wasn't working properly. The technician that assisted me noticed the trailer had a nail in the right tire and changed it prior to leaving the Uhaul center. I then get half way home and am pulled over due to my lighting is not working on the trailer. I had the same issue with my last trailer rental when I moved to WA last August. My neighbor is an ASE Certified Mechanic and advised me that when Uhaul had hooked up my Hitch and electrical they spliced my wires. Therefore, every time I would brake to stop I blew a fuse and no lights. He ran a set of electrical wires from the fuse box to the rear of my car to ensure my safety through travel of 3,000 miles. The down side of it all, it cost me $160.00 for this service. Due to the fact he was off of work and advised me of their labor fee at his work, that he'd charge me $80 an hour. Turned out he worked a solid 3 hours and waved the third hour. Needless to say, my lights worked all the way to my destination thank goodness. With the bad weather and white out in Wyoming there could have been a serious accident without any lights.

I made an appointment for Saturday morning at 8AM. Arrived at 7:45. There were 4 customers already waiting. There was only 2 staff working, should have had more people working. The staff that was there was awesome. They were running/working faster than a Les Schawb's employee. : )

I called the 1888 # and made a reservation for a pickup truck to a city West of us. Associate repeated everything I told her and estimated the miles round trip and she repeated it back to me and quoted me $33.** I went to pick up the next morning and I told the Associate in store exactly what the first associate told me and quoted me $87.** I asked why I was quoted such a great difference. Apparently the first Associate mis-calculated the miles to and from the city I was going to by alot. I was pretty upset, because by thisbtime it was too late to make other transportation arrangements. Then I was quoted $.59 per mile. On the way back I noticed the paperwork said $.69 per mile. The associate quoted me the weekday price per mile. I asked if they would honor it because it was after all what I was quoted. She went back and asked her manager. I understand people make mistakes, but it took what seemed like forever for her to return and then another long time for the adjustment. My hubby and 3yr old were waiting in the car, hubby always says, "time is money", so the $8 difference to him was not worth the wait and to say the least he wasn't too happy.

Service from the staff friendly and excellent. The 6 x 12 open trailer was presented to me for rental pick up with 4 - 6 inches of snow and ice in the entire bed. The inconvenience of having to clean the bed took extra time away from my move as once the snow was removed I had to let the trailer thaw from the layer of ice below the snow.

The only issue was, the safety chains would not go through our bumper. We had to go and find some eye bolts because they didn't have the right part. After we did that I went in to pay and found they had the exact same thing in the store. The worker should know what's on hand. Other than that he did a great job!

It'll save lives, people trusting you intend to haul belongings or whatever the case may be with your trailers along with kids and other family members in the vehicle. I was told my 2 children ages 2 and 4, nice and nephew ages 1 and 3, my sister in law, younger brother 15 and myself were lucky to be alive after driving 1190 miles (WA to CA) with a trailer of yours in which had a broken wheel all along!!!

Most of my experience was very fast and pleasant at this location. Someone was waiting right there to inspect the truck when I dropped it off and were friendly and helpful. When I went inside to get my receipt no one acknowledged me (they were assisting phone customers but made new calls before helping me) and it took far too long to just get a receipt than it should have. Overall this was a minor issue.

I booked my reservation online & chose a pick up site near my home. Got a call right away from the reservation center that the location listed online no longer carries trucks, so was give a new location, not too far away. However, upon arrival to the new location, that dealer did not have my truck ready and available for pick up. He was unwilling to help me in finding a replacement, and so I called reservation center from my cell phone. They were more than happy to get me a truck, but it was now clear across town, and charged by the mile. Thankfully I could get a ride across town to get the truck I needed, it just delayed my plans by an hour or so, and kept my movers waiting longer than necessary.

Be truthful. Not deceptive. Be accurate in reporting fuel levels. Disclose costs in normal mathematical terms vs complex new math formulas that rig the system in favor of UHaul. Don't allow customers to lay upon and sleep on boxes that an unsuspecting customer will purchase. Keep your appts. Dont allow remote schedulers to book services when a technician is not available. This applies to the Everett & Lynnwood locations as well. Your lack of concern in delivering customer service is appalling.

Provide more information and details of the rental contract to customer. Like me new to the services Nobody explains how the contract means. I thought 8 have the rental for 24hrs but instead I only have it for 13hrs. It's been booked for another customer I ended up charged 58.00 more. The fuel was not 1/4 filled it's was half way between empty and 1/4. The girl said u should have tell them right away or take a picture of the gage.for 29.99 truck I need up paying $98. When I reserved the truck I wanted it was listed as available at the Yakima location. I received a call 2 days before saying the truck I reserved was not longer available at the Yakima location and would need to drive to Sunnyside were there was the size of truck I wanted at. This is an additional 75 miles round trip out of my way. When I arrived at the location in Sunnyside there was no one at the store. I waited for 30 mins. after the store should have been open and still no one arrived. I called this in and was given the option to take a smaller truck and trailer instead at the same price at the Yakima location. I had also hired a couple of movers to help and had to reschedule the start time because of having to drive to Sunnyside. This was the worst experience I have had with U-Haul and I don't not know if I will want to take the risk of this happening again if I need to move again. If the truck that was in Sunnyside would have been driven to the Yakima location for me to pick up that would have solved all the problems I had with this experience. When I am already driving 5 - 6 hours to get to Yakima in the first place having to drive an additional 1 1/12 round trip out of my way to pick up a truck I had reserved a couple weeks ahead of time at the Yakima location and finding out I have to drive to Sunnyside instead and having no one show up to work was a waste of my time and gas and really pissed me off. I had a very limited time frame to do this and hired additional help with the move which would have cost me more money if the movers would not have been able to adjust their time to accommodate this screw up. When I take the time to reserve a certain size truck to be picked up at a certain location on a certain date I expect that to happen and if something happens that changes things it would be great to know that U-Haul will do want they can to fix the problem such as having the truck I wanted delivered to the location I choose to pick it up at and not having there customers pick it up in a location that is 35 more miles out of the way.

The passenger side mirror was loose and floppy. I was not able to adjust it to see on the right side of the vehicle. I called for repair of the mirror, the repair was not satisfactory. I duct taped the mirror, with little help. Luckily I was able to drive in the right lane of traffic for most of my journey, and did not need to see out the right side very much. This was not safe, but I felt I no choice as the move had to be made that day and there were no replacement Vehicles available.

Dishonest fuel level; pre-charged my for 2 days when I had only requested the uhaul for 1 day. The uhaul I had wasn't safe and had a faulty passenger side mirror, and the gas gauge would not register while filling in increments, so it resulted in me gifting uhaul a 1/4 tank of gas. After reading online, this practice is common and plan on reporting uhaul to customer affairs.

The Ford Transit van I took out was the best U-Haul I have ever driven. It was comfortable and drove more like a car than a van. The backup camera with the lines which show you were you are backing up and how close you are to something is invaluable. All U-Haul trucks should have this. Although the van was clean and comfortable, it was out of alignment and drifted left very heavily when you weren't leaning right on the steering wheel. The staff which checked me in seemed very interested in how well the van performed and were actually thanked me for my business, that's a first.

Front desk person was not very helpful nor had any decent customer service - she did not greet me and avoided eye contact with me. I could hear she was just called on walkie talkie from the outside service person (he was nice and efficient) about my situation but she failed to talk me through any of the hang-ups or issues. After a few minutes (not long) she called a manager and I could hear her say "The notes say it should be through today" but they seemed to be charging me for an extra day. The Manager (I assume? Candra?) came back and she was absolutely great - fixed it in a jiffy. Plus, with eye contact and good customer service (she printed my receipt without me having to prompt her, for example), which was welcomed. I had asked about pricing and why it was $100 over my expected price. They explained that it's charged per day and that's why it was $380 instead of $280. I accepted that explanation but it still doesn't make sense to me. I would have tried to bring it back last night after moving instead of casually this morning had I known! It sounds like this was built-in to the online service and did not explain clearly the "per day" charging so I don't think this aspect of my issue had to do with the staff. I think this may have to do with the SafeMove insurance I purchased and it was not clear that it was a per day charge :(

Your company policy for clients who do not return trucks as contracted is unprofessional. They pay for additional rental time; no one cares. The client to whom the truck is subsequently rented is totally paying the cost, personal and actual, for the failure of contracted performance, by the previous renter. No truck is then available as scheduled for their move. You are over-booking your trucks. You management decisions are unacceptable. A 6 hour delay in the availability of a truck as contracted is absolutely unacceptable.

The contract said the truck had a full tank of gas; I didn't have time to go back once I realized the tank was not full. Knowing I'd get stuck with the exorbitant fees for not returning it with a full tank, I filled it before returning. There was no apology or even any acknowledgement that they gave me a truck not as promised, never mind any attempt to make it right. I left with a bad taste in my mouth and will avoid going there in the future if I can.

the location I was told to pick my trailer up at (732 Summitview Ave) does not have uhauls at all! It is not a uhaul location! I booked a 24' truck for Sunday, 7/24. I called customer service to see if I could pick up the truck on Saturday evening so we could get up early on Sunday to load the truck without the hassle of picking it up. I was told to go ahead and pick it up. When we got to this location to pick up the truck we were informed that we had to bring the truck back by 3:30pm on Sunday. So I booked a truck to move out of town and I'm being told I don't get the truck for the whole day?! My reservation was suppose to be until 6pm on Sunday. We had so many issues with this whole company all together with this move. It's very upsetting. Moving is stressful enough without the truck company giving you the run around.

The tow dollies were not ready to rent. There were several of them at the location and I had to wait for one to be repaired. If they had all been repaired when they were returned from the last rental they would have all been ready to go and I would have been on my way quickly. I worked at United Rentals as a technician and all of our equipment got inspected and repaired after rental's before it showed up as available rental inventory. When a customer shows up at your stores and you rent them a piece of rental equipment, that equipment should be ready to go. The guys who worked on it spent about twenty minutes just looking for one they could repair with the parts they had available to them. I am generally a patient person and I found my self more than a little frustrated with the situation. The guy at the counter did give me extra time on the rental at no charge to make up for the more than thirty minute wait (after my time at the counter setting up the rental). Overall I felt this location was unprepared and the people getting the equipment ready are less than competent. I do not believe they are under staffed, they just don't make efficient use of their time. One person should have been able to look over the tow dollie, go get all the parts needed to fix it and have it ready to hook up in ten minutes time. There was two guys working on it and only one doing the actual work. The second guy could have made better use of his time working on something else (there was a lot of equipment returns sitting out there to be checked in).

My biggest complaint was being under staffed. Two guys against 12 customers was a bit much. Both were very friendly and tried to move as fast as possible.
