The mileage was written lower on the paper than it actually was when I picket up the truck and on the paper it was written a quarter tank of gas when it actually was 2/3 of a quarter tank with gas. I was not happy about that at all, but the rest was ok. I had to fill up more gas than I used and was charged for mileage I didn't use. A full tank of gas and correct mileage would be a great improvement.

No body check the truck before I left. The truck was not full before I left the U-Haul location. When I returned the truck had I had to stand 30 mins before getting checked out. This experience was not what I expected or the type of service I thought I would receive..

There was a hand written message on the back of the contract that stated damage on the roof and potential water issue. The customer accepts responsibility. I was never informed of this issue so I certainly did not accept responsibility for potential water infiltration. It's okay in my case because it was a sunny day but this was deliberately deceiving in my mind. I dropped off the vehicle at 5:00 (which was closing time) fully expecting to use the key drop, which I did. I didn't need to return the vehicle until the next day at 1:00. There was an employee outside that appeared to be cleaning out vehicles. I attempted to extend a greeting but was ignored. When I left in my car I waived at him and he turned his head. Not sure what I did to upset him.

The guys at the shop were fine. I got a confirmation on Friday morning that I would have a truck reserved on Sunday in chambersburg, pa. Saturday evening at 7:30 (after the scheduling Dept is closed) I got a text saying I would be picking up my truck in Hagerstown md. This is unacceptable. I lost over a hundred dollars in wages paid to my movers in the time it took me to drive to Hagerstown and pick up the truck. Not including the extra fuel I had to spend. Also, your customer service lady on Saturday was very rude and transferred me to two other places that were not open.

I went to pick up my U-Haul that I scheduled well in advance and the truck was still not there. This is bad scheduling and bad business. I had planned my move and weekend around this schedule. I asked them to call me ASAP when the truck arrived which they never did. I had to call back in and check to see whether it had arrived already - which it did. Overall poor service but good clean trucks.

1) i scheduled a pick up at 6:00. I completed all the online things that Uhaul says to complete to make the pick-up fast. Well... when I arrived, I had to do all the signing and paperwork and credit card stuff again (this is not the first time and we rent many times). Not sure what I gained by spending extra time completing the online sign-in. If I do the extra work online, then I would expect a 'show-up, show yout license, and drive away'. Re-verifying the drop-off location, running card again, signing lots of stuff, etc... seems excessive. 2) I scheduked for a 6:00 pick-up, and arrived at 6:10. Equipment was not ready. Now, it didn't take long to get the equipment ready, so that is good, but to exceed expectations, if I sign-up for 6:00 pick-up, then it should be hooked up and ready to go. Only had to wait 20minutes so not a big deal. 3) tow trailer needed chains replaced. Not a big deal, but who checked in the equipment and make sure it was ready. Over-all good experience. Not excellent, but good. Still will continue to use Uhaul.

The truck was to old with high miles with to much play in stering had to keep both hands on wheel to keep on road. This is a local moving truck. I had to move my son 150 miles away drove on I95 .

the original location did not have my vehicle. The young lady called scheduling and I was told their wasn't a truck available. I was very upset after being told by U-Haul that a truck would be there. Fortunately the Hagerstown location had a truck come in.

I called and spoke to a customer service representative to reserve my trailer and not once did they mention any insurance when going over the fees. I asked what the total would be and was given a price but upon picking up my trailer found out that it was now double what I was quoted due to the insurance. This information should be given upfront.

I arrived at 10:00 am to pickup my 15 foot van to learn there wasn't a van available. Despite the fact I had a reservation there was NO vehicle. The guy behind the counter worked very hard to do what he could but he really couldn't mitigate the damages. I had movers waiting for me to arrive with a 15 foot van. They walked away when they saw me arrive with a pickup truck. Your failure to provide me with the truck I reserved costs me a great deal of time and money. You need to come up with a better system. How do you make this right? Or do you care?

Did online self service. There was no record of my reservation 2 hours after scheduled pick up. I called a rep who put me on hold with no help for ten minutes. Luckily someone who works there arrived and I got my truck which was promised at 6:30am (confirmed via email) at 9am!!! Not acceptable service at all. Might as well have not done the reservation at all. Never using this company to move again. It was a disaster

coordinate the phone answers with the actual prices. I was quoted $99.30 on the phone and when I arrived I was charged $117. Perhaps some of that was tax. If so, you should say so up front. The gas gauge was marked at above 7/8 but was really slightly below 7/8.

As a female, I was quite skeptical to make this long trip from PA to NC by myself. I needed a 15' truck with a Car Dolly I could handle by myself. I chose the Maugansville location because it was located next to the Interstate. The Personnel there were the nicest, friendliest and most helpful group of men I have ever encountered. They assured me that my equipment was safe to drive and gave me instructions as to maneuver my long load. They were extremely efficient as they went about their daily work, loading, unloading, repairing trucks and getting customers in and out with not a lot of fanfare. I was extremely impressed and will definitely recommend them time and time again. Kurt and George took care of me and my equipment like I was family. Thank you very much for helping me have the confidence with which to make this long trip by myself.

I reserved for a trailer on the 9th to be picked up in waynesboro on the 14th. No one contacted me. The website told me that I was set. I go to the waynesboro location and they have nothing. I had to take time out of this already busy day to drive to hagerstown to get the trailer. And I even had to return it there. This was a huge inconvenience. I reserved it in waynesboro because I was going to be pressed for time. The guys in hagerstown were nice and courteous. The only issue I had was the extra time I had to use to get the trailer and return it. It would have been nice to know this ahead of time.

The owner was super rude to me. After I already had to change pick up and drop off locations and had to switch from a 17' truck to a 26' one because of availability issues when I returned it to the location I followed the green arrows directing me to where to leave the truck to a stop sign that reads "stop here to return truck". I gather my things and start walking in and the owner passes by and starts rudely complaining about how hard I made it for people to get around the truck. I simply said, I followed your signs and parked it where I'm supposed to, it's now your responsibility if you want it move here's the key. Because of that experience I am much less likely to use u-haul, especially this location, or to recommend it in the future.

I would tell the customer about the schedule issue that I had. U-Haul did give me a discount because of the inconvenience of not having my rental truck ready. It was because the people before me didn't return it on time.

Professional and fast service. The van I rented was a Dodge high roof model, brand new with about 3,000 miles on it. It was well designed for moving, allowing queen sized mattresses to stand up straight. It also got great gas mileage. I drove it for 144 miles for $20 worth of gas. I also rented a hand truck and moving pads, which made moving much easier. Your website was well designed. I appreciated the reminders to get the hand truck and pads.

The Maugans Ave. location was great!! The only issue I had was when I scheduled it on-line I scheduled it at a different location and had to be called and told the truck I wanted wasn't available. I picked the original location because it was closer to my house and would have been a couple less miles and saved me money. If a certain truck isn't available at that location then the on-line website shouldn't allow me to choose it.

1) The truck needed some cleaning when we picked it up. 2) I was given the wrong MPG for the truck and was not shown the info button on the truck which would have given me an idea of how much gas I needed to get to my destination and therefore I over bought gas. 3) the truck had no washer fluid or the system didn't work. 4) When we returned our empty boxes, which were obviously unused, they refused our refund because we couldn't find the receipt, in spite of the fact that they knew that we had bought them there.

I paid in full the balance due at the time of picking up the trailer to haul, but when my father drove the trailer back to this Hagerstown location to return it after my move to NJ, one of the employees there came out to meet him and told him that he owed money. The employee kept asking for the money in cash and my dad had to calmly argue for a couple minutes with this guy, finally being able to return the trailer and be on his way - after he told me this, we both think the guy was trying to scam us. Not okay. The only reason I have not brought this up sooner, such as in a survey, is because I've had to be extremely occupied with my new place and new job and everything involved with moving to a new state. In addition, I know that my father and I both know how to handle such situations when they happen, but it was extremely off-putting to have someone of an establishment try something like that. The other people I worked with via phone and in person at U-Haul were fine to work with.

I think the employees should check not only the inside of the the cab of the vans but take a look at the back also this was the only one that had mud rocks and leafs in it I had to clean it out so I wouldn't be charged for it and I rented a lot of vans last year and so far only one this year and it was the only one that was that bad but it will not stop me from going back and renting again the employees were always great to me

On both occasions (scheduling the rental and dropping off) I had to wait for an extended period of time for an individual to come to the desk. I would suggest installing a buzzer of sorts to alert the employees who are in the back that a customer is waiting for service.This has occurred several times in the past as well while waiting to refill propane tanks. Mentioned this as an issue to the employees however, appears to fall on deaf ears. Also, employees aren't permitted to drive a customers vehicle to park a trailer however, the employee is permitted to drive the customers vehicle to install a trailer hitch. Would suggest clarifying this rule a bit more as many individuals are not well suited to parking a trailer.

After stopping in myself and making my reservation when I arrived my reservation could not be found. I was told I was lucky the van I reserved was there.He quoted me a different price and I figured I'd deal with that later ( it worked out the same ) After doing all the paperwork I was handed the key.. I went out and it was dark and rainy and I had to sit there 20 minutes figuring out the lights wipers gears etc !!!! Come on...EXPLAIN the equitment The tire pressure light was on and I was told just add air !!! I'll never come back !!

Employees John Howard in Hagerstown Cheryl Mead in North Charleston were wonderful. Ubox system still has kinks to work out. Wouldn`t recommend for long distance moves.
