Very disorganized. They started my contract and the agent walked away and didn't return. I waited fir 10 min and then another agent started to help and then told me they didn't have the van I reserved online. Then she printed my contact and said let's go outside because she gave me the Van that was for someone else and the keys are in the cup holder and she walked away. No keys to be found so I noticed the agent that started helping me first at the propane station so I asked him if he had the keys to the van and he said yes in my pocket. Wow!David M.

No my trailer had stuff dried on the walls and on the floor. I took a blower to clean mine out. Maybe just a quarter cup of dirt n stuff. Staff was friendly and efficient considering the times at both pick up and drop off. Would need a power washer to really clean it outGregory R.

There is a one way next to the store. I believe it's 43rd street. There is no ONE WAY sign when you are leaving the facility. Adding a sign there will prevent accidents or people exiting uhual and going the wrong way.Baptist L.

I Had made a reservation online. I was given a broken furniture dolly. The wheels had tape around them. There were on tie downs in the bag. Both of these items caused a difficulty with placing the furniture in the truck safely, and not having a functioning furniture dolly made transporting heavy items back breaking.Lillian P.

The employee who checked me out wasn't very competant. I spent way too much time there than I wanted. When moving the trailer to my truck, he hit my trailer with another trailer. â€œOops.â€ He said. I took photos to ensure I didn't get charged for it. I also took photos of how DISGUSTINGLY dirty it was... inside and out. Absolutely filthy. If I had returned it in the condition I received it, I would have been fined. I was about to leave when I reminded him to remove the lock off the back. Yeah, that would've been a great way to start my trip... Trailer behaved great though. No issues.Brandon W.

I was upset b/c I reserved a 20' truck at a location closer to where I needed it. I had to pay for an extra 25 or so miles when they told me the only 20' truck available was at this location. I asked the employee if I could get a credit for the difference in miles and I was told I had to take it up with the location I initially reserved with. Between gas/mileage it probably cost me an extra 40-50 dollars. Moving my mom to a new place was expensive and stressful enough. I really didn't want to argue. Besides that, the truck was clean, u-haul employee was awesome, experience was great. I was still able to keep my schedule. Returned the truck the same night and the employee I dropped it off with couldn't have made it easier. Thanks for being a good resource. I just wish I didn't have to pay the extra dollars.TUCKER M.

Hello. Nestor helped me at the Adams Avenue U-haul in San Diego. He was outstanding. I realized when I got there, running late, that a golf cart wouldn't fit in the car carrier I had ordered. The wheels on the golf cart were to narrow. Nestor found me a utility trailer in the area and updated my reservation in minutes. Then when I asked if he could go one better and find me one that was actually on the route I was going to be driving he did that too. Kudos to Nestor. He sent me to the U-haul on El Cajon Blvd.San Diego. There I met Irene. She too was super helpful as was the yard guy who hooked me up and gave me directions, with a smile on his face. When I returned the trailer the following Sunday morning I was pretty bummed thinking I was going to be waiting in a 6 person line to just check in and do the return. When I asked a yard attendant if my rig was parked in a good place while I checked in he responded with " just give me a minute and I'll unhook you and you can be on your way. 5 minutes and i was on my way home. OUTSTANDING SERVICE from the get go. They made me a customer for life. P.S. I've probably done a follow up survey like this maybe twice in my entire life. that's it. Regards, Thomas G ChaseTHOMAS C.

The vehicle I rented was dusty and the windows were hard to see through. After I got my rental, I took it to the car wash and washed it clean. It was far easier to clearly see through the windows and mirrors.Pedro S.

The website itself is terrible and not functional with Android. Customer service takes 15 it more to take a call. The keys were not where they were supposed to be and I had to wait on hold for at least 20 minutes to get someone who could give me a hint about where they actually were. Honestly, terrible experience and really bad service. I won't be recommending uhaul to anyone, ever.David S.

This is definitely the worst location of U-Haul in San Diego. 3 days in advance truck reserved, receives a phone call 7pm day before saying you can have a 10ft instead of a 15ft. Should i put the rest of the furniture in the roof? The manager Irene was rude and towed my friend who was helping me move so be careful with parking on location even though there is a sign saying â€œcustomer parkingâ€... 69cent mileage discount was promised because of the mix over the trucks, but never givenKAYLA D.
Switched trucks on me when i had a reservation 3 days in advance, gave me two 10ft trucks when i needed a 15ft truck (my bill was 2x higher than it should have been). I used self pick up for 7am, so I could move before U-Haul opened at 9am. I had reserved 2 dollies and a set of furniture pads; unfortunately, none of these were in the truck and the location didn't open for 2 more hours, so I had to move everything without them. When I returned the truck in the afternoon, the man working the office assured me I'd be refunded for the items I didn't receive. Unfortunately, this didn't happen and I had to open a dispute online and solve it with a phone call. Additionally, I was charged for fuel, even though I replaced the fuel I'd used. This had to be resolved on the phone as well. Overall, it wasn't an ideal experience and I wouldn't use this location again, especially not for self pick up.Nolan B.

The truck interior had coffee spills and did not appeared it had been throughly wiped down after last use(s). The windshield also wasn't cleaned as well as it could be. I had to clean it all prior to beginning my one-way drive on Interstate 5.Diane C.
In completing the online check-in I chose the no insurance option and the no safe move option, including signing the declination of both coverages. Nevertheless, when I reviewed a copy of the contract which was placed in the vehicle in a location which I did not find on till I arrived at the one-way drop off, I discovered that I had been charged For the safe move option. Either your system is defective, or you have made the online application system so Convoluted that no one can actually figure out what they're accepting and or rejecting. In my opinion, the way in which U-Haul has configured the online system was either intentional to miss direct customers, or at best negligent and deserves to be reviewed by the courts.Larry K.
