Judith M.We were in the middle of moving to another state, under insane time constraints and last thing we wanted to worry about was getting my car moved. We were promised a car transporter at 2 different locations. When at the 2nd store, they told my husband he would have to drive to a 3rd (No Hollywood) he almost came unglued. And he did when that store didn't have the equipment we ordered either. Total run around. The manager at the No Hollywood store stepped up and made it happen for us. She literally saved my husband's sanity. She's AWESOME. And the young man who helped us picking the trailer was pretty awesome, too.

daniel W.The check engine light was on when we got the truck and when I called the location we were told the gas tank had been tampered but should be fine. The truck ran fine but when we went to pump gas it took about 10 minutes to get one gallon in the truck as it would not seal. This made for a longer more frustrating trip.

It was resolved by the help line phone rep, the one person who delivered, even though it took a while. Unnecessary drama after a 12 hour move from the desert to LA.
Matthew D.There was a FOUL odor coming from the U-Haul. Nearly threw up on the side of the road using it. I have no idea how an employee could have cleared this for a customer when there were tons of other 10†trucks for us to use on the lot. Rolling down the windows didn't help. We were on a time crunch and decided to use it, Bought febreeze on the way and used more than half the bottle and STILL smelled it. The odor seeped into our clothes. My friend and I are confident that a homeless person must have pissed and crapped it in over night, and that's why it stuck to our clothes since we were sitting on gen seats. A homeless person defecating and urinating is not an exaggeration. There was liquid under the seats and we were confident it was pee. The smell stuck to our clothes and we could taste it in our mouth for the rest of the day (drove about 35-40 miles total). And then when I mentioned it to the guy at U-Haul he AGREED that someone probably slept in it. Come on… how on Earth was this truck given the go ahead to be given to a customer?!?! INSANE health hazard!!!

Roxanne L.Mileage price per mile is rather outrageous -- we only drove 13 miles, but the mileage cost more than the rental. That's a corporate criticism, the people on site were helpful, courteous, friendly and NOT pushy.

Dustin F.It is cool U-Haul point. I came a little bit late for 10 min, but truck waited for me: clean, full of gas and ready to go. Guys helped me to fill up all documents fast and easy, 5 min and I went to bring my furniture. After coming back on time with a little bit bigger mileage that I planned, they quickly recalculated it, did inspection of truck and that was it. Fast, easy and awesome. Strongly recommend this point! Thanks!
Ruslan K.When I arrived, I was "greeted" by a person outside who followed my car through the gate to ask me multiple times if I needed help moving. And then pestered by many more. These few people and their friends were all sitting on the sidewalk and inside the gate drinking beers and crushing the cans on the sidewalk. Not exactly someone I want to pay to carry my things. This location should at least have a bit more control over the people who are INSIDE the gates. We had a similar experience when we dropped the truck off after hours. Seems like the hangout spot of North Hollywood in the lot of this Uhaul location. Overall not great vibes. On the bright side, I was able to pick up my truck before my reservation time which was convenient. And the employees were very nice. Still would not recommend at this moment
Dylan H.Guy who checked me in (Indian with nose ring and cool rings) was super friendly and efficient. The car had such a bad smell that the guy came in with air freshener to make it a little bit tolerable. I return the vehicle with the correct amount of gas and have a gas receipt to prove it, but was still charged over $30 for 20 miles of gas when I filled up 2 gallons worth.
Sarah I.There were bums at the location, I reserved a cart and they didnt have it so they said they would give me another one and adjust the fee and they didnt and I got scammed on the gas they said it was full it wasnt. Returned with half a tank but only went 15 miles each way. Scam Alert!!

I'm assuming she was the manager from her professionalism, and was she respectfully communicated with her crew. If she isnt, she should definitely be concidered to promote. So then I went on a whim to the closest one and they ended up having it. (Waste of gas). Then the moving truck smells like a homeless person lived in it. Filthy and really smelly.

Sara G.This was a terrible experience. I arrived before opening and used my phone to retrieve all the information. When I arrived to my house there was a wordlock on the truck and I was never given the code for it. I called and called once open and no one was able to help me. I finally decided to drive back and ask for help. The gentleman who helped was very accommodating and said that this was a mistake and this wordlock should not have been on there. He was the only one at the front desk and it was pretty busy on Sunday Oct. 2 9am. Luckily I wasn't too far from this location but I lost about an hour and a half and very frustrated as my movers had to wait for me to go and come back. Horrible experience using Uhaul.
