Customer check out needs to be faster. Your agents take way too long to register a rental, and it holds up the line for people making retail purchases. Today I tried checking in on the mobile version and I still ended up having to deal with Heath. He took a phone call while multitasking and entering my info while another available agent just sat there. Agents need to be present for their customers and not take calls while they are with a customer because it makes your slow check in process even slower and leaves room for human error when they are not focused on their task. I'm so glad I moved out of this area and dont have to go to this store again, always such a long wait and really obtuse service agents that take their time and waste mine. Because of the long wait I had to pay my hired mover for extra time while we just stood there doing a manual process with a distracted agent because the mobile app failed. The whole point of me using the mobile version was to avoid what I already knew was sure to be a frustrating and unpleasant interaction with your people.

They were very helpful. The location was great. The reason I am giving them one star, is because the tow dolly that was given to me ripped the entire bumper off my Acura, and then once we got the bumper back on, the chains on the dolly wouldn't wrap around my vehicle. So not only did my bumper get ruined, the dolly wouldn't fit my sedan. The U-Haul system said that the dolly would fit my Acura, and it didn't. So, I am unhappy because of the damage done to my car that could have been easily avoided if the system told me that the tow dolly would not fit my car.

Your online service doesn't seem to inform offices of the order. I ordered and scheduled a bumper hitch installation at an office. They had no record of this. My wife was sent t another office later and still not there. She came back again after their call. Not good.

The only possibility would be for more personnel for 1st thing on a Saturday morning at end of month...but they processed everyone (about 8-10 of us) quickly. Very Efficient!

I had a rough experience with this UHaul experience. I called earlier last week to set up the reservation and the night before, on 06.28, I called to confirm the details & it said the guy on the phone set me up for 8:30pm on 06.29 when I clearly stated I needed it for 8:30am on 06.29. Speaking to the representative on the phone, she was able to find a new time but it was further away and although the woman was nice, she sounded a little unsure as to what to do and it took nearly 45 minutes to just cancel one reservation and make a new one. Since the original man messed my reservation time up, I now had to start later in the morning and was rushing to get the new location. When I got there, the line took forever and I was not able to leave until 45 minutes after reservation even though I paid for and checked in online. When making the reservation, the woman said I could just walk up, since I did online check in, but I still had to wait in line and it was very frustrating since I already had to start later in the day & further away. One of the owners, whose name is Bone, was nice at the counter and did move through my check in quickly, but I am still very frustrated in the fact that I had to move to a location further away and at a later time that made me late for my movers. I would appreciate any compensation for that first person's error that caused all the confusion & frustration!

They were rude right off the bat no matter how nice I tried to be, forgot to put in the dolly in even though I verified when it when I took possession of the of the vehicle . Had to go all the way back which set my move an hour and half behind. Then they double charged me. I will never use this location again !

Your roadside assistance sucks. I waited over an hour just to speak with someone. The police called a tow and had to relocate the truck, since it broke down in traffic lanes. By the time your roadside service called me, the truck was already towed back to the uhaul yard. What a waste of money.

Have actual people in the store answer all calls, I thought I was speaking to a person that was in the store and asked the person when I was making the appointment if this location is the one on frank loud wright right across from Costco, if I would of known it wasn’t I would of never booked with this location. I drove all the way over to the frank loud wright location and the told me that it was a different location and that I would have to drive all the way there, so I did and the guy at the store told me if I want to drive all the way to the frank loud wright location he would drive the truck there to make it easier for me, which the girl helping at the other location didn’t even bother mentioning let me call the other location and see what we could do... I drove all over the valley and got the run around paid $80 all because you have people working from home answering and booking appointment and not knowing where locations are

They gave me a 10 ft box truck to move a stainless steel refrigerator and a washer and dryer. The truck had no tamp, no hoist, and was not tall enough for the refrigerator. I didn't realize this until I got 30 miles away at the 3 party pick up location. I had to go to Home Depot and rent an additional truck. We didn't have enough drivers to get both trucks back. I finally got home from returning the Home Depot truck at 12 midnight. I will NEVER listen to what Uhaul recommends again. I also rented an appliance dolly, but what they put in the truck was a small, flimsy, box dolly. I'm very, very, very unhappy!!!

The guys working there great, but my truck a 15. Ft truck handle broke with keys in it, and it running the location did not have a 2nd set of keys. It added 3 or 4 extra hrs on my move waiting on locksmith. no need for that! It was hot!!!!

The Scottdale location was crowded and jammed with customers. Due to the volume we had to wait for a rental agent to come back into the office to assist us and the 4 other customers had to wait in line until the agent finished with my transaction. Then when I finally could get my tow vehicle into the rental lot, I still had to wait for the lot personnel to get to us for the hook up of the trailer. The office was understaffed for the volume of the rental customers.

Upon returning my truck an employee by the name of Robert opened the back of the truck and said in a very demeaning attitude "Was this truck this dirty when you picked it up?" I looked inside and said what is wrong. He pointed to some dirt in the floor grate near the back door. I asked if he had a towel so I could clean it up and he said No in his bad attitude but said we can charge you a cleaning fee. I asked what the fee was and he said $25. Then he said in another negative tone "You can go across the street and spray it out. At this time I told him he had a very bad attitude and asked for a manager. He simply walked away from me. WOW is this how a good business operates? I walked inside and asked for a manager to complain about how I was being treated and a lady named Michala who is a great example of a great employee said the manager just left, but she listened and appologized unlike Robert. I requested the name of the manager which she wrote down and his number. I tried to call the location today but unfortunately was redirected to a corporate call in center which is upsetting. If no one call me back to discuss I will place a bad YELP response. I am extremely upset. First I was promised a two hour install. This was after I made a reservation eight days in advance, then the day before the install I received a call telling they didn’t have all the parts and had to wait two days more. We agreed on one day. The two hour install took four plus hours and my blinkers don’t work! They sent me an n my way with s bad install. Then I had to call roadside assistance. They told me that he modulator is bad and installed wrong. I’m driving an unsafe trailer thanks to this uhaul.??

The truck itself was old and beat up with a lot of pre-existing body damage. I was generally concerned about being charged for it so I took pictures of all of it before departing. Thankfully I was not charged when I returned the truck. I don’t believe the fuel credit was explained properly at pick up. I ultimately put $17 into the tank only to find out I didn’t need to even do that since I received the truck at below 1/4 tank. I feel like I wasted $17. The gentleman at pick up who’s name I can’t remember but his badge said owner of that location, was great, minus maybe explaining the fuel credit better and advising I did NOT need to put fuel into the tank to avoid charges. Everything else he was great about. The lady working later in the evening has a horrible attitude and will be the sole reason why I don’t use this location or Uhaul ever again. If you use this location, go early, return early, and ask for a newer truck and I’m sure you’ll be fine. Otherwise, drive a few more miles to the next location.

By far the best Uhaul experience I’ve ever had- just an exceptional experience from start to finish. First, Michaela was so responsive when I asked to rent van for the day i picked up unbox. In fact, she called me back with an eta of the exact time my box would arrive on her own accord. So helpful and the epitome of customer service. On the day, we were to unload the box Bone set our rented van right next to box. Subsequently, we returned the van and we were quickly processed without returning to inside office. All businesses should adopt the customer service model this location delivered. Very nice experience on an unpleasant moving day. Thank you

Holy crap. Guys here are super nice. The pod I got had a bum lock. I'm sorry I didn't get his name-slender, longer blonde wavy hair, been there 4 years- he was awesome. Quick to fix it best he could. Calm and cool even with long line inside.

On both the loading and unloading ends, I requested FIRST thing in the morning (upon opening). In Scottsdale I checked the day before and knew the box was there.. We finally got access after about 1 3/4 hours. They were crazy busy, but I thought they would have set it out before opening since they knew we were coming. In Oregon, they texted/emailed two days before that we were to come at Noon on the scheduled day. We went in to explain that we already had the truck reserved, and help arriving at opening. They would not reschedule, but told us to call back one hour before opening. When we did, we got someone who said they would pass along the message. We went over at opening so we didnt lose our truck reservation, and while still in line, someone called and offered to deliver it to our house (HOA doesnt allow or we would have done that). They did work with us, and we had access to the box within 30 minutes...If people can not have access to their boxes at opening...Tell them at the time they rent! Both cases they made a point of telling me it would be on site--the day before...But didnt explain that I may not get access upon store opening the scheduled day.

There were no moving blankets in the truck, after I was told there would be six in a bag in the truck. I had thought I was purchasing 2 dollies at the sale price. I had to rent blankets from another company when I got to the start (load) location. When I returned the truck and expressed my disappointment, how it was handled was poor. I would not recommend this center. The location was excellent, the personnel poor. I went there today to apologize for being upset at how they handled my return, Once again, I will discourage anyone from using this center.

The truck broke down completely and needed to be towed. We waited 3 hours for a tow truck to pick t up. When I called the store to ask for a replacement truck, the man working was very rude. He told us we could not get another truck until we returned the first one. However, the tow truck had the first rental. He was disrespectful. It was terrifying when a cylinder from the engine fell off the truck while I was driving it and this man did not have any sympathy for that. We never did get a second truck and it made our moving day very difficult. I am very disappointed in the service I received. The only good thing that came of it is the pending charge on my card is supposed to be reversed so that I am not charged anything.

You staff in the Phoenix pick up location is not appropriately trained and neither was the worker at my drop off location. Your manager stated she was just trying to do her job but you can’t do it if you are not appropriately trained. I was not notified that there was a mileage restrain in the vehicle so I had to pay extra. This may be your way of getting just a few more dollars from a client but it is bad service.
