She was yelling and screaming in front of my child all over a miscommunication between another staff member and my friends, she told me to get off the property immediately as if I was doing something illegal. I was informed that, although I reserved the equipment, it is not certain that it will be available. That should be stated upon rental. I was informed that there would be a lock in the unit. The lock was to be returned to the office or I would be charged. When I returned the locked that I found, their staff was amazed that it was not new. I was looked at as if I was not telling the truth. I brought them the lock that I found. I was also informed that my rental unit was across the street. When it was actually down the street & around the corner. We wasted more gas looking for a rental area across the street

I am a customer if you had taken care of me initially I would never had to call back. This woman was rude and unprofessional. I left so many messages for the manager. I never received a return call. Poor customer service. The man on-site who attempted to assist me was very nice.

The 24 hr access at their S Caton Ave location, at no extra cost, is amazing. The only one like it around. I highly recommend this location the staff is great. Everything is always a breeze and they know their stuff. If I need storage space in the future I’ll definitely return! Thanks U-Haul!

I had a lock placed on my unit for now payment however my payment was made and I was told they didn’t know why the lock was placed. I waited for 45 minutes for someone to remove the lock. Finally the prices are too high for such small units.

Because of this, I was charged an additional 50$ and locked out of my storage unit despite having the money simply because I couldn't pay online with my bank account information or in store with a Google Pay. The storage facility itself, while secure, often had the larger doors locked and made it hard for me to move any large furniture in, and staff was never around despite multiple calls and attempts to reach them despite it being during reasonable hours that I would reach out to them. The facility itself was rarely ever clean, with abandoned furniture scattered throughout and not addressed. And the lack of carts/elevators made using the upper floors a huge hassle. My experience, from storing items to paying for said storage, was overall negative and I will avoid doing business with U-Haul storage again in the future.

Wasted a chunk of our uhaul moving truck rental time as we could not unload the items that night but had to wait until the following morning. Cynthia Lueck | First ImpressionsThe reason that I will not give Excellent is because, it is a major reason, the sliding glass door has only worked twice the entire time that I have had my things there which is since 2020. That is soooooo frustrating to have gathered all your belongings either going into the facility or coming out of it, and the sliding door DOES NOT open. To have to fight with that other door that doesn't slide open, and the cart full of items is sooooo inconvenient, frustrating, and causes you to have to exert energy and strength that us middle aged people do not have. This is the only problem I had with the facility. However, it is a Major problem for me. Please, please correct this issue, and make sure that the sliding doors work all the time. I was absolutely shocked that the sliding door worked on the last day that I used the facility which was yesterday. I wasn't even going to attempt to use the sliding door because I just knew the sliding door would not open. However, as I was placing your cart back in its place, the sliding door opened. I wish that was the case my entire time accessing the storage facility since 2020. Again, outside of that one frustration, I would still recommend your facility.

Stood in front of U-Haul for 4 and 1/2 hours on two phones one phone stayed on holed with the elevator music for an hour,BUT the representative that did answer took every step and stayed on the phone for an hour with me trying to figure something out Didn't get my truck unloaded until 24 hours later which costs more money,more help,more gas ,more time. The truck and storage establishment where excellent.

I was offered a box truck as a substitute however by the time the transfer to that vehicle was complete, over an hour had passed from my original reservation time. I was required to pay movers for that time to sit in front of my house waiting for a truck. Because I chose to rent with Uhaul, the cost of my move yesterday was significantly higher than budgeted. I'm extremely disappointed with this experience.

Shemeka Kaskins-Ruiz | Overall ExperienceThis is the worst customer service experience that I've had in quite a while. Uhaul has in my mind been the standard for moving and storage. Just had a big move, rented a truck and got a "free" month of storage. So I took it just in case. Bad idea. They tried to sell me an insurance fee that was "policy" but was not on the agreement for the "free" storage unit. About 10 days after my move I used the email they provided to inquire about canceling because I didn't need it. No one responded. I emailed twice afterward, still no response. Then I called in about a week or so later, talked with someone and asked to cancel. I explained that I had never visited the storage unit and didn't need it which they can confirm both by camera and in their system because I never used the code they provided to let myself in to the unit. She said it would be taken care of that day. Not done, no confirmation email. Then I received an email a day ago stating that I would be charged if I didn't respond by the end of the month. I called and was told that I had "moved in" and someone needed to check me out. Again, never stepped foot on the facility. They said someone was going to verify right then. So I drove here because I didn't trust that. Sure enough, the guy who was supposed to have gone didnt. He was still at the office and had no idea about my situation. That was Ralph the Manager. So I explained again and he said he would drive out to check. He said that if there was a lock, sometimes their employees put one on there if they knew it was rented. Waited here for over an hour. He got back and said there was a lock on it but they hadn't put it on and suggested that it was mine. I again explained that I had never been to the facility. He said they would need to cut the lock. Still waiting another hour. They do have cameras, why would I lie about never having been there? Seems like it shouldn't be that hard. Not happy. My recommendation, never come here. Never buy the "free" line. Boo uhaul. Any guesses as to what will happen next or how long I'll be here? #negativestar Update: another hour down the drain. Still shouldn't be that hard. Final update: confirmation of my "move out" achieved after a few hours. Turns out they gave me a unit that still had someone else's stuff in it. Since I had never been there I had no idea. It was complete with an unopened mailed package with the other persons info on it. Vindication? Perhaps, but I still lose, cause I'll never get that time back. Thank you uhaul.

I had to throw away a lot of my belongings because they were either damaged from the mice shredding them or completely covered in poop. Also, I keep getting emails and phone calls about a balance when my storage was suppose to be a month free due to renting a uhaul truck

After canceling the unit I did not receive a refund and the unit was reopened instead of cancelled out like I wanted. I received a second bill for the unit and didn’t use the unit at all. Ralph was able to assist me with this error and I am still awaiting my refund.

They failed to closed my account three times after I moved out and I continued to get billed. I kept contacting them but nobody fixed it. Manager Ralph was so nonchalant about the waste of my time. No apology or empathy shown at all. He couldn’t even send me a real receipt for proof the account was closed. He sent me an email with two words that literally said “room closed”. What a joke. I had to call corporate to get a real receipt. This location is just ghetto. Don’t even bother calling, they’ll just put you on hold for 20-30 mins and hang up or forget about you.
