The shocks on the vehicle I drove were practically nonexistent, and the after hours drop off was not possible. Moreover, I was not informed about the lack of ability to drop off the vehicle after hours and I was shamed for having a problem with it the next morning. Will be using other companies in the future.WILLIAM K.

They do a scheme here. If you hire their services make sure to track the mileage and do not fall for the $17 credit discount they claim to offer because of the 1/4 gas tank. Make questions you will see the logic behind does not match. In the end, they will advise that an email will be sent to you with the receipt. Suggesting you do not need to stay there and wait for the receipt. Do not leave, stay there and request your receipt in person. I did trust on their explanation prior to use the truck and after I received the receipt by email I saw the extra charges.DANIEL R.

Really understaffed at peak periods. There was only 1 clerk available on a Sunday morning. So, long wait. Aside from that service was good. It sure would be nice if there was a nearby parking option -- this U-Haul store is directly adjacent to another parking lot that would be great to leverage for short-term rentals.Douglas L.

All their trucks were booked and the person who had mine before me had not returned it by my pick-up time. This is, of course, not U-haul's fault - the staff were very apologetic, they took down my number and called me as soon as the truck returned (2.5 hours later) and was sanitized. Great customer service! I'm glad I scheduled in a buffer time to my move.George F.
I believe UHaul could accommodate parking on site. I had to wander to find a parking spot (which had hour restrictions), and then cross a very busy street. This particular location appears to have room to park quite a few customer cars. I would warn potential customers that this is a major drawback to using UHaul.Rich B.

The specific Seattle Uhaul location was excellent; however, Uhaul as an organization needs significant improvement. When the rental reservation was originally made, there was no apparent issue. However, upon showing up at the designated reservation time and place, only then were we told of an outstanding issue with the renter. The corporate customer service was extremely unhelpful and rude thus providing no assistance in the matter. The whole ordeal took over an hour to resolve and we ended up having another individual make a reservation, which only delayed the overall move resulting in us not being able to move all the items that day.TRAVIS C.
The online Truck pickup experience is legitimately worse than the in-store experience. Sure, you can skip the line in store. In exchange, you get to wander around the lot looking for trucks that are not there like you're in "Trains, Planes, and Automobiles". U-haul either didn't read the mileage BEFORE I took the cargo van or AFTER because I was charged for driving 56 miles when I drove 17.5 and now I have to fight to get my money back. Of course I didn't take photos because I thought u-haul was capable of reading mileage and I was wrong. That's a $40 or so mistake that I now have to pay for.Kenton W.

I was given a checkout time of 7pm. The location closes at 7pm. I arrived a few minutes before 7pm, and the staff went inside, closed the store, and watched me from the security cameras waiting for me to leave. This location has sealed their after hours drop off boxes and won't accept them. After 5 minutes of waiting, the staff came out and yelled at me and argued with me about what time I had arrived. They would not take the keys and told me to come at 9am tomorrow. I had an appointment the next day I had to cancel to turn in my keys. I was very frustrated with this experience.Michael S.

Give your staff a raise! I have rented from many different U-Haul locations all over the country over the years, and I found the staff at the 15th Ave., West location in Seattle to be the most helpful I've ever worked with. The vehicle is clean and ready to go and they were incredibly helpful. I even overheard one of them helping another customer who had rented the truck from another location but needed help. We were sent from one uhaul to another because our truck wasn't ready. At the second location they couldn't find the key to the truck either and my friend and I spent 40 minutes waiting. Poor customer service and overall a very disappointing experience.Lauren W.

Easy, quick and clean (almost new) pickup truck. Return was a breeze. Staff were great. Couldn't quite tell gas was not full; I drove just 28 miles but put in 4.8 gallons.rich G.

My truck was blocked in by another truck, so I was assigned a different one. I was told to photograph the gas gauge before taking it and another after fill up, and show it to the person that I returned it to. I did exactly that, and explained very, very clearly to the person that I returned the keys to. He blew off what I said and the photo that I took and charged me for gas from the prior truck. I had to call the GM to have it fixed, which she did, along with a sincere apology. I am sure they won't make that same mistake again.Victoria B.

Location does not offer a drop box for keys or ability to leave truck overnight. They claimed the drop box oils get stolen...why not put a slot in a door or wall? I was told I could return the truck in the morning for no extra cost and was then charged extra for another day of insurance. Employee originally disputed the matter, saying there were no extra charges that looked out of place. When the employee realized I was over charged, they told me I would have to call back when the manager was there. Why can't the employee issue a refund or have the manager contact me? Why is uhaul tasking me with correcting their mistake?WILLIAM C.

You probably know that this facility has been a nightmare for a number of years. I had a storage unit there for a year and a half and the few times I was there (picking up moving boxes, etc.) you had been some of the most bizarre, angry and unprofessional people working AND it was always a huge disorganized mess. Your computer system is completely inadequate for the volume of business you do at that store! The person waiting on me Saturday said he had been brought in to clean up the mess but the office and store area is still trashed and you seem to be understaffed. However, he was professional and friendly - a huge improvement. I can’t answer the questions about available hours and up until Saturday I would have rated everything beyond poor- it felt dangerous. So, some of my comments are shaded by the unprecedented experiences I had in the past.. NOTE: I hadn’t been at the site August 2019. I would say your grade would be NI - needs improvement.
