I think the only thing bad about this experience was how the enclosed trailers don’t have a jack to allow for easy one person hookup.

overall the experience was quite poor, first I received 2 confirmations at two different locations, I went on line and cancelled the one but several hours latter I got a phone call from the cancelled location to ask when I would be picking up the rental, Latter in the day I arrive at the location I had requested at the time I made the reservation only to be told that he had no knowledge of my reservation. I showed him my reservation which I had printed of with my confirmation number and his address. He then called U-Haul and was informed the unit I had reserved was at a third location. I arrived at the third location and the staff knew nothing of my reservation. the staff at the third location were friendly and tried to correct the error but it was late on a Saturday evening and the staff who normally handle the U-Haul rentals had gone home and the staff on duty were not well versed on the U-Haul procedures but we did persevere. When I returned to my vehicle I noticed that I had been charged extra $30.00 fee. I did not go back to reverse the charge because I now had my rental unit and I am quite sure the staff at this location would of had problems with the corrections

The application process was slow , inefficient and frustrating. I attempted to speed up the process by completing the express check in only to have to redo everything when I arrived to pick up. The lights on the trailer where not working properly. They were extremely dim. Approximately 200 km into our trip a piece broke off the hitch and chains were the only thing holding the trailer to our vehicle. My husband managed to gain control while the trailer was literally bouncing from side to side. It was a terrifying experience. We had to leave the trailer alongside the highway and backtrack several km to get help from a uhaul dealership. The mechanic had to replace an entire mechanism. We were delayed dor 1 1/2 hrs. The whole ordeal could have resulted in us losing our lives!!!

NOTHING TO DO WITH LOCATION BUT IF YOUR COMPUTER SHOWS SOMEONE DRIVING TO HALIFAX IT WOULD BE NICE TO POINT OUT THAT THEY CAN NOT CROSS THE MACDONALD BRIDGE WITH A UHAUL DUE TO WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS.

The bookings were messed up twice. The readings on the fuel were wrong. Overall poor service and i would never rent from u haul again .

Worst service i have ever gotten, not just the coop all of uhaul, took 6 days for me to get moved so i had to reschedule my power appointment and that cost ne 100$

My location and truck size were changed on me twice before my pickup. My rate had to be discounted due to the changes, but the $50 guarantee they advertise on the site is only in the event that you cancel your order. I had to make arrangements for a different driver since I wasn't comfortable handling a truck as big as they'd assigned me. The itemized receipt they gave me was for $86 dollars including tax and then charged me $100 and couldn't account for the difference. I was credited back almost half that on return, but the location was remote to both my former address and my current one. Not an ideal experience.

Only one member of the staff at the location were aware of how to handle rentals or returns. The one staff member that new how handle rentals and returns was particularly grumpy and very unpleasant to deal with. I would not rent from this location again.

The proprietor let us leave without our blanket rental..good thing we were delayed a day and were able to go back to get them. Also, as a uHaul dealer, he was not able to tell us if we could change the drop off location. No one mentioned that there would be a $3.39 fee, which we could have paid while we were in southern Ontario (instead of finding out once we returned to Thunder Bay.

The man that runs Uhaul told me to hook up the trailer and get my car on the trailer myself. I have rented trailers before and the person that works there has always done it for me. It was like pulling teeth just to get the guy to show me how to do it. I will never go back to that location.

Don't ever send anyone to Agostinos location. Uhaul manager is rude, inconsiderate, and unhelpful. Extremely disappointed in entire rental experience.

Had isses with pick-up of the uhaul. All lines of communication were misunderstood; issues with payment and was not able to pick up truck at 9am like I was told. Did not end up getting the truck until about 1pm- set back all of our moving plans.

We had to drop off the unit after hours the night prior to its due back time because of the tardiness are getting the unit in Ottawa - I had to return to work on Thursday morning out of town and did not arrive back in Thunder Bay until late Tuesday evening instead of the anticipated Monday evening because of getting the u-haul unit 1 day late.

Make accommodations for extra fuel cost if the vehicle available is larger than the one requested. For example, I requested a 10' truck because that was all I required. Because none were available I received a 17' truck which was far larger than what I required and according to your website uses nearly 20% more fuel. Over the course of my trip this would have worked out to about $100 more in fuel. Also, the truck's speedometer and odometer were reading faster than the truck was actually moving (according to 2 different GPS's), meaning I logged more miles than I actually drove. Fortunately I did not incur and additional mileage charges, but I would have argued them had that occurred.

Saleperson would not put transaction thru Visa as requested. Would not assist with trailer hook up when requested.

We were at 5/16 of a tank when we returned the van and we were told we had to add gas to make it to 3/8 of a tank . We had to add 1/4 tank of gas to make the gauge move to the 3/8 tank level. After paying $1800 (taxes) this makes us question a return to U-Haul.

I had little involvement with the drop off location, however, I did drop the trailer off after hours (1/2 hr before opening). I contacted the dealer once they were open and to me it sounded like an inconvenience to the person on the phone that I had left the trailer there. If you are not interested in the business of renting/receiving then don't stay in the business.
