This is a fantastic place to rent and is very convenient. The process was very easy as I reserved online and upon arrival Yusif assisted with the check in process. He was extraordinarily helpful and within a few minutes the truck was ready. Since its a gas station the return makes it easy to fill up the gas tank. Overall this is a great location, top notch service, the trucks are super clean, and the service was excellent. Thank you!!DAVID S.
It's very troublesome to return process. If there stuff are there, why you have to ask to use mobile phone to return the truck or I h as v Ed to pay 20 dollars to do with your stuff. I picked up the car in the store not on my mobile phone, again , I found you charged me an extra @8 dollars more than estimated. Your price was $19.95 but in the end I paid @45 for only using 4 hours. I don't understand and angry. I am 64 years old. Anva YokohamaANVA X.

The location and employees were awesome. But the website to check in the truck when I returned it didn't work so I had to pay $20 service fee, was quoted $140 paid $187 and I rate Uhaul app website and service a 1 out of 5 stars. But Valero and it's staff were great. Uhaul ... not so much . Won't be using it's service againRECAN D.

The covid self check-in should have been easier, but we were not aware that U-Haul would require an additional contact or a passport scan. This cost us a half hour just to complete the process through the app.Ryan N.

You need to change the way that fuel is accounted for. Why don't you just have people refill the tank to full when dropping off and charge for missing fuel. The way you make people guesstimate the amount of fuel needed isn't practical. You should operate more as a rental car agency does to eliminate frustration and provide better customer care.JULIE G.

I followed the instructions to click "Pick up my truck" in the app, but it didn't say that anywhere in the app. I had to call customer service, wait on hold, and was told it was because I arrived a bit later than my reservation time. The rep had to reset the reservation so the app would work again. Being a little late should not break the whole process and force me to call!Russ S.

The people at the Valero station were great to work with. My complaint is with U-Haul. I tried to rent a truck online and opted for contactless retrieval. I-Haul's website sent me in a loop, I tried to contact U-Haul with no success and finally had to ask the Valero employee for help. He also could not use their website and had to call U-Haul directly. He then had to verbally give all the information over the phone that could have been entered into my phone or his computer. This process ultimately took 45 minutes! Same thing happened the next weekend!! I-Haul needs to get their system under control as they are the only option for rental near us. If there is another rental company near you, use that one.Daniel M.

I deserve some kind of discount for the frustrating inconvenience of having my reservation cancelled without my permission because the uhaul company decided not to give me adequate access to keys, the truck, all while making me drive over 60+ miles and over 2-3 hours of wasted time. Not ti mention it all happening at 10pm at night no doubtedly this is the worst experience Ive ever had. The Belmont location failed severely and uhaul customer service doesnt even seem to care. This will be my first and last time ever using uhaul ever for the rest of my life. What an inconvenience and the $19.95 is a jokes. How is it anywhere near $19.95 when I paid over 5 times that amount of over $100.00 plus all the aggravation. Why bother even mentioning $19.95 unless you live literally next door to a uhaul. What a joke this is. I will be posting a review on yelp, google and the better business borough website shortly. This is the ultimate worst experience Ive ever had in a very long time. I will make sure to warn others of my wretched time wasted with uhaul.Won C.

A much bigger display for the rear-view camera on the 9' van would be very helpful. The tiny 2-inch display integrated into the rear-view mirror is very gimmicky and virtually unusable because it is so small. Also, I tried using the U-Haul app on my Android phone and could not figure out how to do the self check-out and return for my reserved van. I ended up using the U-Haul website on my mobile browser; fortunately, that got the job done.Allen L.

My overall experience with scheduling was absolutely awful. My reservation was messed up and we had to spend hours on the phone trying to get a truck due to Uhauls fault. Everyone we dealt with personally was very helpful, except for Omar with Scheduling.Christian B.

The personnel tried to swindle me out of money. First they claimed truck was due an hour before it actually was (23hr after pickup), then they charged me a fee for mileage that I had already discussed with Uhaul over the phone to be free of charge. I was issued a refund by Uhaul, but was told this location issued the fee on their own.Yun Z.

I rented a car on 06/04/20, the payment was made on the same day, but the debit in my account was registered 2 TIMES. You like to know if this practice is normal for your company! I am very disappointed and dissatisfied with the service provided.Marcio F.

1. We spent 45 mins trying to figure out how to get a key code. The process is too complicated and too long. The guy at the counter tried his best to help but the computer was down. 2. There were 2 check lights on the dashboard as we drove the truck off the lot. These sensors were not serviced. 3. We rented the truck for 4 hrs fr 10:30a to 2:30p and we spent 45 mins trying to complete the rental. Yet we got an email saying we would be charged if we returned the truck after 2:30p. 4. Jason - the area field manager from San Mateo made my pickup easy, streamline and was very communicative and accommodating. He went above and beyond to help me get the service that was best for me. Also the store manager Jose at my pickup location was thorough, friendly and helpful. He was ready to help and explained every relevant detail of the transaction. Overall a great experience due to both of these individuals.Adam M.
