The male that helped me rent the equipment was rude, didn't look like he wanted to work and kept contradicting himself. I had called the Oddie-uhaul store since it's closer to home and the male that helped me was very nice, asked me all questions needed and reserved my equipment to pick up at sun valley store. When I arrived at the Sun valley store the male said, â€œI don't care if you made a reservation I have to start a new oneâ€ Then the male asked me the same questions 3 times, after 45 minutes he â€œpretendedâ€ to have a computer problem. He then asks me what time o will have the equipment back, so I told him, â€œ I thought that the amount I'm paying is for the day?â€ He then said, â€œ it doesn't matter what you pay I have to put on what time you will be bringing it back and if you don't bring it in at the time you say you will bring it back and some one else comes to rent the item you will pay a fee.â€ In the end, he just have us our paper work and said, â€œ there's 2 items the same, look at your paperwork and figure out which one has the unique number on your paperwork.â€ He never pointed out the â€œunique number on the paperwork.â€ What I meant by him contradicting himself is, when he would ask me the questions about which vehicle would be hauling which, he would say oh your truck is not big enough to haul it.. and then he would say I no your fineâ€¦ multiple times. There was an elder male there that was nice and came outside after we had figured out which one of the two items was the one we rented and helped with itâ€¦ I will NEVER go to the Sun valley store again and will spread the word on this makes bad attitude, body language, and customer service.janeth S.
I reserved a trailer online, at one location. When I arrived to get the trailer, it was not available, so I had to drive across town to another location. Also, the online process is too complicated. It should be 3 steps (not 15). Overall, I probably will not be renting another trailer, I will just buy my own. The undertaking was overly involved and time consuming.Eric L.

No one was there at the scheduled time for pick up or drop off, so the location over charged me for upgrades like insurance and an extra day because they were not there on drop off. I would not recommend ANYONE use this location.Chris H.

Very rude customer service experience. Uhaul was dirty, the back was open, the uhaul had a service engine light on, and it was a crappy uhaul.River B.
Couldn't get out of driveway. Had to use my ice scraper to get enough traction to be able to move enough to back up. Had to back up carefully without hitting anything to leave through another driveway that was fortunately salted and clear. Not the greatest place to rent a trailer.Raymond H.

Why would haul change the location to pick up trailer to a 10 AM pick up when I had a 7 AM and was driving the trailer and load to Eagle Lk Ca. I had movers waiting and arrived 2hrs late because of the pick up time. We were at Sun Valley at 7 AM and had to go back to Spaks and come back to Sun Valley and then go back to Sparks to Load. The people were waiting all that time to Load trailer and at Eagle Lk same thing. We couldn't return trailer to Susanville because they close at 4 PM. What a mess. SharronSharron W.

Rental was moved from Silverada Blvd to this location without notice. Received the email about the move after I had returned the truck. My reservation time was 8:30 am and they didn't even open till 9:15. Business hours were at 9am. Trucks are not cleaned at all. As in blown out, swept out etc. there were cigarette butts and ashes all over the truck. The gentlemen helping me with dark hair and a tiny ponytail was absolutely rude, uncaring and immature. Berating me because I couldn't hear what a man was saying from across the store. When I came back to return the truck 20 hours EARLY the older gentleman I couldn't initially hear was nice and the pony tail guy was again rude and griping at another lady. NEVER will I rent from here again. Gives UHaul a bad name too. If I were to need a rental again and it's moved to this location I will call and cancel. It's not ok to talk down to people, not treat them the way I was treated. I get it that their actual business is a pawn shop and not uhaul. But they are certainly not busy. They have a few clocks on the walls and the rest is used tools. That's it. I will also be leaving a review on Yelp and any other forum I can think of. I am very upset at how rude ponytail was. He needs another job. Maybe cleaning the trucks between customers would suit him more.Rebecca B.

Our Rental was relocated to this location on a day when the business was closed. We had difficulty with pickup because our reservation wasn't setup for online pickup. With much difficulty we finally received our truck 2 hours after when we expected to have the truck. This location was friendly and courteous with drop off, but pick up was a terrible experience. There was a leak in the roof on the top right corner of the "mother's attic" we didn't notice it until we were unpacking. It rained the entire night before so tons of out stuff was dripping wet because of the hole. We don't know what is damaged until we unpack our belongings. This is unacceptable.Devin O.

I liked the camaraderie between local facilities. The overall transportation system is BAD!! I had reservations 3 weeks out . And kept receiving texts that everything was fine . AND then at 6:44pm the night before CANCELLED for no equipment. 2 days before you were all set and had my equipment. I guess the evil fairies came and took it away. I think that you should give up the online and let the local facilitators deal with the public and the equipment. If it wasn't for Irma @Public Security Storage calliing Matt at Valley Jewelry I would have been locked out due to demolition crews coming in. Very bad situation that your employees handled. Got me to stop crying. They are good employees and represent your brand with flying colors. The traffic control and online site can take a big FAT FKendell Kay C.

Dont change my pick up time 2 days before the move with no warning, and then change my pickup time again by phone the night before the move, forcing me to change locations and cry at work because you guys made a stressful time extremely harder. While the location itself doesn't really matter the overall customer service from uhaul is what sucked. Our reservations seemed to not matter at all. We ended up with a smaller truck than we needed at the wrong time. If it hadn't been for my family all offering to drive their cars with more stuff, our move would have been extremely harder because of the smaller vehicle. 2/10. The guy who was on the phone with us helped as much as he could and I respect that. Sucks that we had to use a much smaller truck though.Oliver A.

I understand there's a shortage of Uhauls right now and tons of people are moving across the country â€” but Uhaul needs to figure out a better and more reliable reservation system. We booked a Uhaul trailer a couple weeks in advance of our cross country move and was told the day before trailer pick up that a trailer might not be available to us until 4 days after our pick up date within 300 miles of where we were, pick up was on a Saturday morning and they told us they wouldn't have one available until the following Tuesday. That is completely unacceptable when a reservation is made prior. We ended up still getting a trailer on our Saturday pick up day, but it took a lot of moving parts to get there. Moving is stressful enough, improve your system to help alleviate some of that stress for your customers instead of creating more.Gwen E.

Do not screw them by doing a split pick up, had me pick up truck in sun valley then trailer in silver springs. Yes you guys added miles to my agreement but ended up wasting 40-60$ just going to pick up my trailer and back track!andrew F.

Staff were very rude . Nothing I had ordered was at this location but 1 price. And was told to drive around the city's looking for blinkets at one location then then another for the hand truck, the another place for appliance hand .truck. , then another location for the last piece. Worst experience not using uhaul a again and definitely not recommend it a friend or fow.Adam D.

I would suggest that reps answering the phone would listen and respond correctly before upsetting clients or misinforming them. I had an issue when extending the rental due to the agents lack of listening and answering my questions. Luckily, I was able to break it down to her and complete extending the truck rental for one more day.Manuel C.
