The equipment was ready when I arrived and cleaned right when I returned to be ready for the next guy. Most of all, I received a smile and firm handshake when I left. Venus and Barbs is an asset to the Steubenville business community !

The guy that waited on me was very rude and argumentative for no reason. I would not recommend anybody to go to that place where a U-Haul. My price was way higher than what it should have been

Shane AI checked in fully online. When I was finished checking in, I was instructed to go inside, skip the line, and pickup my keys. When I went inside, there were a few people in line. I let the man at the counter know that I checked in online and simply asked if I should wait in the line or just grab my keys and go. He accused me of being rude just for asking because there were other people in line. Why does the website say “skip the line and go straight to the counter” then? I would never pickup from this location again.
Jeffrey WActually, the gentlemen working here were fabulous. They were kind, responsive, and quick to get me on my way. The truck was newer, so it was nice and clean. The area where this is located is a bit rough. I would go back myself, but not sure I would ask my wife to get something there.

Jacob SThe delivery process was difficult. No room to maneuver and remover the trailer. Luckily I had two friends much younger than myself who had to help lift the trailer off of the truck and push it back into a spot that walls allow us to back out of the lot. Also the owner was rude and not a very good representative of the u-haul brand. He kept making snide remarks under his breath loud enough for me to hear him simply because I asked him to please check the equipment in while I was still on the site so that I could feel confident that there were no issues with the return. He took offense to this and said “I’m the owner! I said you could leave!”. I asked him again to please check the equipment in while I was there and he got insulted. He then started this silly laugh that was intended to irritate me. I asked him what is wrong and why was he doing this, he said “I’m 40 some years old and I can laugh all I want! I decided to leave it be and simply write it up in my review of his facility. We never went inside of the office.

The store personnel was rude, & very abrupt. I tried speaking with a customer service rep, and she was abrupt and rude also. I will never use U Haul again nor will I recommend it.

Jay AHe is very friendly during the process, but he put me in a truck different from the one assigned to me on your app and was absolutely no help and very arrogant about trying to rectify the situation. U-Haul customer service was no help either. Trying to call them and drive the truck was extremely frustrating. Got thru and talked to 3 different people who listened to the problem then put me on hold and then was disconnected. The 3rd one I talked to confirmed that I was driving a different truck than the one their records showed I should be driving. Needed to straighten out with a 25,000 mile difference Finally got it straightened out the next morning after chatting overnight and getting a number straight to scheduling.

Called the day before to confirm reservation and that everything was good to go, indicating to clerk rental will be picked up when they opened at 10a the next morning. Got to location and was told that they did not have any furniture dollies. Needless to say, had to hire an extra hand for 5 hours at $50/hr.

TERISHA EThe truck was the worst Uhaul I have ever used. It had almost 200K miles on it and a serious exhaust leak that required us to have the windows down. Additionally, it was empty when I picked it up. We barely made it to a gas station just a few blocks away. It actually started to stall as we pulled up to the pump. I also paid for a dolly that wasn't in the truck. This location was a contactless pick-up. So there was nobody to address any of this.

James SThis was the 2nd time we used this rental location first time was great no issues bothering, this time around I was over charged, when asked about it the owner as he identified himself as, also said he owned uhaul, cursed at me and called me out of my name, threatened to call the local police authorities to say I stole the truck when I clearly had a receipt, lied to overcharge me I did not accept the insurance during my reservation and I took a screen shot while I noted the reservation number. This man committed forgery and fraud by unlawfully changing my reservation details over charged me for a bigger truck than what I reserved and yelled profanities and hung up on me taunting and challenging me saying I quote go ahead bit&$ call uhaul I own that bitc@ too. I have the entire conversation recorded due to my porch cameras that have audio and video 24/7 365 monitoring and I always talk on speaker phone I’m appalled and I’m going to upload this encounter to social media within the next 36 hours if something is not done so I can and will warn others of this disturbing transaction

David HWe rented the truck on Friday at 4:30 pm, my husband was told it needed returned on Monday. We took it back on Sunday before 3pm and he put the keys in the return box. The guy working called me at 10:30 pm and asked where the truck was and when I told him we returned it already he called me a liar. I will not rent from this location ever again!
