The website went down while I was trying to get the code for keys. Customer service helped get the info in manually. Overall it took over an hour and a half to get the keys for the van. Wasn't a big deal, it might be more efficient to have the code attached to the order confirmation.Cory E.

Guy running place is nice but does not know how to use a computer, took 1/2 an hour to get out the door. My complaint that follow are not for this uhaul location but uhauls website and app etc, all the corporate garbage. EVERY TIME I RETURN A TRAILER, without the app and website crashes multiple times. As soon as you are prompted to take a picture to prove cleanliness and location of trailer, it attempts to upload the picture and crashes the page and makes you completely restart the whole process. This is especially irritating when I'm returning the trailer after business hours sometime at 2am or later. Wanting nothing more than to go to bed but have to sit on the phone for up to if not more than 20-30 minutes waiting for a representative to go through the process with me over the phone, only to have to finish it manually because they webpage and app are unusable. For the amount you pay for their service, and for how large the company is, this is a MASSIVE oversight. Its at the point now where Id rather not even rent unless absolutely necessary. Ken was extremely helpful and well skilled. I was told by a U-haul rep two days prior to rental that my requested 5x8 trailer was not locally available and that I would have to drive 40 miles to get one. I reluctantly went with an upgrade to 6x12 for convenience of a local Syracuse delivery. Ken called the next morning and said he had my 5x8 trailer that I needed/wanted and Friday a.m. in Chittenango was a go. I really appreciate that Ken! You made my move so much easier and less stressful. Ken also sold me a very much needed drop hitch. I can't thank Ken enough. I also want to thank U-haul administration for the easy rental process through and through. Expertly done. Kudos to the engineer and programmers. Drop off was extra easy and allowed for photo proof that is genious.DOUGLAS A.
Had trouble with mobile pick-up. Locked out before I could get key and finish pick-up procedures. Mobile pick-up and drop off needs to be better. Didn't work like the demonstration videos.Keith K.

owner was VERY RUDE , i talked to him 3 different times and he was rude to me 2 of the times . i stopped by early in the day to see if the trailer was there to see if it had tie downs in the floor , it wasnt there yet , so i ask him is the trailer coming soon i was just looking to see if it had tie downs in the floor . he was very rude and yells me its out on delivery, like i should of known that, then i ask if i can do anything now to help speed up the process when i get the trailer , he says that he needs to take pictures of the hook up , and very rudely says he needs money. i said i did all that online. he calls me later and lets me know the trailer is here that i can come and get it, i informed him that i have to wait for my friends truck , and he is working till 4 pm. when i go to pick up the trailer we notice the tongue of the trailer is being held up by a floor jack and that there is NO tongue jack on the trailer. i go into the office and let him know we are here for the trailer, as he is hooking up the trailer to the truck , i just ask if he has any ramps for the trailer, he yells at me "NO IT IS WHAT IT IS!" , i yelled back and said I'M JUST ASKING, arguement followed, i informed him that the top marker light is broken and not working , he said that doesnt matter , i said well im let you know so i dont get blamed for it. back in the office for paper work he yells at me some more that he called he earlier and i said yes , and i also told you i had to wait for my friends truck to get the trailer. he is very rude and i will not go back to that location ever again. that is not the way to treat customers!jim C.

When finalizing the driver validation process I was not given a key code to access the key box. Instead the app told me to go inside and grab my key from the counter. When going inside and explaining to the owner, Ken, that I have come to pick up my key for the cargo van I was that I was already given the key and that the van is outside. I explained that I was not given a key by anyone and that I was directed inside for one by the app. Ken took a moment to look at the reservation and told me that I don't have a rental, but if I gave him my card info and drivers license he could rent me a van. I definitely was not going to do this because I had already been pre-charged for the rental and my account was showing that my time with my rental had already started, I had even received a text detailing rental return procedures. Ken insisted several more times that I did not have an open rental and couldn't give me the key. It wasn't until I showed the pending change from my banking app, order confirmation status, and reminded Ken he had called me not 15 minutes prior to confirm I was coming in at 8am for my rental that the key box was opened and I was handed the key. Upon returning my rental I asked Ken if he ever figured out what happen earlier that morning with my rental mishap, and expressed concern because I have another rental in about a week and was worried that because it was after hours I would have no one to go to for assistance if this same thing happened again. I was basically given an answer of the issue was between myself and U-Haul and that if it happened after hours that would be for me to figure out. I was somewhat taken back my his no f**ks given attitude towards the whole situation. I am still debating whether I want to change my reservation to a different location or not. I definitely will not be using this U-haul location again.Justin A.

When we picked up the truck, it only had a 1/4 tank of gas and the wipers were broken. Both wipers looked like black spagetti, which we didn't notice until later that day when it rained.Alan T.

The only issue I had: I returned the van after business hours and was told I needed to lock it up and put the key in the box. After doing this and driving back home I checked my phone (which I did not look at while driving/busy, etc) I found I had a text that said I needed to return the truck through this link or pay an extra $20. I drove back to the van so the location would be correct but I could not take pictures of the inside of the van because I had already dropped the key in the return box. Admittedly this step may have been printed somewhere and I missed it but it would have been very nice to have had it stated with the rest of the verbal instructions I did get which were relevant and useful. Overall a good experience just one inconvenient hiccup. I must add the man at Verne's was very nice and helpful.Darlene C.

Everything with Uhaul itself. First you rescheduled my pickup point from 5 miles away to 12 miles away. We estimated 20 miles would be used. Also without speaking with us. This was done at 7:18 in the morning. We made the reservation at 10:00 pm. So no you didn't attempt to call. The last 3 times I have made a reservation it has been a fiasco. Vernes was not a problem they were fantastic. 5 phone calls though to correct problems with the ride share and it took over an hour to complete the transaction. System would not accept photos when dropping off. Can you say a disaster? If anyone wants to rent I would definetly recommend Vernes. But I think you can see I did not have and have not had a very good experience with your company.kevin G.

Sending a notification ahead of time and finding new accommodations before pickup if the uhaul booked was not returned by the previous user. My original pickup site was in Syracuse NY but due to this issue I had to drive to chittenango. Not only that but I was barely compensated for mileage and went over due to the extra distance I had to drive to pick up the uhaul. So I was greatly inconvenienced and somehow still had to pay extra.Kevin G.
