WILLIAM BU-Haul is not a customer concentric company by any means. The private locations are more than friendly and do well to make up for the corporate customer service short comings. I would definitely not recommend U-Haul to anyone.

Michael LDon't raise your f'n rates when a customer moves his rental up 24 hrs. I was charged $84 extra dollars to move a truck up 1 day that was sitting in Westends yard.Same truck same length of rental time. If there had been an alternative in that town I would have used them even if it would cost me more. Total lack of integrity on your part. I will not recommend your company to anyone that may ask me how my moving experience was. Total B-S on your part, Thanks but never again!

p.j. cActually fix the equipment. Fuel gauge didn't read correctly, power steering pump was leaking, exhaust leaked at the manifold which made an annoying clicking sound the whole drive, and the dash was broke so it constantly rattled. For $1800 I would have expected a much nicer truck. And the trailer I also reserved, yeah, it was at a uhaul store 3hrs away. No communication or planning ahead.
Misti WMy complaint is with the specific trailer I rented. It was the only one this location had. The tail lights were composed of multiple LEDs, and 2/3 or the LEDs were either burnt out or not hooked up. The problem was that caused my 2014 Ford to constantly tell me there was a bulb failure and to actually "forget" there was a trailer attached because the lights didn't draw enough power. The entire second day I drove with this trailer I was bombarded by notices that my blind spot monitoring system was being turned off because there was a trailer hooked up. I've never had that problem with any other trailer I've used.

Michael LWe did self drop off - frustrated we requested a Granby drop off was given a Kremmling drop off and was charged for the extra gas and mileage. It was only 11 dollars but it was an extra hour of our time and not convenient. It’s the principal of it.
Steve MAgain the drop off location was not the location we’d booked. Close to a 90 minute round trip from Fraser where we expected to drop off. Also notified with short notice after we were on the road. It would be highly preferable to know the location of pick up and drop off at the time of booking.
Christopher CThis was the poorest experience I have ever had renting a vehicle. Was ripped off. First of all, there were no trucks. Once I found a location that would work, I was guaranteed a truck. Their guarantee is not worth anything. I called the location and they said there was a truck. Later that day I got a call from Corporate or somewhere that said there was no truck even thought 2 hours earlier it was there and I had a guarantee. She said there was another guaranteed truck in another town out of the way. I questioned whether this guarantee was as good as the last one. Result, I had to drive 100 miles out of my way at $0.79 per mile (who wins here?) to get a truck that was now more expensive and inconvenient for me. Nice work U-Haul.

Pat VOther than the fact I had to drive 1 hour each way to pick it up when I had reserved it for the town I live in, I received no notice that I couldn't pick it up locally. Just by luck I checked the day before. I had to change travel plans to accommodate the extra travel time.

Tamera GI reserved the trailer at the Granby, CO uhaul store. I was never advised that their only 6'x12' enclosed trailer had been broken down for a long period of time YET I reserved said trailer online a month before the desired pick up date. NOBODY BOTHERED TO CALL ME TO TELL ME THAT I COULDN'T GET IT AND WOULD HAVE TO DRIVE ONE HOUR AWAY TO A DIFFERENT STORE. I am VERY upset by this poor communication and horrible customer service. What will UHaul do to restore this relationship? (I have been a regular customer for years and that is all about to change.)
