The staff at this location really helped me out after UHaul corporate completely threw our moving experience for a loop. Why allow me to pick a time and place to pick up if you're just going to change it? I had to reorganize my entire move around this seriously flawed business structure.

Staff at the location is rather friendly and helpful. They seem to have a good availability of vehicles except near the end of the month/beginning of next month, which is to be expected since everyone is moving. I've rented 3 times from the location in the past few weeks and the vehicles could be cleaned, but they are newer vehicles so they work well.

It would be nice when you make arrangements 18 days prior to your pickup and your told that they don't have the truck that you has reserved had a one way from Lancaster to Camarillo for a 27 ft truck to be pick up at 9 am and they say that they can only offer me a 10 ft truck and pick it up. At 12 noon. Has to find a larger truck and found a 15 ft which was two small and has to make two trips and two days costing. About 280.00 more I don't know if I will every tent from U haul again

Truck smelled of smoke. Location was not easy to navigate as maps point to back of building. Employee rushes you in and out and doesn't explain much. NO MASK was being worn by employee or other customers. Felt very unsafe as important business practices and state mandates were not being followed. Customer service needs to be taught.

I rented a $19 per day Uhaul. I picked it up, my couch was too big and I brought it back in 30 mins and was charged $36 for a $19 per day rental. Called Budget and they had the size I needed and charged less

I was charged $88.30 which I was told I was gonna be charged when returning the vehicle now on 10/29/2020 I have been charged an additional $64.95 with no explanation. I have called and put on hold with no one returning to the line. WTH kind of business is this!

Next time make sure u-box is ready to go on day it is scheduled to be picked up and do not try to upsell storage at your location because of this.

The service was good the people that work there are super nice, but omg it's ridiculously expensive, after all the fees I paid $115 for a 24 hs pick up. I mean it's LA! I drove from Thousand Oaks to Moorpark to Beverly Hills, stopped for essentials and drove back that's it. I would NEVER rent with your company again. Enterprise or AVIS was almost half the price... too bad they were out of trucks when I needed it, now I know why.

I called Westlake storage because I've used them in the past a couple of times through Uhaul. Spoke to the manager James who also runs the business, explained to him that I have used his location in the past and booked a truck. When I arrived at Westlake Storage in Westlake I was told that his business has moved, the new place is in Newbury Park which he did not tell me. I called him and asked him where he's located, told him it would've been nice if he told me that when I called and said they moved 3 months and other people know!! The guy is unapologetic and lacks customer service skills. The truck was disgusting inside and out, I walked in to ask him if he was going to check it and he told me to take pictures, I was in a rush so I just took pictures and left. I also shared with him that I had just given him a 5 star review on yelp and he just continued to discuss the rental and answer calls while I was still talking. I did a late night drop off and was charged a cleaning fee, called the next day and told the kid who helps him to have him call me and have not heard from James. NEVER again am I giving my business to this man nor will I recommend him. I

I did not end up storing my items at this facility as they are dishonest and do not give you one month of free storage as advertised unless you move in on the first day of the month which is in line with their billing cycle.

The truck would not start every time I stopped the motor. I called roadside assistance, no one answered the phone for 30 minutes. eventually opened a trouble ticket. Waited on the side of the road for help. bought a jumper battery. lost valuable time. I called the local HQ office and was told they could not help me. left a message for the supervisor "Lee"

When we arrived, the requested appliance truck/dolly was not available because u-haul doesn't necessarily guarantee accessories will be available, only that they'll try. I don't blame the people at Westlake Storage Solutions for this. This is a distribution of supplies issue for u-haul to work out. The folks at WSS gave us helpful pointers regarding protecting ourselves regarding in/out mileage and identifying pre-existing damage to the vehicle. They also went out of their way to contact the other local locations to see if there were any of our requested dollies available. When that search came up empty, we were provided a smaller cart and a ratcheting strap that worked as he had promised. We had no issues getting our move done. His confidence in the backup plan gave us confidence. This is a new location for u-haul. The site looks like it is still being set up, but the crew is hustling and knowledgeable and helpful. And if we need a u-haul in the future, we'll consider them first.

When someone books a truck 2 weeks in advance you can make sure to have the truck at the location they selected. I did not appreciate having to drive an extra 5-7 miles to pick up and drop off the truck.

Moving is always hard to deal with. so anything to make it easy is always good, to lighten the stress load. Which U haul did provide for me. NO STRESS. Max and James were EXCELLENT.

This location has not changed there address on yelp. It can be a little challenging to find the location. Having a small sign off of Lawrence and through the parking lot would be helpful.

Make sure your wearing a mask Make sure windows are very clean so customer can see out of clearer. Make sure back of bed is swept and no broken glass on floor . Do a complete checklist , no dolly or moving pads were available in truck , I did not notice till after I was at my designation

Location was confusing via google/GPS. Need signs pointing to the front of the office/building when entering driveway into complex. Truck was dirty inside. I had to wipe down seats, etc. Floor had dirt and dog hair. Staff was friendly, professional and courteous. Best uhaul staff I've experienced hands down.

Staff is not well trained and rude. Even the owner of the location was rude and unprofessional. One should always leave there personal life at home and remain professional while on the job. I was not walked to my truck and was sent to the wrong area. Worst Uhaul experience I have ever had.

My reservation was at the Oxnard location. When I arrived at my reservation time to pick up my trailer, I was told that it was returned damaged, could not be rented, and was the only trailer of that size they had. I have no idea why Uhaul couldn't call me and tell me that the trailer was damaged before I drove all the way to their location. Fortunately, the TO branch (in Newbury Park) had a close match in stock, so I drove the opposite direction and picked up a trailer just a bit later than planned. Note that the TO location still isn't built out, so while there are Uhaul vans in the parking lot, the storefront still looks like a different business.

The worst customer service I've ever experienced. Moved my u-boxes to a different location without telling me, had to drive to old location to find out. Was told I'd get a phone call about it, never did. Had to drive to new location. Move-in day arrives, u-box delivery is 2 hours late, then get a phone call that fork lift is broken. This place is TERRIBLE.

The trailer had a bad tire on it which blew while we were on the freeway with a loaded trailer. We had bought the insurance for safe towing. We were stuck in a bad area on the I5 in 100 degree heat called Uhaul held for an hour and no one answered. We submitted an online claim and no one answered. Finally we took care of it ourselves with an emergency tire service. When we turned in the Uhaul we told the guy we had a blown tire. He asked nothing about it how we fixed it, which tire it was, etc. he just said that's too bad. Offered no refund for the insurance or what we paid to have the tire fixed. Just checked us out and I suppose Will rent the trailer again. I called Uhaul to request a refund for the insurance and the tire we paid for. Waited 25 minutes to talk to Customer Support. Was told I need to talk to Customer Service. Told them I thought I was talking to Customer Service. They said no we're customer support. I hit the wrong Option. REALLY???? Overall very aggravating and unsafe experience.

The ONLY reason I am giving any favorable marks is due to John. He is personable & provided great follow up & follow through to assist in correcting issues that were not his to fix. Uhaul put me through hell after my reservation was confirmed, not once, not twice but three times. This took up valuable hours of my time & the ones I got, I had to pay double for the mileage by paying for both ways & then back tracking after I was done to return it. NOT OK!! Also not ok to have to suffer driving a truck both ways that had no air conditioning, in triple digit heat!! I had my confirmed reservation 1st THEN I made arrangements to find & rent a new storage space. Just after I rented a space, Uhaul called me to say they made a mistake & then the nightmare experience with Uhaul began. Uhaul will not be my choice next time. I even called right after I got a truck to tell them the gas was not at the level as stated on the paperwork. This was not changed prior to me returning the vehicle, causing it to tell me I would be charged for gas that wasn't even there when I got it.
