I was told I could get the rental for $50 less if I returned it to Leesburg. Since that was further away I declined as I would be over my mileage limit. I ended up getting charged an extra $4.84 as I was over the limit by 11 miles. If you wanted to keep my business you should have waived those extra mileage charges.

I'm not sure why the truck couldn't have been available before opening with the dropbox and selected mobile pickup. The truck was pretty dirty, but otherwise, everything was smooth. The mobile app process is atrocious.

The store was not very appealing. It was small and not as well organized or well stocked as some U-Haul stores we have visited. The truck ran well but was clunky and very noisy. It rattled in the lower gears. A big plus was the inclusion of a hand truck in the back of the truck. Another plus was that we reserved a 10' truck but none were available so they gave us a 15' truck for the same price.

I traveled from West Virginia to this location to pickup up a 15' foot truck and was not very familiar with the area. My GPS took me to a once large shopping mall that had diminished to what looked like maybe four merchants. I circled this Valley Ave., parking lot attempting to locate the U-Haul office, but there was a line of people (the majority were not wearing masks) that stretched about a half mile and attempting to get into some kind of bargain store in the mall's row of empty properties. I called the Valley Office U-Haul to ask were they were located because I could not see the office through the crowd from my vantage point, and a rude and short tempered lady gave me several land marks, which I identified one for her, but she stated that there was nothing further she can tell me other than what she had! When we finally saw the U-Haul through the crowd, my wife and I walked through a crowd towards the office and were challenged by some in the crowd of our jumping the line and threatened us. When we finally made it into the office there were two women working the counter and seemed as if they had just walked out of the establishment's backroom from a bad night's sleep. They were both wearing pajama bottoms. They were both cursing up a "f*ck" assault with each other about the crowd outside and how one posted something on Facebook with a photo of the crowd. The entire time my wife and I are standing there simply wanting the keys and direction to the location of the truck so we could get out of there, yet have to listen to these too argue about how they were no longer going to keep the store open while those people were lined up outside. Twenty-minutes later I get the keys to the truck, get pointed in the right direction from the customer service desk, and then the two U-Haul workers walked out behind my wife and I, and closed the Valley Ave., site. This is the worst experience I have had with ANY moving company and I served 30-years in the military and had plenty of moves. I paid money to get a service for a simple truck that was very time sensitive and this experience turned into my having to be extra polite with two customer service representative so they can stop bitching and give me they keys and contract. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! Will your good sense of customer service or living by the "Golden Rule," propel you to offer me a partial refund for the trouble I encountered with the Valley Ave U-Haul establishment? Staff and quality of service was top-notch. My only issue was that the windows were very very dirty inside and out. Quick, easy, informative. I was asked if I needed more supplies, I was given information about insurance and all applicable benefits. 10/10 would recommend.

They over charged me because they couldn't see my contract. The lady knew my total was wrong but still charged me anyways and said her boss would call me. Her boss never called me. This makes uhaul look bad. I'm still waiting to hear from someone.

Always a great experience. This location is my go to place for all my trailer needs. Why buy a $2000-$3000 trailer when you can rent one for $25 including insurance! I'd have to rent it 100 times before I'm at a loss. Additionally, there's no upkeep or personal property tax. It's clearly a win-win. Thanks to your entire team!

Put a bigger sigh over the door. Make sure trucks are in top condition. The driver's seat could not be moved forward. The truck wouldn't start easily as the ignition switch is faulty probably.

The lady running the operation was friendly and the process went quickly. I had trouble lifting the trailer onto the ball of my truck, she came out and lifted the damn thing onto the truck and again removed it when I returned. Please see she is recognized for her customer service and satisfaction. She probably needs a raise in salary too. I'll rent here again!

When I arrived there were 3 women sitting out front of the location all smoking and talking. When I walked up no one even got up someone just yelled out can we help you do you have a reservation. I replied yes and then another very sloppy put together women yelled not at this location. So we walked inside and sure enough I did have the reservation and seeing that I was disappointed thus far the lady tried to apologize but honestly it was too late. Not to mention outside where they were sitting it reeked of marijuana. Not a good experience.

I received confirmation of a 6x12 trailer only to be notified 2 days before that I would have to go to a different location/city to pickup the trailer at 4pm. NOT ACCEPTABLE. I had to settle for a 5x8.

I was quite shocked that the affiliate working the counter took a picture of my driver's license (front and back) on her PERSONAL PHONE!! She said she had to do it that way because the company does not provide another way to capture the information. MAJOR problem that my personal information is on a stranger's personal phone. After she uploaded the information to the company she did not offer to delete the photo. Is this U-Haul corporate policy?

The gas tank was half full and the location marked it half full without checking the gauge. When I dropped it off I had to put more gas in it than I should have. Will check another rental company before I would select Uhaul. Dave

I thought pick up was bad...but the drop off takes the prize! Arrived at location, it was 9:40am sign in window said be back in 30 min... I waited 30 min. then unhitched trailer which i parked in front of store next to a uhaul truck and continued to wait. at 10:30 a lady cones walking across the parking lot yelling at me “your gonna have to move that trailer” I responded i had waited 45 min and had to go. She responded with “ whats your problem, you have to park trailer over there, “ no signage indicating that just a parking lot full of uhaul vehicles. “ Don't you have any common sense?” her exact words... despite her abject rudeness i moved the trailer. WTF Uhaul as you can see in my records ive rented 3 times in the last several months and i will do everything in my power not to use uhaul again! I do not like spending my hard earned money with an organization that treats me like they are doing me a favor and verbally insults me on top of that. You might think you have a corner on the market but other ways are possible with out uhaul. I recommend you talk with your franchisees cause they are not helping your bottom line! A very displeased customer!

This was not the drop off location that was originally agreed upon in the initial contract. The truck was initially scheduled to be dropped off at the well town Pike location in Winchester, not the valley Avenue location.

I have rented several u-haul trailers over the last few years and this location provided the least support for pickup. Made me attached and pull the trailer around for their inspection - there was a light rain and I guess getting wet or lifting the 6x12 trailer hitch is not part of the job. I am 77 years old so it was alright for me to do it.

This U Haul office was conveniently located; however, the signage was small (I spotted it from the other U-Haul vehicles). I would recommend a sign closer to Valley Road to indicate where the office is.

I realized within half an hour of collecting the trailer that my load would not fit and contacted the office. The girl who was very nice apparently contacted the area manager who said tough, I had already left the yard so would have to pay full price. I rent about twice a month lately, bad business to screw me like that. I'll go somewhere else in future.

Inside of cab was very dusty. Had to walk to back parking lot to get truck and felt very unsafe. Someone was wondering around the trucks in the back and I would have appreciated picking up the vehicle at the front lot . Staff has always been professional and friendly at this location. Will come back.
