The man I dealt with was rude, and when I went to pick up my truck at 1:30pm he told me he gave it away to another customer. I reminded him that I had a booking and that I called to confirm the day before. He then looked into it and had to call the other costumer, I did not get the truck until 2:30pm, with a half tank of gas. When I returned the truck the next day because I rented it for 24 hours, the man tried to tell me I owed him a lot more money because I was late returning it. Over all I would never rent from that location again and I would suggest you remove his store as a location you use.

One windshield wiper not working and out of windscreen washer fluid on a day that was really snowy and needed it working! U-Haul there on time but wasn't clear this wasn't a real U-Haul location but a convenience store. Guy was friendly but the km charge was different than quoted (I was quoted $0.59/km but was charged $0.89/km or $1.48/mile) even though I mentioned it to him.

UHaul is the best way to move!! I had no idea it was so inexpensive and easy to rent a whole cube van to move. I was able to get everything moved in one trip and it cost less than it would have to borrow a friends truck and fill the tank. Really great experience overall! 10/10 would recommend :)

Train this dealership how to use the U-Haul software. I worked with the owner. It took over 15 minutes to get the keys. And this was a pre-booked rental. Truck says it needs oil change and was running poorly.

Guy at the winks store wouldn’t give final inspection of vehicle, nor would accommodate giving an extra hour with the vehicle. Was pretty rude and not accommodating at all. Front cabin still had items in it from previous trips. Instead of going and looking at mileage and gas gauge himself forced me to go it and take pictures of them (twice) rather than looking himself. I’ve taken uhauls many time before by this was just absurd.

I was scheduled to pickup at 2:30 pm, but when I arrived there, they said the previous person didn’t return yet. Then they called the person to return back & told me to wait. They should’ve checked that way before the next pickup. I had to wait 45 minutes for that which also caused me big problem as we were moving and there was time restriction that had affected me financially as well. They changed a penalty for late return to the previous person, however, they didn’t offer me any discounts. You guys should have discounted me in this circumstance as the issue wasn’t monitored professionally by your lazy staffs. Anyway, no more U-Haul from this location in future. Time is very important to me. Extremely bad experience.

I booked a truck and one dolly but the dolly was not available. The person in the location said that I had to pickup the dolly in another location.

I called the 37th str SW calgary location on July 17 to book U-Haul. The agent mislead me about where the address was. Finding the actual address caused me lots of issues. Second, the agent misinformed us that we can drop off the uhaul ANYWHERE in Calgary when we were told we can only drop at same location. This misinformation cost us a lot of grief and unnecessary charges.

Don't ask when I will return truck. If I am being charged a daily rate, then shouldn't need to put in exact time of return. I guessed I would need vehicle for 4 hours and then worried when I went 2 hours past my estimate. Would I have an extra charge, was the truck reserved by someone else?

You need to redo how you charge for your service. I will explain; When I ordered the Uhaul I was told that the cost was $19.50 and .89c per kilometre used. When I arrived to pick up the vehicle the attendant briefed me on the same deal. He did not mention any additional costs or fees. Further when I took possetion of the vehicle it had less than 1/4 tank of gas however I wasn’t worried as I knew I would not be driving any more than 20km with the vehicle and at the end of the day I clocked a total of 19km. When I returned the vehicle your agent wanted to charge me an extra $35 or more on top of the rental cost AND charge me the KM used on the vehicle. He proceeded to print out some contract that I have never seen or signed and attempted to hold me to said contract. I challenged the contract on the basis that the first line of the contract stated that I agreed that the fuel provided was at least 1/4 full which it was not at the time so the matter was settled where I only paid for the cost of the rental. The solution that I propose is that the process to rent a UHaul should be more simplified; for example be more transparent with the costs or always have the UHaul topped up with fuel at the end of the day. For example, if I rent a UHaul, the fuel tank is full, I am charged a flat rate for the equipment and then I am responsible for fueling the vehicle at my own cost at the end of the day or else I am charged extra for the fueling upon return if I choose the eat the cost.

I was grossly over charged. The process was not explained properly. Returning the vehicle took 30 minutes driving around the very busy parking lot looking for a spot. This was a most unpleasant experience for me I rented for 2 days I am charged for 6 days very poor and nebelous way of doing business.

The workers at the store were not trained and told us incorrect information. In their email with the receipt, they charged us incorrectly based on the information they told us. I have been trying to contact them but cannot reach anyone. The email they sent me with the receipt (with wrong total), I was not able to "reply" to it and the email address they provided to respond also did not work. Please contact me- 780-399-8989.
