I rented a tow dolly and between booking online and picking up in person nobody informed me that you can’t tow an AWD vehicle with a dolly. I wasted money and a lot of time. When asked for any type of refund was simply told sorry there’s nothing I can do. I drove 5 hours and wasted $130 because you’re people aren’t trained, informed, or even helpful. When I returned the dolly I was lucky to have someone there who was a customer with tools to help otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to take the dolly off the hitch. All around very poor service and product. I’ve hooked boats and trailers up to my hitch in seconds and never needed a tool to do it. The hitch screwed down and I’ve never even seen that before.

Our truck was not pulled up for us. We had to walk to the back lot and get it ourselves. THEN we had to clean the snow off ourselves.(Fri) The truck sat at our hotel for 2 days then would NOT start. we had to jump start it (Sun) Then the next morning after unloading it would not start again. It had to be jump started AGAIN! (Mon) This is totally unacceptable, we will need to be compensated in some way or we will not be using U-Haul again.

My reservation was not honored. I called a month prior to reserve a 20' truck. When the day came, neither the location nor UHaul CS called to let me know they had no truck for me. I didn't find out until I walked in. CS Manager (on 9/29) Nina was very unprofessional and rude in her tone and demeanor. I hope that call was recorded. I would never recommend them to anyone. They have the worst CS I have ever experienced. Even when I called to complain today, I was put on hold and disconnected from 3 times. They claim a manager will contact me within 72 hours......we'll see if that happens.

I rented a cargo van, which had apparently been used previously to move some pieces of drywall. The back of the van should have been swept out to remove the dust and small pieces of drywall left behind by the previous renter. Aside from that, the vehicle was very clean and the process was quick and easy. Thanks!

Overall the wreck room set us up right away and before we knew it we were hooked up and ready for our long trip.

Nothing. Original pick up was supposed to be in Hodgkins but no truck was available so the drive to villa park to get a brand new truck was well worth it. No problems with truck.

The rep wasn’t the most friendly person. It seemed like I was an inconvenience to him. He didn’t even assist disconnecting the dolly. Not real impressed.

It's perfect for returning a trailer. Plenty of room to maneuver and plenty of spots to back the trailer into. And it's only two blocks from my house! :)

The person who processed the return of my rental could not have been more annoyed that I was bothering him. He acted as though I was causing a big inconvenience by spending money there. I have a need for a rental truck about 10 times per year. This is my second visit there and it will be MY LAST!!

It was very difficult locating an enclosed trailer and 'Bob' at your Grey's Lake, IL location did what 3 other dealers would not do by locating the only enclosed trailer in a 40 mile radius and reserving it for me. I was in Illinois making arrangements for my mother's funeral and 'Bob' saved my stressful ordeal by going the extra mile. I am going to buy him dinner and drinks when I return to Illinois for the Estate sale!!! He is an amazing gent and a life saver for me!

My overall experience was negative. From my initial phone call to my pickup, the customer service was terrible. I felt as if I was putting them out by asking to reserve a truck. If I had more time to look for a truck, I would have never rented from them. When I picked the truck up, the man was rude again. I asked if I would be charged right away or when I returned the truck because I needed to move money from my savings into my checking account. He said I would be charged when I returned the truck. So I didn't transfer money at the time of rental. I walked out to the truck and got a notification that my bank account had been charged and went negative, thus giving me a NSF charge. I called the man in the office and asked him about it and he hung up on me. I was still in the parking lot so I walked back inside the office. He was helping other customers when I walked in. When I restated that the reason I had asked when I would be charged was because I had to move money from savings to checking to avoid a NSF, he said "It's not my problem you don't have any money, it went through on our end " I was mortified he said that at all but especially in front of other employees and customers! I will never go back to uhaul at the Wreck room with that kind of treatment and I will express my opinion on every social media platform possible to inform everyone I can.
