  • Look into public transportation – The MARTA rail system runs from the heart of downtown Atlanta and branches out in all directions. If you live close enough, you may be able to take public transportation to work.
  • Bring your bicycle – Atlanta has an astonishing 100+ miles of bike trails that run throughout the city. Once you get settled in to your new home, bring out the bicycle for a nice ride to explore the city!
  • Have a garage sale – If you are moving south from a colder region, it may be a good idea to clean out the closet as well as your garage. More than likely, you probably won’t need your winter coats, boots and snow shovels in the mild Atlanta climate.
