Truck was ready to go, however the self service definitely needs some work. The check-in system never revealed the code for the padlock so that I could get the keys to the truck. I had to spend an hour with customer service before anyone could give me the unlock code.

U-Haul self service was a horrible experience. I lost time because I had to wait until Compass was open. (Not Compass Storages fault) The self pick up person was terrible. Compass had the truck parked and ready to go. I had to leave without a truck and come back later. I would fire the self pickup person I dealt with.

Well first of all it would help if corporate would call back when there's a problem when I booked it was 45 c a mile they charged me 79c I called and some one was to call me in 48hrs so far no call I've rented from another location at 45c I'll never use Uhaul again and I will never recommend them again so much for your coustomer service I guess you got your money after ripping me of tks

Stop the $19.95 per day plus mileage with the small letters plus fees. I rented your truck for 2 days drove 98 miles $139.00 So knock off the bs

We were not offered a walk around of the truck when we picked it up. It was discovered during the ride down that the front right tire was extremely wobbly/loose. We were only able to drive 55 MPH the entire trip from MI to Bowling Green, KY

the first location I was told to go to was awful on 23 mile road in Shelby Twp. The owner called and said he was closing early due to a "family emergency" and I wasn't able to rent from him because he had to leave, poor customer service. After much time, I was bale to rent at another location and received great customer service

Overall a very good experience but strange - started looking on line and found price of $230 to pick up at Hayes Rd location in Shelby Twp, MI. and deliver to 10,000 Coldwater Rd in Ft. Wayne, IN. - called Hayes Rd location and had price of $204. That's good. At this location boxes and paper were far more expensive than on line. - Received a call that pickup location wouldn't have the truck, need to go a few miles further away. Not a big deal. Also from this person noticed that contract was only 219 miles and when i drive a car it's 220 miles without pickup and drop off, and wasn't sure I could pack, drive, unload in 2 days. Agent gave three extra days and 40 miles more no charge. - Pick up truck and learn that need to call for drop off location as some U haul lots are so full they can't accept any more trucks. Still not a big deal. - Called and dropped truck at 4611 Coldwater Rd., Ft. Wayne. This place was big. Book boxes (or small size) are not 68c, less than Home Depot and comparable to WalMart. - So confusing, but overall excellend equipment and excellend price.

We stood in line for a very long time because the ONE worker was overwhelmed with a couple in front of us. He needed some backup. He finally looked up and asked if we just need to drop the trailer off, and we were like yes. Then it was all fine.

Hello, this review format is misleading. I have no problem with the location of Compass Self Storage, But which location I do have a huge problem with is: North American Radiator 5920 Auburn Rd Shelby Township, MI 48317 (586) 254-1980 That is the location of the original reservation that was confirmed through an email on 5/15/2017. As I showed up on Saturday for the vehicle pick-up all 17' vans were rented out and I was sent to Compass Self Storage LLC. The customer service representative at North American Radiator made it sound as if this was a planned change of location, but I have not received any upfront notification(email or call) informing me of the change. Not only is that a major inconvenience - on a day when I need everything to function like clockwork the most important piece of the puzzle gives me a hard time - but it added a significant amount of miles to my final bill. On top of that this is the second time I had a problem with North American Radiator. The last time they haven rented out a vehicle I had reserved well in advance and I had to move with a much smaller van resulting in additional unplanned trips. Also when I called the U-Haul customer hotline yesterday I was not put through to a customer service representative to talk to but was informed of the online survey which now takes additional time away. All this is extremely frustrating (again that does not apply to Compass Self Storage) and I am expecting some sort of compensation for the inconvenience and additional dollars spent. Depending on how this complaint is treated I will assess if I will ever do business with U-Haul again and if I would recommend others to do business with U-Haul as well. I called two hours before my scheduled return time to as if an additional two hours of time was possible. A female answered the phone and asked for my information to make a note. A half hour after my original return time a gentleman called to say I was last for drop off, I informed him that I spoke to someone else about returning the rental later but apparently there were no new notes in my file. He was very rude as if it was my fault for the mix up. It just left a bad impression.

When I called the number provided to let them know I would be a late for pick -up there were many prompts to talk to a person. My call was dropped. A short cut to confirm the pick up would be great. The staff was helpful and my experience was effortless once I arrived.

The location and price were ideal, however when we went to return the truck during open business hours noone was there. It directed us to use a call button but noone answered. After trying this for over 15 minutes we called the store and were forwarded to a call center which said someone would call my cell quickly. Noone ever called my cell so after another 10 minutes we called the hotline back and told them we left the keys in a drop box we found on the side.
