Outside customer service person when truck was returned was not very friendly or helpful. The gentleman who checked us in was extremely kind, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Truck was dirty, could not tell if truck was scratched or just dirty. Several places were dirty oil, not scratches. Nice truck, easy to drive. Costly to refill. Gas tank very large.

Phone inquiries were generally unhelpful, in fact some customer service people were downright rude! Lakewood Washington and Moving Helpers were nice to work with, however, one table was received irreparably broken. I believe it was poor packing by moving Helpers. Agent in charge of deliveries in St. Cloud was unresponsive to my inquiries, and quite rude. In general, using this service has been difficult at best. It will not be hard for me to discourage folks from using this service for long distance situations.

We reserved a cargo van and when we went to pick it up they were renting it out to someone else.

Better customer service had charge $13.50 for fuel even though we gave it as it was received and got charge $7 for dolly which we never used and tried call customer service they said manager will call you and never received call yet went to location to talk and lady who did inspection did agree that she made mistake and will talk to manager to refund $20.50 but still waiting for manager to call and resolve the issue. Call again to customer care and they said they can't do anything I have to wait for manage because managers are busy and they can't help so I would say I have never had this problem any other location till I have to deal with this.

Was having issues with card reader at checkout. When I brought the van back I had only driven 20 miles and I had put in 10 dollars in gas which was over 2 gallons and that should have covered the 20 miles I drove. Your new gas saver vehicles. I understand it is only 4.50 but I was told it was only 4 for a gallon of gas. I feel like being taken advantage of, should close out with the customer before we leave instead of finding this out in an e-mail, and then have to wait up to 3 days to (possibley) have the situation remedy. That is poor customer service practice! I know it is only 4.50 difference but it is the principals of the matter. U-hual will be my last choice if any after this.

Majority of the experience was okay. We were sent by another location due to that location giving us a truck with no ramp which should always be a conversation with customers given that the instructions the renter/customer sign off on show a ramp and they sign that the ramp was shown to customer. A rep DID NOT come out to the truck but gave me the paperwork to go look the truck over myself which I figured was fine UNTIL I returned the truck. Upon return the rep came out and did a thorough inspection including checking the fuel level, all lights, ramp, etc. Given the fact that no one checked all this with me before I left, it's unreasonable that you'd expect that the customer thought to check brake lights and blinkers if not prompted to by the staff. The location was busy, had long lines of customers but still.... the inspection should either be done this way both at pickup and at return OR at least during the pickup. Having it done ONLY after the fact is pretty shady since most people don't even know what to check for and aren't going to learn until it's simply too late to mention and that is not good practice. During the discussion of when I'd be bringing the truck back, a 2nd day charge was also never once mentioned. We talked about the truck being reserved the next day for another customer at 1pm and the possibility of me dropping it off after hours and how to do that and it was all no worries, get it here for the next customers reservation if possible and that was it. Then upon return I was told that there actually WAS A DUE DATE of 9pm the night before and I'd have to pay another day. The manager fixed this but still.... managers shouldn't generally be needed for day to day simple business. The rep that rented it never mentioned, the rep who took the return was adamant about policy. Maybe the first rep was just way too easy going and the second rep way too not easy going (actually to the point of being rude) and reps could use some training to maybe merge it to the middle. Overall a decent experience.

I made a reservation a month in advance. The day before pick up I was notified that my 2 units I rented have been changed to 2 separate locations. How much advance notice do I need to give so this does not happen? Personally I feel this is ridiculous.

This particular facility was over ran with equipment, nowhere to park. Customers had to play musical parking spaces so others could get the equipment they were renting, severe lack of adequate parking areas for customers. I had a reservation, a good in line to get to counter, where there was No one assisting customers. One employee outside helping a customer, eventually a customer knocked on door to garage, a second employee emerged from and began helping a customer. That employee finished with that customer and then immediately disappeared back to garage where a 3rd employee emerged from, covered in auto grease and began helping next customer, as I was to be next, I waited my turn, took care of my reservation paperwork and payment. At which time, the employee helping me finished with me took my paperwork, stated that she would be out shortly to help me and then disappeared to garage, while I waited over an hour, going in several times to find either the employee or my paperwork, found neither. Finally I tracked down the only employee working amongst customers and he reprinted my paperwork, as it was nowhere to be found, and we proceeded to play musical parking spaces with another customer so we could get hooked up to our equipment. They were over ran with equipment , understaffed and making arrangements they couldn't follow through with.

They were under staffed. I was called up to the counter to pickup my truck. As soon as your employee got my information he stopped and went to deal with another customer. I stood there for 15 minutes until another person finished my transaction. That to me is unprofessional. Do not call a person up to the counter, if you're not ready to help them. This is not my first bad encounter at this location.

I would like to say the cost is way high for the truck. Advertisements states on price then you all say another which is twice as expensive. This is not right for the consumer as many people live pay check to pay check TOO HIGH UHAUL!

This whole process was a nightmare. I reserved a specific trailer to be picked up a couple miles from my house (Wilderness Chevron Maple Valley). I find out two days before that they will not have the trailer. Trying to figure out the reason anyone makes a reservation if it is essentially pointless. I was able to pick up a trailer 2+ hours away. I had to take the morning off work to pick up the trailer. I can say that ever person I spoke with at Uhual, locations and phone, were all great. Just a bad process these guys have to live with. I will look at other options for my next need of a trailer.

Price was okay for the vehicle but the additional charges just because a customer has to move on the weekends is outrageous! I rented a 15 foot truck and I'm sill in the same state but I paid 3 times the amount for what I needed to do all because of the mileage and it was under 100 miles.

When I was waiting to pick up the Uhaul, scheduled for 5pm. I was there by 445pm, and they allowed someone who got there after me to get help they didn't ask who was next or anything. So I didn't get out of there until 6pm. That is not okay to wait almost an hour after I got there. It was the female who checked the uhaul out to me. The seat also didn't move toward or back very easy I had to have an employee help move the seat.

No onsite parking is challenging. The site was not prepared to address online check in, even though I had done it at that location before. They did work to address the issues. It was an adequate experience, but not great.

The truck was extremely dirty, especially the windshield. The attendant sprayed down the windshield though the interior of the truck remained dirty. Also, I was told I could drop my truck off at any location in Vancouver which proved to be difficult seemingly to be caused by an administrative error at this location.

I simply dropped off the vehicle at the location after business hours. I wasn't able to meet anyone. I did call the following day or the day after and spoke with someone. They were very polite and courteous. They assured me that the truck and Dolly was processed as a return. I then also received an email confirming the conversation.

I reserved a 15 ft. Truck and because I changed my pick up time by a couple of hours I was given a cargo van which meant more trips and no loading ramp, which in turn cost me another days rental a phone call would have been helpful as I would have explored other options

My dissatisfaction is not specifically with this location. I reserved a truck and a trailer over a month before my move, probably close to 6 weeks. The store I reserved them at did not have either available. I had to drive 35 minutes to get a 20' truck when I reserved a 26' truck, and then I had to drive to a different location to pick up the trailer. I had to take 2 trips with the 20' truck and then was charged for going over mileage, when if I had the 26' truck I would have been fine.

The employees were very rude and seemed snobby. We got the 36 furniture pads and they laughed at us because we got so many. I would never go here again or ever recommend this place to anyone. Our uhaul was dirty and some of the furniture pads were dirty and had something sticky on them. Very, very disappointed. Also, I wanted my drop off location to be in my hometown. The guy said if we let uhaul choose, we would get a discount. He never told me where the drop off location was, and he never told me if I got my discount or not. So we ended up having to drive about 45 minutes to drop off our uhaul instead of the one in our town. I am very disappointed. Oh and also, no one helped us out with looking at our uhaul while on their property. We had to find it on our own and guess of that was the one they were talking about. Very poor customer service and just completely rude employees. Makes me not want to use uhaul ever again because I had such a poor experience.

My experience with uhaul was very disappointing. I was given wrong information, nothing about my rental was clear and then when I tried to get a solution Wesley the "manager" took my issue as a joke and laughed at my complaint. Not happy at all. Make sure you get everything in writing because verbally being told something does not work!!!!!!!

I picked up the uhaul in Lakewood advising the clerk that I would be attending a antique show for the week. within 24 hours I received a call from the Uhaul clerk wondering why I had not returned the Uhaul. They were advised that I had not checked the Uhaul out for a 24 hour timeframe. I later found out that the chevron gas station was a drop off site and a new Uhaul dealer, I contacted them to learn that I could check the U haul into that site insteas of it being park for 4 days, someone could rent it during that time and I signed up to rent it on the following Monday and return it to Lakewood, Wa on Tuesday. I have been a Uhaul customer for over 10 years and have never received a bill for over $600.00,

The truck leaked when it rained and some of the boxes that were in it got soaked. When I told the U-Haul people, their response was that they would have to find the leak and fix it. Nothing about reimbursing for damaged goods. I will not use them again...

My personal experience with this location was subpar. I dropped off my U-Haul after hours. I received multiple phone calls the next day stating that the truck keys could not be found. I called back multiple times. Customer support assured that I would be getting a called back but I never received a call with an update to have my contract closed out. I received an email the following day with my receipt. I assume the keys were found. All is well now. Thank you U-Haul for making happen.

I just rated this location average as the inside lobby is just a mess! It's like a maze, not very open and customer friendly. There are big stacks of boxes right where you need to stand in line. Then the gals can't see you because of the big racks separating each line. However: The gal that delivered my truck to me was cheerful, knowledgeable and efficient. Very sweet girl.

I stopped by this location to rent an auto transport trailer I was asked if I had a reservation and told them no. The guy told me they have one but it's reserved. I went home got online and that trailer was available at that location. I made the reservation and picked it up. I don't appreciate being lied to because the guy is too lazy to help a walk in customer. Pathetic is all I can say.

The guy who helped me was super friendly and nice, we went outside and i helped him line the truck up to the trailer with ease and i was off. Came back before the 4 hours was up on the truck and he was there to help me check it in and remembered i wanted to pay cash instead of card. Besides him i was impressed with the overall cleanliness of the store and lot and the location was very easy to find. Only suggestion for changes is the layout, it was hard to find a spot to park my car to run in and get the truck and i like how the only public parking was across the street. Also not a bueno idea to park your pickups in a puddle, waterlogged transmissions are not fixable. But other than that, i will be back again to rent from these guys.

At the Lakewood store I received customer service like I never have before, both Brad and Weasley(forgive me if I butchered the spelling on the names) went out of their way to help my wife our daughter and I get on the road toward a successful move. Easily some of the most friendly and genuinely good hearted people I have had the pleasure of meeting in a while and the best customer service experience I have ever had. From buying moving supply boxes, Renting 17' U-HAUL Truck, calling office to extend hours & returning the truck to turn in was really easy and convenient. Customer service overall was excellent. I called the Lakewood U Haul and I was rolling in the truck within 30 minutes. Felicia helped me out upon arrival and she was great. I will definitely be using uhaul again!

Then she said she was closing early because she hadn't eaten since yesterday and she was beat. I was called and told to come get a trailer then for some unknown reason to me I wasn't able to get that one and was called the day of pickup by another person who was very rude and and additional 100 miles out of my way on an island where I'd have to take a ferry. I was so insulted and left in a crises to accomplish what I drove 12 hrs to move that I tried just walking in to a Uhaul in tacoma and they where very kind and directed me to a place within a few miles where I could get the trailer.

The truck looked like it was entered in a demolition derby. It was an embarrassment driving it around and you should be even more so with your logo on the side. I will never rent from uhaul again. The representative I spoke with was great.

The location is truly convenient and the team is great and very helpfull. The location is at one of the towns most busy intersections. Bridgeport way and Pacific HWY have equally high traffic volumes. The out bound route leave few options after you exit. There is no customer parking. The operation is crowded.

This is my second time renting from U-Haul in less than a month I would like to say that running with U-Haul is a big joke they have the worst customer service I have ever encountered I would not refer anyone to U-Haul and I would tell people not to deal with U-Haul it's better to pay more money and go with a different company the employees are rude and the people that work the customer service lines will check your phone number and information and rent you equipment to be picked up in another state even though you did not ask for it I will never deal with U-Haul ever again please be aware to stay away from all U-Haul rental companies especially the one in Lakewood off Pacific Highway and Bridgeport

The cab of the vehicle was full of dog hair when I picked up the truck. Also the oil change needed light was on. The attendant at the front counter did not even do a walk-through of the vehicle or check the vehicle with me they handed me the keys and told me to do it myself. This is the first time I have ever rented any vehicle of any type and not had a company representative do the walk-through with me. I don't know if this is normal for Uhaul but it's kind of crazy. When I turned in the vehicle the young lady outside who took it from me was very friendly and knowledgeable. She made returning the vehicle Pleasant and because of her customer service that is the only reason why I can give this location and average rating. If it would not have been for her I would have said poor. Need to improve your customer service when picking up a vehicle instead of the employee sitting behind a desk having the customer go do their job and bring the paperwork back to them filled out. Need to work on your customer parking as well you had me park my vehicle across the street in a gravel parking lot full of homeless people. I did not feel my vehicle was going to be safe park there.

When I picked the truck up, the lady at the counter said several times, "there is about 1/2 tank of fuel" just put what you use back into the tank. I did not look at the paperwork to see that she actually marked "9/16 full". After finishing our unloading job, I sweep out the van, cleaned it and returned it to the store. There I learn of the "9/16" note of the form and because the van was blocked by other customers, I needed to add 2 gallons more to get it to the "9/16" level. Those 2 gallons cost me $10.34!!!!! I was/am not a happy customer. What can we do to relieve my angst?

Auto transport carrier was rusted and overall questionable shape. I mentioned this to the kid that was assisting me and reassured me that everything was well-maintained. Long story short--all four tires ended up blowing during my move. I lost about a day and a half total because some of the blowouts weren't in cell range and I had to wait hours for assistance. Also, the latch on the cargo door seized up and I had to tie the door in place with rope. I changed out auto carriers after the 4th tire blew. Whoever "secured" the tires straps did not thread them properly. At my first stop after picking up the 2nd AT, I noticed that both tire straps were completely off--my car was essentially just sitting on the back of the transport. Also another thing I didn't realize. Storage units are not pro-rated. I paid for a full months' storage and removed my belongings and closed out less than 2 weeks into the month. No reimbursement for the remaining two weeks. If that unit was rented anytime soon after I vacated, Haul is receiving two different payments on one unit. A COMPLETE RIPOFF. I would never use UHaul again if had another option.

Our original reservation was at Puyallup. We got a call that it was double-booked and they moved us to 96th & Pacific. When we got there the truck wasn't there. The man behind the counter called corporate and made a new reservation and sent us to this location. We were supposed to have $50 credit d/t not having the truck that was supposed to be ready. That didn't happen. They finally found a truck that was huge and scary to drive - 2 1/2 hours later AFTER I drove to Lakewood. No, I would NOT recommend UHaul to a friend. My experience was absolutely HORRIBLE!

Don't tell the customer that they are set and ready to go if they are truly not and remember that if customers time is very valued moving as stressful as it is when you have a reservation and it is confirmed it should be for the time that is confirmed at not 8 hours later. Moving and stressful enough Uhaul should not make it more stressful by not having everything together when you get there vehicle should be check them maintenance you should not have to stop and turn around back to your house or place of the you are moving from to go back to the location that you got your vehicle from to have them maintenance it I have used Uhaul over the past few years and over the last three years it has been a headache to deal with Uhaul as a company not a happy customer
