Needs to be a bench outside to sit on while waiting to get picked up. At this location there is no space for a customer to park their car. I had to stand & wait 15 minutes for my ride. would have been nice to have a bench to sit on.

Truck rank of cat urine had cat hair all over and Bark dust throughout the truck. Would have refused the truck if it wasn't the only one available period due to an emergency on our part we had no choice but to accept it. Not a pleasant experience will not return to this location for any other product

I booked a truck on line. You shouldn't have on-line service if the locatons cannot fulfill the service confirmed. booked 26ft truck for 4:30pm for 24hrs. I received confirmation. When I went to pick-up truck, they would only let me keep the truck til 7:30... Now if I asked for truck for 24hrs... what did they think I was gonna do in 4hrs? It was stupid. customer service was horrible. When we went to square away bill... the lot was full of trucks that size. The guy always has a strange disposition...second time dealing with him. We will NEVER book on-line again..&/ or NEVER go to that store AGAIN!!!!

My experience from stay to finish was horrible. This is going in one of my top three worst customer service interactions. The gentleman who rented the truck to me lacked customer service, didn't even put the keys in my hand. He did not mention my drop off location would be closed and I had to use a drop box drop off. The mileage entered on my truck was inaccurate so I couldn't even properly return the truck. I had to disturb the employees even when the office was closed to give them keys. When I went back to my pick up location, I spoke to a different individual who was very helpful but as I was speaking with him, the other gentleman found it appropriate to interject and argue with me in front of the customer he was helping. I will never rent from here again. I will be speaking with manager and corporate to seek reimbursement for my troubles

Gas tank was stated to be fuller then it was at check out. My son left his new shoes in the truck when we dropped it off. Went back 10 minutes later to pick them up and the worker had them in his personal truck instead of the business.

I dropped the trailer off 45 min late and was charged over $21 just for this. Not good customer service. I won't be using Uhaul ever again. I own my own business and I know that nickel and diming customers doesn't get you anywhere in the long run. I hope the extra $21 was worth it.

Overbooked the van I reserved so I had to get a different size. The man who was cleaning the vans that day either was just having a bad day or really should not work there; he was incredibly rude. When I asked for help finding the right van he told me he was too busy to point it out and to walk back inside to ask someone else. Had to wait in line a second time for them to tell me the man outside really should have assisted me. This uhaul store needs some work.

I think uhaul should look into allowing rental vehicles unlimited mileage for rentals that are a day and more rather than every single mile. I rented a cargo van for two days and i was charged .29 per mile, plus the daily rental, plus the insurance, and all the other fees. That totaled 655+ dollars. I was thrown off by the amount. I was also very disappointed by how much it was just to rent the cargo van for 2 days. Anyhow, i hope you look into that. I understand the charge for each mile if the rental is 1 day, but when its more than a day, can you please have it unlimited mileage and charge by the day. Just a disappointed customer. If i knew it was going to be that much, i wouldve rented from Enterprise car rentals and just fold the back seats down to accomodate my families luggages. Just disappointed. Other than that, the customer service provided was helpful.

Clean and wash the truck!!!!!! Pull the truck out for the customer!!!!!! Walk with the customer to the truck!!!! Especially when it's drivers door is 8 inches from another truck. You can barely squeeze in to it. Poor customer service!! The door moldings were falling off the truck told a employee. He just said were aware of it!! Get it fixed or don't rent the truck out in this condition. I will never use this location or U Haul again after this last experience. Employees have a I don't care attitude and don't smile. They seem to hate there jobs by there attitude's and facial expressions in my opinion. Management needs to improve this location and there customer service skills. I come from 17 years customer service retail sales experience. And this place is a joke!!!! Feel free to contact me if you want to talk.

My only annoying part was they scheduled my pick up place and time at a place that didn't open until after my pick up time. I wish they would have told me on the phone it didn't open till later.

The dashboard had a used paper plate on it that was covered in food leftovers that were still on it. It was gross. And when I showed it to the manager he just blew it off like it was no big thing and would not compensate me for the van not being clean like your company advertises. I would never use U Haul again and I will tell others of my experience.....,., you suck.....!!!!!

Over price mileage rate. Needed truck last minute. No bigger ones available , yet trucks never moved. So had to rent a smaller unit and run up miles. Work for major van line and will not use you again. Need dealt with such a lazy branch.

Haul Load feature was on by default and I didn't know It was on until I heard loud noises going down a hill. Employees were rude and bickered in front of us. They did not provide furniture pads that I requested in my order. I had many problems apart from this location (relocated twice, pushing my start time 3 hours), and the $50 reimbursement is a joke for my troubles because I wasted money on gas driving around and had to pay the same price for 15' truck when I originally reserved a 20' one. I will NEVER use U-Haul and I am telling everyone I know not to rent from your shitty company.

They tried charging me after i had paud at pick up and was under the milage that was available to me. Then tried charging me for a whole nother day because i was 20 min. Late to drop off because the storage place and customer service reps kept giving me the wrong locations to sign my unit paperwork......and i called and spoke to a lady at the location who said i would not be charged for being late. And the guy who looked over my returned truck was very rude to me!

Turning the truck in was a nightmare. It took two hours and driving through three small towns outside of Tacoma. The after hours app wasn't working properly and it wasn't very frustrating and not easy after a long day of unpacking. The phone support was helpful though!

UHaul corporate could start by booking people where they asked to be booked, not 8 miles out of their way. Then Uhaul corporate could take booking fees away from those who cannot follow a customer request. Finally, Uhaul corporate could provide better customer service, by moving desired vehicles between branches (not gas stations) so their already stressed customers don't get moved around when they are trying to pick up equipment.

I was not happy that the location was closed and there was nobody to help me with the 6x12 trailer. I'm a disabled Vet and it took everything I have do try and disconnect the trailer. I say that because I wanted to leave it properly in a parking stall but there were no chock blocks so I left it up against a trucks tire. I'm going somewhere else next time.

When calling in an order for a 26' Truck for a weeks rental, we were told we could order for 24 hours then call back after we had rented and let them know that I needed it later. When I went to pick up the truck the manager wouldn't let me have the truck because I told him I needed it for a week. I had moving help set up that I had to pay and picked up a 26' van that evening. I called U Haul to formally complain. The Uhaul customer rep was very apologetic but could not help with any discounts for my inconvenience. claim. She said that it would be taken up by the district manager and they would be giving me a call. It has been 8 - 9 days now and the district manager has not called.

The staff is friendly. One mini flight of stairs and no elevator kept this from an excellent rating. After five months my stuff was dry and bug free. For storage in Tacoma I would recommend.

I was happy that you had a separate moving company on hand to deliver the boxes at short notice. However, the movers were late because the U-boxes were at another location than specified.

the customer service sucked real bad. I reserved a 17 ft truck days advanced, when I show up to put up the truck I walk around the facility aimlessly for 10 min for someone to help me. when they finally acknowledge me they told me they didn't have a 17 ft truck. what is the point for a reservation if you don't get what you paid for, so they put me in a 15 ft truck which is the same price of the 17 ft but I had to make more trips, which means miles I put on the truck @.88 per mile It should been 50 miles with 17 ft, but it was a 111 miles so it was a extra 44 dollars that Didn't need to spend (this has scam written all over it), to top it all off when I took back the truck the gentlemen didn't have any U-Haul Attire on standing next my door and asked for the keys, He almost got punched in the face because I thought he was a homeless person. This guy was real dirty and his body odor was REAL bad. I would give you a -5 star if I had a option. I will NEVER rent from you guys ever again and I will be sure to pass my experience on to other people

Truck had the suspension of a go-kart. Several glass frames were broken in a 2 mile move on well maintained city roads. I have rented from you several times in the past and it has always been a positive experience until now. When I arrived at the store I asked the gal that was outside where the lobby was because the door didn't open. She explained that they had been kicked into the garage by management. I asked her what they were doing with the other side. He reply was a rude " I don't care". Hardly the attitude I expected and not anyone I would ever have working for me. So tell me, what are you willing to do to keep my buisness?

The transmission on the truck was not shifting properly. Thus causing more fuel usage. The seat belt was loose and Flappy. The steering wheel was loose and at times hard to control. The pedals were set too high. And there was a lot of unmarked damage on the vehicle. Photos were taken to assure no charges become ours.

There should be parking available for customer's personal cars. Also, the seats need more height adjustments for smaller drivers. Representatives should take time to go over the basic features of the vehicle.

I lost my truck key and they told me to call the main number. 2 1/2 hours later I went over there because whenever I got someone on the phone, it was someone who could not help me, and transferred me to wait again and again and again. I went down to the uhaul place and they said there was nothing they could do, that I had to just wait. One employee said they have extra keys but I would have to pay. Then another employee said this was a "new" truck and they did not have an extra set of keys yet. Two hours later, for a grand total of 5 hours off my schedule to move, roadside sent out a locksmith with a key. My cost? $150.00 Two days later I found the original truck key and gave it to the uhaul store. They said nothing. No response. Your company has gone downhill in my estimation, and I will not be recommending your service to people.

Improve your web site. When I checked for a van availability your site told me I would have to go to federalway to get a van. I settled with a truck on your website but when I got to the 92nd street store there were vans available. The gentleman there gave me what I wanted and was an excellent employee. I will do business at the 92nd street again.

stick to peoples reservation. i went in to the uhaul store about 3 or 4 days before i actually picked up and i made a reservation for a whole week. when i came in to pickup the trailer the guy told me that my reservation had been bumped and instead of a whole week it got changed to 2 days. so i had to bring the trailer back in 2 day. I asked what happen he said it was traffic and it was someone above him.

I liked that they will grab you in line to check the truck back in. There was a pretty big line. Wasn't sure where customer parking was, maybe better signage there.

Truck ran great and was a lot less hassle than the other rental places,mainly because there are drop offs in practically any city you choose to move too. that was one of the main reasons w chose u-haul. All other rentals would have to have been driven 60 miles to drop off the truck,120 mile round trip.

The original location I made a reservation at called and said they did not have my reserve box truck available so they changed my reservation to this location. Upon arrival, the clerk informed us that they had lost the keys to the vehicle I reserved, so instead I had to take a small van. This was a huge inconvenience to my moving day. However, the employee who helped me (Collin) was wonderful, helpful and in a great mood. The other employee at the desk next to him was incredibly rude to Collin and other customers.

The location was convenient, however, when I pointed out the issues with the truck (like the mirror held on with electrical tape), I was not acknowledged. Then the agent just walked off, without any indication as to what I was expected to do. Also, the (what I assume was) Manager was quite rude and abrupt. I had just traveled over 1400 miles in just over 24 hours, a better attitude from the store personnel would have been appreciated. Some Customer Service Training may help. I will say, however, the store itself was immaculate, and VERY well organized.

I called the main u-haul line and used the website to rent a truck and was told that the only truck that was available was a 26 footer, which turned out to not be true. The uhaul worker was able to get me the size of truck I needed and for the rate I could afford. The truck however was dirty on the outside and the cab engine cover did not seal, which was allowing engine heat and fumes into the cab. I let the manager know, and he said he would look into it.

The representative who showed us our vehicle and checked us in was rude and inappropriate. We were there first but he served a customer who was returning a vehicle before us then a customer purchasing a lock got served before us as well. After the initial purchase the rep held his hand out and I asked him what he needed and his response was "well I'm not trying to hold your hand, I see that rock on your finger. What you think I'm trying to flirt with you, I need the keys". Then I asked him, "how was it supposed to know you needed the keys" and he responded along the lines of "well do you want your van or not." When I returned the vehicle the next day my husband came with so the rep wouldn't be demeaning anymore. Then he explained the pricing that I would have to pay $90 more than what I already paid because I went more miles then planned. He asked if he could charge the card on file, I asked what card he had on file and he said "well I don't know, you should know" so I told him whatever it's fine. After getting my receipt it was only $20 more than expected. He explained everything poorly and was demeaning and rude.

Owner is very rude. While waiting i over heard manager arguing with two different customers. The first girls credit card wasn't working so she got on the phone with her bank while on the phone the manager starting shouting it's not his fault your broke lady, so go do that somewhere else.the second couples reservation got messed up.while trying to sort things out he startrd telling the couple to learn english before they start arguing with him. Finaly it was my turn to be helped. After completing paperwork i asked where i could leave my car and he told me " i don't know i don't care its not my problem but you can't park here. After all this i started thinking maybe i should pay a little more and go to budget rentals rather than dealing with all this,atleast they're nice courtesy and professional and appreciate my business.

Gas tank needs to be full when rented so there is no discrepencie about the amount of fuel upon return. It's a lose lose for the customer.

I am so disappointed in Uhaul. Over the last two weeks we have spent nearly $1000 with Uhaul, and what do I have to show for it broken tail lights. U guys installed trailer hitch and now my lights are not working. I rented trailer from Uhaul and the gentleman attaching the trailer to the van made my installer help him. And when I originally went to have the trailer hitch installed Wesley said he could not do it. I am a small business and if I treated my customers the way your corporation treats your customers I would be out of business.

Improve on customer service and repair rental trucks. The rep in the morning was very rude when we first showed up to pick up the truck because we parked in the wrong spot. Also, he didn't offer further assistance or offered any products to purchase/rent. Then, the truck we were given for rental, had it's bummer was broken, the truck had almost no gas and the truck wasn't cleaned.

Initially my experience was awesome when I rented the truck. But when I went to drop the truck off at the same location I had rented it from, I was informed that I could not drop the truck off there. Which was upsetting to me. Because I made sure before I had left with the truck, that I could return it to the same location. The man at the front counter could not give me a reason as to why I couldn't drop it off there. Just simply that I had to drive it 10 miles to another location. So after another 20 minutes of trying to get a straight answer, I finally gave up and drove it to the other location. When I arrived I explained to the lady my situation with the truck. She was just as confused as I was. So we went inside to the manager and her and I explained to him the same thing. He told me it made absolutely no sense, considering there was no drop off location listed on my contract. He apologized for the other store and helped me so I could be on my way quickly. I told him he didn't have to apologize and that I was just Thankful he understood my situation.

I rented a flat bed truck to move a very heavy sectional couch and the tailgate didn't even work. It wouldn't go down even though it was unlocked. I told the associate the problem and he just said "okay we'll make a note of it". He didn't even try to compensate me for the hassle and the fact that I was given a defective rental. I had to ask if I could have a credit for the trouble I had to go through which made me feel very uncomfortable. I ended up getting a whole $14.

Very Very poor experience at the Pacific Ave location. When the I originally rented the truck, they asked where I wanted to return it, I told them the same location. When I attempted to return the truck they told me that I had to return the truck to a different location. This made very little sense to me since I was already back at the same store on the due. He then said that I could drop it off but would have to pay a different rate, when I asked what the rate was he told me I was being difficult. So despite being at the same location I rented it from on the due date, there was nothing he could to return the truck.

When I physically arrived to the location at 1745 for a due rtn time of 1800, there was zero U-Haul personnel to inprocess returned trailer as the sign indicated. In addition, there was a back-up of customers inside the building and only two U-Haul personnel working. Due to the lack of efficiency and attempting to resolve a promised $31 credit, the U-Haul local personnel member did not formally in-process the rtn trailer until 1831. Now, I am currently being charged an additional $20.00 for an extra day rental. This is unacceptable period! I look forward to an expeditious response. Whatever happened to customer service? When we got the truck, the blankets and dolly already had their seals broken. We weren't planning on using them, so we made sure to let the attendant know when we dropped it all off that we shouldn't be charged for it. He was nice about it, but it was a little panic inducing when we drove to my apt, opened the back, and saw that the seals weren't intact.

The staff here was OK. I felt bad for them, by the time I finally got to their retail location I was exasperated with U-haul. My complaint is with your bullshit reservation system that sent me scurrying to three different locations to find the correct sized trailer I had reserved a month earlier. And confirmed just 3 hours earlier with the retail location I had reserved the trailer at. Also bitter about multiple phone calls to your dispatch center and a person named Sarah, who lied to me about confirming the trailer location. I'm very unhappy with this rental experience overall. Uhaul was there for me when I needed to move. Customer service in this department needs A LOT of work. The gentleman servicing us kept complaining about his job... I don't take too kindly to employees who complain about their jobs to customers; it makes the company and the person who is complaining look bad. Otherwise, customer service on the phone was GREAT. Very helpful and friendly... answered all my questions as it was my first time renting. There are no hidden fees and the 15ft truck we used came in handy so many times. Worth the rent!!!

Regardless of some of the "bad" reviews I read about the Lakewood, WA and uhals reviews, I found them to be awesome. We had an appointment to pick up in Lakewood, we showed up at our pick up time, the truck had not arrived ( dispatch issue but ok it happens) but the young lady there ( from the Carolinas) was super helpful and found us a truck on the Pacific ave center, went to Pac ave and the truck was ready. Both places the CSR were professional and very helpful. Would use them again. They even recommened a different drop off to save $85. The drop off site in Bellingham center was equally great. The lights on the trailer wouldn't work. it took almost 2 hours figuring it out before they told me that we would have to switch trucks (we had already loaded the 15ft truck) almost an hour later they finally figured it out and we were able to leave but it was very frustrating that we had to get on the road almost 3 hours late and with less gas because the uhaul was left running for so long. Then when we got to the drop off location we were told that the chains were bad and that we were low on fluid. they werent sure if it was low when we got it or if it was leaking on the whole 3000 mile trip. Very disappointed.

Couldn`t get a person on the phone to get my boxes delivered. Called 7 times sent 2 emails. Finally drove 30 minutes to facility to get boxes delivered. The guy who dropped off was friendly helpful.
