ANTHONY B | Overall ExperienceDisappointed with your facility for several things: We had to sit and wonder why the lights were off upon arrival. We already had waited 2 hours bec. we'd read 'open 9 am' online. Then you walked up to motion you were open. We thought maybe you were just running late. Once walking in, we were not greeted nor could see anyone. After calling out 'Hello' 2-3 times, the lady finally responded with either a hello or I'm over here - I forget now which she said, but I still didn't see anyone. Once I realized someone was sitting, I realized, "Oh, she must be handicapped and can't walk.' I was on HOLD with U-Haul during the next 40 min. I was on hold to designate your address with U-Haul 45 minutes. I actually called back after the long wait and pushed another option and was helped within 10 minutes --- for a simple 'add a drop off location' as we'd been asked to provide. I noticed the sign on the restroom door "SORRY. OUT of ORDER". I asked Amber is there was one available. She said she'd put the sign on there so that people wouldn't use it and 'mess up my bathroom'...but that I could use it bec. it really worked. It was clean, but still... My complaint is not on the appearance of the facility, but the rep. She did not act pleasant or courteous the entire time the 3 of us were there. At some point, I asked her if she was the OWNER. She stiffly responded she was a part owner in the company. My husband told me later he's seen you every time he's been there, but never her. I said, 'If she's the owner of this franchise, maybe she's not here too often.' and maybe that was a reason she acted disgruntled to be there the entire time. When she came out to check out the truck return, the other gentleman that pulled up his little truck, I asked him to pull further in so my husband wouldn't be blocking the drive, which he did; I also explained to him I didn't want him to think we were cutting line in front of him bec. we'd already been there 45 min. He was fine with that. Amber came out along with me. As soon as she checked the mileage and front end, she went to check the other man's truck in. We were surprised. My son asked her, "Are you going to check the back of truck or should I leave it open?", assuming she'd forgotten. - we had a stack of blankets that we'd not used and the dolly. She replied that she had to check the 2nd guy in first, then she'd be back over. REALLY? IS this the way it's done??!! We were tired from our moving in too. Since we do business with U-Haul and your location, we like to get along - but it's nice when, as a customer or guest, to get a smile or friendly reception, which we did not. In your business, people may be happy about moving, but usually worn out when returning a truck --- so kindness aka great customer service would have been appreciated. END.

He hired all the right people, all of them knew exactly what to do. Look forward to doing business again but in Piedmont Alabama this time. Piedmont is a drop off but alabama it's still Sweet Home Alabama
