Uhaul attendant failed to answer phone numerous times. We asked for notifications when payment was due but we didn't receive any. We were only informed this week of another Uhaul we could make payments at. We had been told previously by that location that we could not make storage payments there

No one is ever in the office. Rats ate through the ceiling of the storage unit and everything reeked of rat urine and there was rat poop EVERYWHERE. You can’t get a live person to answer the phone and assist. I will not rent from this business again.

We then went down to the main office on Watson Blvd. We wanted to see the units to decide what size we needed. We were told that the people who were in the office at N Houston? 301 Robins West location were at lunch. They called them and they said they were on the way there then. We went back to the N Houston 301 Robins West location and were finally able to talk to someone and look at the units. The hours on the door did not say they closed for lunch so that was kind of irritating.

Lorie S | First ImpressionsI was told this month that I had 20 days to return to Georgia from Arizona where I hold a full time job as a single parent because uhaul had bought another building and were vacating the renters at the old site. Nothing was offered to help me to make that happen, no discount on a truck or anything for the inconvenience. I received a phone call from the manager stating there would be someone at the old facility to move my items to the new location. I flew in and it’s a good thing I rented a car to get around that city because boy, did I receive the run around! Nobody at the facility.. at all! I had to go to another uhaul and of course that poor lady had no idea of my situation. There were three other customers all upset about reserving trucks/ equipment and nothing was available! The poor worker looked so stressed and called the manager due to my situation and the customer prior. I was told a few calls had to be made and to wait. Meanwhile, time is ticking as I have a flight to catch in a few hours and this city is about an hour and a half from the airport. Then, I was told “ okay ma’am, the manager said to go over to the old location and they will meet you there. AGAIN, no one was there for about 20 minutes. A white short bed truck ( not marked with any Uhaul signage and the driver was in regular clothes) pulled in. He said he was there to move me and he didn’t have the code to get into the storage and AGAIN I am waiting! This’ll I asked why he was alone and if he was expecting to move my items in only his truck. He said there are no uhaul trucks available! He said he’s waiting on the manager to come so we can get into the storage. 20 minutes later some young man comes in a mini suv to open the storage with the code and leaves! The original guy starts putting my things in his truck and tells me to go to a third facility to find out which new storage unit it’s all going to. I do that and AGAIN staff is clueless! I reserve a smaller unit than I had before. As I’m getting into my rental car I see the same white truck and he’s waving and honking his horn. I didn’t think anything of it until I had to return to the second uhaul to purchase boxes and I run into the guy who moved my things. He has already unloaded my things into the wrong unit! I tell him which one I reserved and he tells me to let the previous staff member who reserved it know so they can switch it later and to leave my lock and a spare key so they’ll mail it back to me in Arizona! I had no time to argue or fuss because I had to get to the airport. I returned to the place I reserved the new unit and no one was there! Nobody to leave my lock or key with! I left and gassed up my rental , returned to the uhaul and thank goodness the staff was back but I had to hand her my lock and spare key so I could get out of there. I still don’t know if my things are secure! Good thing I shipped my most important things back home. All of this run around when I was the one told more than 20 days prior that I HAD TO COME TO DO THIS, yet they ( uhaul ) were NOT prepared! Also, originally my plan was to haul all of my things back to my state and had reserved a uhaul truck for almost a thousand dollars. It’s a good thing I changed my mind and flew back because all that day I was there, all I got were text messages from uhaul telling me “my equipment was not available “!!!!! No truck!! What a pitiful pitiful was to do business with a customer who had paid them heir bill without issue for over a year! Horrible! Most of my bad experience happened at the locations in Watson in Warner Robins. The staff member at 301 was pleasant. She promised to lock my unit once the mover finished putting everything in there. I hope that actually happened.
