Upon pick up I was talked down to by the man behind the counter. He mumbled the whole time not once making eye contact. He asked me to sign without doing a walk around the van as well as the amount of gas in it. When I hesitated and told him I really didn't like the fact neither had been done he became even more rude pointed out the window and told me it's right out there!! He would not go out with me. My husband told him also I was deaf in one ear and could not hear him well and he continued to mumble even lower. This is not my first time renting or having a bad experience with this location but this is the one time I could not accept it anymore. I will try another location if needed in the future or stop renting from u haul all together. Very disappointed and I've always said if you are that miserable with your job you should follow another path. This is not a case of a bad as I said..I've had problems each time I've rented from this location.

We reserved a 26 footer and were notified several days early that there was only a 20 footer available. This location told us in plenty of time and offered us the truck for a longer period of time and earlier, along with a trailer if needed. This worked out pretty well, and we appreciated not having to run two hours away to get a bigger truck.

I originally reserved a 20' truck from Friday to Sunday. The evening of the next day when I was supposed to pick up I get a call on my way there saying they don't have the truck for me. The excuse was that the girl that took my reservations was new and she didn't know the system. Of course I was quite upset because I mad made arrangements to move and was under the gun. They told me that there was a 15' truck available. Of course I had to accept the 15' truck and now had to make several more trips now that the truck was much smaller. I asked the guy I was dealing with if they could compensate me in some way and he told me no there was not. (the price is the price) When I picked up truck it was clean but exhaust was very loud. Question is will I be renting from Uhaul again? Most likely not.

Two different reservations didn't have size truck we needed. 1 was cancelled without notifying. Had movers scheduled twice and had to cancel them. Still had to pay movers because they showed up. Cost me 1000. Not gappy

This store could use some extra help at times when there is an appointment with a PD to get all my personal belongings.

U-Haul, 2 deal breakers: 1. Why are you contractually charging me $4 a gallon of gas to refill the truck if I didn't get a chance to do it myself? One gallon of gas as of today, 8/21/17, is $2.29! That, I did NOT like about my rental. 2. My 15' rental had a gasoline 10 cylinder engine and got maybe 10mpg. This truck should have had a diesel engine both for performance and mpg. Feeling like you took advantage of a me with a lot of the details in the fine print If moving anything local again, I will go to Home Depot to rent.

Received a 17 ft truck when the 15 ft I reserved was not available. Was pleased with how UHaul handled the arrangement.

Reserved a trailer, no problem. When we arrived to pick up trailer, waited long time- (new guys??) and was told we needed a $10 adapter to use trailer. The rental of trailer was only $14., so this unexpected cost was almost doubling original amount. ugh.

I rented a truck one way that I needed only for 24 hours. I was told that on the phone with the central reservations person and later at the rental location that, even though my reservation said "three days," any fees for unused days (i.e., the two days I did not need) would be refunded when I returned the truck. When I returned the truck, however, I was told that one-way rentals were always for three days no matter how many days I kept the vehicle, and hence, that there would be no refund. Instead, the attendant at the return location (McLean, VA) told me that I should make a complaint to U-Haul. I am not sure which is correct, but in any case, I think that there needs to be improved communications here.

I was really impressed with the U-Haul truck we had (a 15' SuperMover). It was loaded to the gills and in addition, I towed a car hauler behind with a Sonata on board. Had plenty of power for the 1500 mile trip and the way the brakes worked with the transmission was a very pleasant surprise. The truck was very friendly with gas stations and would have liked meeting them all. All in all, a very good experience for both man and machine.

Trailer Light wiring came loose during or trip. I fixed the wiring, but was delayed returning the trailer. I was penalized and forced to pay a full day's rental when I returned the trailer late. To be clear I was late because of faulty equipment. I went out of my way to fix the problem and be safe. This is a lousy way to treat customers.
