I love U-Haul and have rented many times. But, I was very disappointed when I went to the nearby location I had chosen online to get my equipment and was then told my reservation had been moved to another location across town. Perhaps it would not have been so frustrating had I not needed to leave town as quickly as possible to pick up my sons broken down car, which was three hours away. I wish U-haul would have sent me a text or an email saying that my reservation have been moved. Then, I had no help hooking up the auto transport trailer. No one checked the lights and I had to back up and connect to the trailer on my own. All the above made for a very disappointing experience. But, the check-in experience with Carlos was superb as I’ve come to expect from U-Haul.

The owner of this location needs to lose his ability to rent Uhauls. We needed a truck at 8am on Sat. We went to another uhaul location to rent the truck a week early. They told us that we would have it without an issue. The day before we need the truck, we get a call from Uhaul notifying us that we had to pick up our truck from a location 15 miles away across town, and as early as 9am. When we mentioned this would not work. We were told that they attempted to move the truck to the corporate location but the owner refused because he would not get his commission from the sale. So we agreed to stay at that location but we needed the truck at 8am. So uhaul allowed us to use their new 25/7 pickup (which is great, highly recommend it. Great job Uhaul) in order to pick the truck up before the location opened. When we got their, the system showed where they hid the key, although when we go to look for it, it wasn't there. We had to contact the area manager in order to get our truck. Once we got the truck with a new key, later in the day I received a call from the Owner of the location we got moved to demanding to know how I "took his truck without the key". After informing him that I spoke to Uhaul and they helped me he informed me that I made a deal with uhaul, not him and that was his truck. This was truly a horriable experience and almost makes me never want to rent with uhaul again. The Area manager was amazing though. That guy saved the day!
