This is a scary location. The business building with the U-Haul signage at the roadside appears abandoned at close inspection, and you then have to traverse a maze of junked cars to fiind Rick, the proprietor, in his shop. The shop is a hoarders-delight, dirty and piled high with car parts and trash. A pitbull was what greeted us. Rick knew nothing of electronic pickup, and almost did not allow me to take my truck. He clearly was not trained in this new technology. I personally would not want this location as the face of U-Haul. I would use another company if that was my only pickup option.

rude, and a junk yard

The particular trailer I rented did not tow well. It would start to fishtail at about 65 mph. I have rented several trailers over the past year and none had any problems except this one, it needs to have some maintenance performed!

Turn in location was distant and difficult to find. Owner/operator said he was closed when we arrived at the time we were told by UHaul to turn it in. Thankfully, he was grudgingly willing to accept the turn-in, but we had to request a signature on our paperwork as he had no type of receipt proving we had turned the vehicle. In addition, U-Haul texted us to return the truck to this location, even though there were closer ones, adding to the incremental mileage owed -- which, although it was a small amount, does not fit with the customer service standard we were expecting based on the pick up location.

No one available to check in truck. Just dropped off truck and put keys in box.

Charged an extra 266 dollars for equipment that did not exist to begin with, miles that did not occur while the vehicle was rented AND for gas when it was returned with MORE than when i had picked the vehicle up.

I wanted to drop off the trailer in Blacksburg after taking my daughter back to school and Uhaul sent me to another town 30 minutes away. I passed two Ihaul stores on the way.

Tight parking not conducive to trailer drop off.

Unprofessional service by the associate at this location.

Had to wait for the agent to pee his dog 20 min after pickup time. Office was filthy dirty and smoke filled. Agent smoked one sigarette after the other in the small office where I had to wait and sign documents. Worst experience of my life.

Rick is a stand up old timer with quite a collection of old cars and motorcycles if you have time to chat.

Make sure the customer knows where to pick up the uhaul. The last email I got stated it would be a one location. When I showed up there, it wasn't so we had to track it down. The guy at Ricks garage was very "gruff" and slow. He did not show us anything about the equipment just gave us the keys and said here you go. No pre inspection or anything. When we dropped it off on Sunday, at first he wasn't there. Then he speed in picked some one up and drove off with out even acknowledging me, so I had to leave the keys in night drop. One headlight bulb was out and we were concerned that the uhaul sticker inside the vehicle said it had not been inspected in a while. There was food in the floorboard and someones toothbrush and the cupholders were dirty and sticky. I understand that the box is not waterproof, but water must have came in pretty good when we were driving, because most all of our boxes at the floor were wet. Not impressed, will be looking for another rental company as this is something we will be doing about once a month.

you moved my reservation, i went to location & was told i had to go pick up the truck at another location. in all adding 40 miles to a 10 mile trip. the truck was not full. 3/4 tank. the truck steered bad & had very little brakes. i will never rent one again..

The trailer that I reserved was NOT delivered to the correct location, but rather ~15 miles away. This compromised my moving schedule both coming and going, not to mention added ~60 miles total to my driving. The location where I picked the trailer up were very helpful and friendly, it's just a shame that Uhaul ran me all over the county when there were four (4) locations closer to my home.

Make aware pick up location is changed well in advance. Pick up time was 8 am facility did not open until 9. Internet was down. A real nightmare

Extremely cluttered, smoking in the office I had to stand there for 30 minuets while getting yanked around breathing that garbage. Very rude bunch there. And should not be allowed to carry your business name on there property. I’ll never pickup from there again
