Customer Reviews

U-haul provided instructions for dropping off my truck but not the trailer I rented. When I called to get help they left me on hold. Very frustrating.

Had a great experience at this place. Everybody was friendly and the trailer was ready as soon as I got there. They installed my hitch too. Very helpful!

This is a continuation of the comments on the pick up location. Everything at the drop off location was excellent. This experience was a nightmare. First the rate I was charged was 20% higher than what I was quoted when I made the reservation. I said I needed a 7AM pickup and they said no problem. The afternoon before I received a text saying it Should be picked up at a different location and not available till 10 AM. I called and they directed me to a traffic person who said nothing could be done. I asked to speak to her manager but she apparently left for the day. I asked her to have her manager listen to the tape of our conversation and call me back the next day - she never did. I went to the location that they told me to go to for the trailer. The arrogant person said he had no idea about the trailer. I showed him the text and the email that said the trailer was supposed to be there - he blew it off. Upon further checking he said the trailer was at the original location that it was supposed to have it. I started driving there and was called and said the trailer was on the computer but not physically there. Ten minutes later I was called again and was told one just arrived and was there. I almost lost a sales over this not even considering the stress and additional mileage I did running all over town. The person I was delivering the vehicle to had to change all his plans as we were three hours off because of the change by U Haul. I will never do business with these guys again. The only person who did any good for me was Jackson at the Grand store. He was a great young man and should get a promotion for being so diligent in trying to make a terrible experience for me a little tolerable. Being a business manager, this situation was a textbook case of how not to run a business. Customer satisfaction is zero. Reservations are practically worthless. Managers don’t seem concerned about anything. I could go on, but based on my experience I doubt anyone will even read this.

I went in there to rent a uhaul trailer and the guy wasted 7 hours of my time to buy the truck I was hauling. Ounce I told him my dad passed he was all over it.

Great Customer care!!!

I have found out subsequently from your staff that the trailer was nearly 40 years old, and it looked that way. Torn metal walls inside the trailed placed my property at risk. A loose latch was held in place only by the lock I had on hand. Finally, the trailer's undercarriage and wheels are clearly in disrepair. Heavy balding on the inside of each tire indicates some sort of alignment or axle problem. I can only wonder at when bearings etc where last serviced. I am fairly certain that the undercarriage condition led to the heating of the deck, and that led to the burning of a hole through my camping gear as tent poles conducted and focused heat on tent materials. For these reasons, I pulled the trailer for as long as I absolutely needed it and then dropped it well short of my final destination. It should no longer be in service.

Truck overheated on trip from Wyoming to Utah. Caused a MAJOR inconvenience and messed up our entire plans. Truck was towed 140 miles from Lander WY to Rock Springs, WY. By pure luck (blessing?) the repair shop had the part needed to get the truck back on the road (Did I mention it was the 4th of July holiday?). The delay caused our unloading help on the other end to have to leave. We were also transferring part of our load to another truck to go on to Las Vegas. The transfer was missed and the person that was going to drive that truck had to fly home. Overall, the impact to us costs well over $2000. All that said, Uhaul actually handled the situation pretty well. I've submitted a complaint and we'll see how that works out. Bottom line, this truck should not have been available for rent. The radiator fan clutch had failed. A reasonable maintenance inspection on the truck would have found this problem and should have been fixed.

I arrived at a very busy time and had to park the truck on the other side of a busy street. The gentlemen had nothing but a friendly and professional attitude and I was amazed how quickly the paper work was done. Highly recommend.

What started out as a satisfactory experience was diminished when I turned the truck in and was charged an additional 11 dollars plus for gas (gauge a needle width below where I started) and additional millage. My pickup location was outside Helena and drop off was outside Cody. My impression was of being nickle and dimed for additional charges.
