Customer Reviews

Just make sure that the mechanics are in perfect working order before releasing. Our van had a cut gas tank pipe to the gas tank and when we took it to fill the tank after pick up, the gas poured all under the van at the gas station. We had to wait until repaired before we could drive it and fill with gas. Otherwise everything went smoothly.

The service was great, no problems at all, very pleased with the facility and personnel.

There was the minor problem - that the clerk forgot to give me back my drivers license and had to come find me later in the day at the rental space while I was unloading the truck.

Excellent customer service. I could not have been more pleased.

The fuel tank on my vehicle was under 3/4 of a tank when I picked it up, and did not notice until I was at my house and started packing. The form I signed was at 7/8 of a tank.

Service was great and she was understanding about any problems I had. I would definitely recommend this location.

I rented a 20 ft truck from another palm desert area dealer and they didn't have any trucks and my rental was not returned on time so I couldn't get it. Fortunately the manager, Josh, at the first site found this site that had a 15 foot truck available at 2 pm. I had reserved for 12 noon. I flew down from northern California to southern California just for 24 hours to help my mom move. U haul did not live up to my expectations and although I have used you over many years, this service was very poor. The people at the individual sites on the other hand, were very helpful.

I am very upset about my experience with U Haul! After paperwork was done we were sent out to pick up the 20ft. truck at which time we noticed gas cap hanging off side of truck and a siphon hose laying behind it, I immediately called the office (as it was a ways away from the truck) and told the person that took our information. And she just said it was fine since the gas tank still showed full, they probably didn't get any gas because they got scared off. Drove the truck 25 miles to the house we were moving from and gas gauge came off full really fast. On the ways home I was driving behind my husband driving truck and noticed a garden hose trailing from axel area but thought no more about it. We loaded quite a bit in the truck and my husband noticed hose and followed it to the gas tank which they had cut the filler hose from gas neck to tank, I then called roadside and was told we had to now unload truck so the could repair fill hose. So the truck should have been checked out when I reported the initial problem and we would not have had to load, unload and load again and not be able to get started on final load until 2:45 pm and Oh we reserved 12 packing blankets and was told they have not had any for over a month then we had to go to another location to pick them up. With the initial stress of moving our Mother to another state and have most of the day lost as well as the help we had for early in the day which we lost and at 66 years old we had to work until 10pm to get loaded by ourselves made for one awful experience! I would expect a company of your size could manage to refund some of our payment due to short gas fill and time lost! I would appreciate some compensation please! I feel the rep. in DHS knew siphoning trucks was a problem and should have then came out to look at the truck that should have never left the site. Disgruntled customer
